Google Chrome and Drive arrive on iOS

Following yesterday's news that Chrome had left behind the beta tag on Android it is now available on iOS. Alongside this, Google's cloud storage system now has its own application for iOS. If you have an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running iOS 4.3 or newer you will be able to install Google's browser while Drive is available on the same devices but requires iOS 5 or newer.

Chrome for iOS looks identical to the Android version and as you might expect you get full access to all of your desktop bookmarks and passwords. Users can have an unlimited number of tabs open which can be switched between quickly by swiping off the side of the screen. For those wanting a change from Safari and already use Google Chrome on their desktop you can find Chrome in the App Store.

Google Drive offers users with 5 GB of free cloud storage and now supports offline Google Docs editing. It can be found in the App Store now.

KitGuru says: Be sure to check out these very useful applications on your iDevice of choice.
