AVerMedia releases the first external 4K HDR and 240 FPS capture box

AVerMedia is launching the Live Gamer Bolt GC555, the “world's first external 4K HDR and 240FPS video capture box”. Although it has just launched, the Bolt has already been awarded with the Taiwan Excellence 2020 Award for its innovation, and the Red Dot Award for its aesthetics.

AVerMedia Live Gamer Bolt is capable of recording 4K@60FPS content in HDR10, 1440p@144 or 1080p content at up to 240FPS, allowing players to capture more immersive gameplay and slow-motion highlights.

Just like other AVerMedia products, the Bolt also features its “acclaimed ultra-low latency with a preview latency of less than 50ms”. Thanks to the Thunderbolt 3 connection (not compatible with USB 3.0, 3.1, 3.2) it's possible to deliver uncompressed content due to the interface high bandwidth. Additionally, the built-in video processing unit can be used to upscale and downscale the videos, convert frame rates, and HDR to SDR tone map in real-time, without compromising the processor and graphics card performance.

Bolt's portable design allows content creators to transport it with ease to anywhere they go, and the RGB effects can be adjusted to match any setup. There are two audio inputs available – HDMI 2.0 and 3.5mm Line In jack – with 7.1/5.1 Ch surround sound pass-through and one HDMI 2.0 video input and output (pass-through).

The AVerMedia Live Gamer Bolt is available now for £399. If you want to learn more about it, click HERE.
