Samsung ready to cut Apple a deal over legal action

As many regular readers will know, Samsung and Apple have been at loggerheads now for months, over patent infringement concerns. Apple have successfully blocked sales of Samsung's Galaxy products in a few countries, but the legal wrangling continues. The latest news would indicate that Samsung are willing to put forward a proposal to end the dispute, but Apple are still considering the terms.

Bloomberg reported that a court in Sydney, Australia have been informed of a proposal, passed between Samsung and Apple to end the dispute. Samsung's lawyer has not provided details to the offer, or even if the offer would clear up issues in other countries. Apple's lawyer, Steven Burley has said he will take some time to review the offer and consider the proposal.

Bloomberg reported that he said “I can't promise when I’ll make a decision. “I will try to get it out as soon as possible.”

At this time, Samsung are unable to sell their Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia, and proceedings are set to resume tomorrow, just as Apple release their new smartphone at an event in America, held by CEO Tim Cook.
