Sony offer a couple of old games to appease PSN customers

Sony are trying to appease their customer base by offering free access to Playstation Plus and a couple of free games.

The ‘Welcome Back' package aimed at UK Playstation Network customers will allow the gamers to choose two games from a selection of older titles such as LittleBigPlanet, inFamous, WipeOut HD/Fury, Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty, and Dead Nation. If you have a Playstation Portable and a Playstation Network account then two titles can be selected from LittleBigPlanet PSP, ModNation PSP, Pursuit Force, and Killzone Liberation.

Playstation 3 owners also get 30 days free access to PlayStation Plus which gives new features and exclusive offers to the usually free PSN service. If you already subscribe then 60 days will be added, free. UK gamers sadly don't seem to be protected under the US ‘credit card protection and ID theft support', a new facility set to reassure gamers that they were now in a safe environment online.

Already, customers are complaining that offering a few older, free games is no way to win back faith in the Sony company name, however at least Sony are trying something. Japanese regulators however aren't taking it all so lightly, they are still refusing the Playstation Network to resume business, wanting more information on the leak, and the plans to help support their customers.
