CES 2021: HyperX unveils new PC and console gaming peripherals

Besides expanding the availability of the Cloud II Wireless, Pulsefire Haste, and Cloud Revolver + 7.1, HyperX has announced two new peripherals for PC and consoles at CES 2021: the Alloy Origins 60 mechanical keyboard and the ChargePlay Duo controller charging station for Xbox.

Starting with HyperX's first 60% gaming keyboard, the Alloy Origins 60 is a compact mechanical gaming keyboard for those who want to increase their desk space. Featuring HyperX Red linear switches, the keys have a short actuation point and travel time to help increase responsiveness. The included double-shot PBT keycaps come with their secondary functions printed on the side for easy visibility.

Like most gaming keyboards, the Alloy Origins 60 features RGB lighting. Users can customise the LEDs via the HyperX Ngenuity software, as well as switch to Game Mode and configure macro settings for up to three profiles stored on the keyboard itself.

HyperX also unveiled the ChargePlay Duo controller charging station for Xbox controllers. Compatible with Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One wireless controllers, this charging station will come with 2x extra battery doors for the Xbox Series X/S controllers and 2x 1400mAH rechargeable battery packs.

Daniel Kelley, director of corporate marketing at HyperX, stated that as the popularity of gaming increases due to people searching for “safe, entertaining ways to stay connected with friends and family”, the company is committed to “deliver best in class products for whenever or however one plays”.

HyperX Cloud II Wireless, Pulsefire Haste, and Cloud Revolver + 7.1 are now available globally, priced at $149.99, $49.99, and $149.99, respectively. The HyperX Alloy Origins 60 keyboard will be available in the US on February 22, priced at $99.99. The HyperX ChargePlay duo controller charging station will also be available in the US in February, priced at $39.99.
