Lian Li release new TYR PC-X2000F HTPC Chassis

Lian Li have released some beautiful and exotic chassis over the years and I find their understated and smooth lines very appealling. Today they have announced their latest TYR PC-X2000F which is finished with sexy anodised aluminum.

The chassis is a full (note: giant) tower and measures 240mm x 695mm x 442mm and weighs an eye popping 11.7KB. Lian Li are not only promoting this chassis for the ultimate high end gamer but for  those of you who want something stylish and attractive for the living room.

Technically the case is 10mm thicker than the predecessor and has more room behind the motherboard tray for enhanced cable management. It also supports E-ATX and M-ATX as well as ATX. There are four 5.25inch drive bays and there are seven internal 3.5 inch bays also.

There are eight expansion slots which will give plenty of scope for future-proofing and Lian Li bundle a whopping five 140mm fans with the purchase, three front intake and two rear exhausts for a traditional, effective air flow pattern. These are controllable by the fan dial and they have also included rubber mounting strips and 2mm thick side panels to make sure vibrations don't interrupt your enjoyment.

Lian Li are keen to point out to us that they have split drive bays between various thermal ‘zones' for enhanced cooling and there is also a vent below the PSU slot with improved tool free design.

KitGuru says: Wipe the drool off your chin and be prepared to whip out the wallet when this is released.
