Xbox API updates hint at imminent launch for Ubisoft+ on console

At some point last year, Ubisoft began working towards bringing its Ubisoft+ subscription service over to consoles. In the meantime, Ubisoft has been bringing a bunch of games over to PS+ and Xbox Game Pass alike, but soon, the full service should be available on Xbox consoles.

As spotted by TrueAchievements, the Xbox API was recently updated with new data suggesting that Ubisoft+ will soon launch for Xbox consoles. Ubisoft+ tags have been added and there are backend updates to the Microsoft Store that show that a store page is being built behind the scenes and is waiting to go live.

A number of titles have already had the Ubisoft+ tag added, giving us a sneak peek at some of the titles planned for the Ubisoft+ subscription on Xbox. These games include:

  • Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China
  • Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India
  • Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia
  • Assassin's Creed III Remastered
  • Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag
  • Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered
  • Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection
  • Assassin's Creed Valhalla
  • Family Feud
  • Far Cry 3 Classic Edition
  • Far Cry 4
  • Far Cry 6
  • Monopoly Madness
  • Monopoly Plus
  • Rabbids: Party of Legends
  • Rayman Legends
  • Riders Republic
  • Scott Pilgrim vs the World: The Game – Complete Edition
  • The Crew 2
  • Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint
  • Tom Clancy's The Division 2
  • Trivial Pursuit
  • Uno
  • Watch Dogs Legion

That's just the list so far, we would expect more games to be added to further flesh out the library and get subscribers through the door. We know through Ubisoft's subscription efforts on PlayStation that Ubisoft+ for consoles is likely to be a more limited version of the service with a cheaper subscription price, compared to the PC version, which grants day-one access to all Ubisoft games at release.

KitGuru Says: Ubisoft has been struggling to hit sales targets for recent releases, but perhaps a subscription service could help minimise the impact of that. Still, we'll have to wait and see just how good the offering ends up being. From the looks of it, Ubisoft+ will be hitting Xbox very soon.
