Buffalo TeraStation Pro 8 Bay Review

Kitguru loves high performance NAS systems, and we have been focusing lately on many of the new Synology range. Today however we are looking at a very competitively priced product from Buffalo – the TeraStation Pro 8 Bay which is supplied with 8x1TB hard drives. This is the most affordable in a range of three configurations including 16TB and 24TB options.

The TeraStation Pro 8 Bay NAS is a performance based solution which Buffalo claim is ideal for users who want to implement a RAID based network storage solution for larger networks and business critical applications.

On a hardware level it is based around a dual core Intel Atom D510 processor with 2GB of DDR memory, so performance should be snappy. Buffalo haven't cut corners, offering Active Directory support, disk quota support, share level replication, dual gigabit ethernet ports, USB 2.0 accessory capabilities and hot swap hard drives.

Buffalo support the TeraStation Pro 8 Bay with a 3 year limited warranty.
