Twitter is an outlet for Israel and Hamas

At this stage in the life of social networking, we're all used to seeing downtrodden citizens using the site to show persecution by governments and their own struggles for freedom. However something a bit different is happening in the latest Israel/Hamas conflict: both sides are speaking out.

Comparatively the Palestinian Alqassam Brigades have a much more modest 8,500 followers and have been leaving more traditional messages, as well as some horrifying images of dead children – purportedly victims of recent IDF attacks.
