YOYOTech offer bundles of joy with a stack of price cuts

Following the company's purchase by IT giant Centerprise, there have been a lot of changes at YOYOTech, including some aggressive price drops. KitGuru scans the latest offers, sticks in its thumb and tries to pull out a plum.

The sudden movement of £300 on AMD's top FX processors following the in-depth article on KitGuru, has created a line up that is – overall – quite attractive for overclockers on a budget.

KitGuru's experience with the Asrock Extreme range has been, overall, positive. A key feature includes the ‘Present' list in the OC Tweaker section. For those that want instant OC coolness, with little or no experience, Asrock engineers have included some intelligent/balanced preset profiles for bus speed etc that will make you look smart in front of your mates. As example on the latest Intel version is that a 4.4Ghz OC for the 4770k is offered with a button click, but there are 4.6GHz and 4.8GHz options in red.

The chaps at YOYOTech have paired this board with a 3.6GHz 8-core FX8150 processor, Xigmatek Dark Knight cooler and 8GB of DDR3 1600MHz, all of which (together) normally retails at £299 inc vat.

To celebrate the launch of the company's new web site and premises, they have lopped £50 off this deal – and quite a few more.

The pricing on the V-Pro board is competitive, the 650 chassis is currently £86 on sites like More Computers, but the Fractal at £59 is a bit special - over £10 less than eBuyer

KitGuru says: Without doubt, affordable overclocking is AMD's strongest suit with the FX processors, so this kind of deal is attractive.

KitGuru had a stonkingly successful CES 2024, however there is one small gap in our coverage that needs to be addressed. We gave plenty of coverage to Intel's new Core Ultra range of Meteor Lake laptop processors but appeared to give AMD the cold shoulder, and it is now time to fix that apparent oversight.
