RIM confirms what resolutions will be present on BB10 devices

While the launch of the first BlackBerry 10 devices are still a few months away, Resarch In Motion has informed developers what resolutions the first wave of devices will use.

Two resolutions will be present on RIM's hopeful resurgence into the smartphone market; 1280×720 and 720×720. The full touch screen devices will have the 720p resolution, a lot like many recent higher-end Android smartphones. Meanwhile the 720×720 resolution displays will be limited to the traditional BlackBerry devices with a QWERTY keyboard and square display.

Considering RIM's CEO has mentioned that there could be up to six BlackBerry 10 devices, it is hard to see where any major differentiation will come from.

KitGuru says: Now that possible developers know what is in store for them, RIM just has to convince them to make the move.
