Asus announces the TUF Gaming VG24VQR 165Hz curved gaming monitor

ASUS has unveiled the latest addition to its gaming monitors portfolio – the TUF Gaming VG24VQR. This 24-inch curved gaming monitor is certified with Freesync Premium and features a 165Hz refresh rate and Asus's Extreme Low Motion Blur technology “for professional gamers and those seeking immersive gameplay”.

The Asus TUF Gaming VG24VQR uses a 23.6-inch curved VA panel (1500R) with a FullHD resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, and 1ms of response time (MPRT). Featuring wide viewing angles, 350nits of peak brightness, and a maximum contrast ratio of 3000:1, the TUF Gaming VG24VQR covers 72% of the NTSC colour gamut.

This monitor features flicker-free technology and low blue light mode to reduce the user's eye strain. It supports Adaptive-Sync with both Nvidia and AMD GPUs and it certified as FreeSync Premium monitor to offer a tear-free gaming experience. It also features ELMB to achieve 1ms MPRT, eliminating “smearing and motion blur, and makes objects in motion look sharper”. Other gaming features include Shadow Boost to brighten dark areas, GamePlus to offer in-game enhancements such as an on-screen crosshair, a timer, FPS counter, and align the display, and colour presets for multiple game genres.

Signal input options include 2x HDMI 1.4 ports, a DisplayPort 1.2, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There are also 2x 2W speakers. The monitor has good ergonomic features, allowing you to tilt (-5º to 23º), swivel (±62º), pivot (±90º), and adjust its height by 150mm. Additionally, there's support for VESA wall mounting (100x100mm).

Pricing and availability have not been shared by the manufacturer. You can learn more about this monitor HERE.
