Philips launches full range of Evnia displays

Philips first unveiled its new Evnia brand back in October 2022 and since then, the company has gone on to reveal a full line-up of impressive monitors, including some excellent value 240Hz displays and high-end OLED monitors. Now, Evnia has officially launched in the UK.

Evnia has a total of five monitors on the market so far, including two 34-inch and 42-inch OLED displays for fans of larger screens, and smaller 25-inch and 27-inch monitors for those looking to game at 1080p or 1440p at high refresh rates.

We'll start off with the entry-level Evnia monitors – the Philips Evnia 25M2N3200W and the 25M2N5200P. Both of these monitors have been designed with gamers in mind, providing considerably high refresh rates of 240Hz and 280Hz, respectively, ensuring that even the most intense action sequences remain smooth with clear, accurate images free of juddering and ghosting. Both are reasonably priced too, coming in at £179.99 and £269.99 respectively.

Next up is the Evnia 27M2C5500W, which packs a 27-inch curved VA panel with QHD resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate and a 1ms G2G response time. It also adds DisplayHDR 400, which is entry-level for HDR, but at its current price of £429.99, we'd say it's a good value-add.

Finally, we come up to Evnia's two flagship OLED displays – the Philips Evnia 34M2C8600 and the Philips Evnia 42M2N8900.

Philips Evnia 34M2C8600. This monitor comes with a Quantum Dot OLED panel, measuring in at 34 inches. You get plenty of speed for gaming thanks to the 175Hz refresh rate and 0.1ms response time. The panel also boasts HDR capabilities, with this monitor being DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified. Other key features of the monitor include a USB-C port, a KVM switch and a height-adjustable stand.

The Philips Evnia 42M2N8900 is a 42-inch OLED display, so you'll need a large desk if you plan on using it as a day-to-day monitor. The OLED display is 10-bit, so you'll get decent colour accuracy. For gaming, the display has a 0.1ms response time as well as a 138Hz maximum refresh rate for smooth and responsive gameplay.

The Philips Evnia OLED displays are priced at £1,149 and £1,499 respectively.

One of the key selling points of an Evnia display versus a regular gaming monitor is the design. Evnia displays are designed to do away with the typical design elements we see in gaming-oriented hardware, opting for a sleeker, modern design that looks good in the home or the office.
