Lenovo release new laptop-tablet hybrids

Lenovo have launched a new series of Windows laptop-tablet hybrid systems that they hope will help boost sales in both business and consumer markets.

The new devices will be running Windows 8 and Windows RT operating systems, and are touchscreen capable. These hybrids can easily transform between a tablet and laptop form factor.

Peter Hortensius, president of Lenovo's product group, in a statement “We think these innovative convertibles are the best devices for a groundbreaking touchscreen experience, plus their multi-modes give people even more ways to use their PC.”

The prices are announced between $549 and $1,099 in America.

Lenovo ThinkPad Twist - the company claim all day battery life

The new ThinkPad Twist features a 12.5 inch screen, and one of the latest Core i7 processors with an optional solid state drive with 128GB of Storage. If size is more important then they also offer a 500GB mechanical version.

Lenovo are also planning to release the ThinkPad Tablet 2, also powered by an Intel processor and designed for Windows 8.

The company are also releasing the IdeaPad Yoga 13, one of the first ‘multimode UltraBooks'. This has a 16.9mm frame, 13 inch screen and new Intel processor with eight hours battery life. the Yoga 11 is 11.6 inch with Windows RT and a Tegra 3 quad core processor onboard.

Lastly, the company are releasing the new IdeaTab Lynx, one of the first Windows 8 tablets to have the new Intel dual core ATOM processor installed. The company claim a whopping 16 hours battery life.
