FSP releases the Hydro PTM Pro series of 80Plus Platinum PSUs

FSP's latest addition to its PSU portfolio is the Hydro PTM Pro series featuring 80Plus Platinum certification. This series consists of 5 models with varying wattages, starting at 650W and up to 1200W, ” serving mid-range to enthusiast and workstation PC systems”.

Featuring “Off-Wet” conformal coating on the outside and 3-layer coating on its PCB, the Hydro PTM Pro power supplies are “built to last”. These coatings allow the Hydro PTM Pro PSUs to be used in systems facing harsh environments, as they protect these units from “dust, stains, and even relative humidity extremes of up to 95%”.

The 105 ºC electrolytic capacitors used in these PSUs are 100% Japanese and the mainboard and daughterboard use copper bars between them to increase the power conversion efficiency, resulting in an “output voltage at +/- 1% accuracy at any load change” for improving voltage stability. The powerful 12 V single rail design allows users to access the whole wattage through it, while the high-power 5Vsb circuit can deliver up to 3A to handle auxiliary devices or components.

The ECO switch allows users to operate the PSU in a semi-fanless mode that makes the 135mm fluid dynamic bearing fan kick in only when the internal load is above 30%, increasing the fan's life span. The 80Plus Platinum efficiency ensures that these PSUs have a power efficiency of at least 92% at 20% load, 94% at 50% load, and 90% at 100% load.

Available with 650W, 750W,850W, 1000W, and 1200W, all models of the Hydro PTM Pro series are fully modular and feature OVP, UVP, OCP, OPP, SCP, and OTP to ensure the safety of your hardware. Additionally, they are compliant with IEC 62368 and with the ATX12V v2.4 & EPS12V v2.92 standards. The number of available connectors and cables are different between the models. The 650W and 750W models only have 2x CPU (8+4-pin EPS) power connectors, while the 850W, 1000W, and 1200W models have three.

All Hydro PTM Pro models are available now, with the 650W model priced at $164.99, the 750W model at $189.99, the 850W model at $214.99, the 1000W model at $249.99, and the 1200W model at $269.99.
