When Intel launched their latest high end X79 platform, Kitguru was on hand with three, detailed reviews. One of the most impressive talking points with X79 is the use of Quad channel memory, which delivers substantially higher bandwidth results than anything else on the market. Today we are looking at the latest kit from G.Skill – the RipJawsZ 16GB kit which runs at a very tasty 2,400mhz.

This isn't the first 2,400mhz X79 based memory kit we have reviewed … on launch day we looked at Corsair GTX8 8GB which managed to break all of the Kitguru records. The Corsair GTX8 is finished with beautiful red heatspreaders and sold with a $500 price tag.

G.Skill have been working hard behind the scenes and have released a staggering list of memory kits for the X79 platform, including configurations right up to 64Gb! G.Skill sent us their F3-19200CL11Q-16GBZHD 16GB kit, which runs @ 2,400mhz with 11-11-11-31 timings.
