Clevo to adjust operating strategies – due to low sales

Clevo, one of the largest Taiwan based notebook makers are set to hold an internal conference to adjust their generalised operation strategies this week. This is due to lower than expected shipments of notebooks in 2010.

Clevo supply the chassis for many notebook manufacturers and their sales in 2010 have been down to 320,000 in the first quarter of 2010 and 330,000 for the second quarter. Our sources in the far east claim that their change in strategy will determine a focus on increasing profitability.

Clevo have a huge channel retailing business in China and they are spending money to continue expansion in 2010/2011.

KitGuru says: Clevo own successful Buynow IT, who are opening two more chains in the latter part of 2010 which will mean they will have a total of 22 nationwide outlets in China.
