new ‘3D active glasses’ partnership formed

Three giants of the electronics industry have formed a partnership to produce new 3D Active glasses. Sony, Panasonic and Samsung Electronics said today that they will work together in producing new standards for 3D images on television, computers and movie screens.

The three huge corporations are working in tandem with European technology firm X6D Limited and their statement said they will cover a technology called ‘3D Active Glasses. These glasses should go on sale in 2012 and will be compatible with 3D televisions being released this year.

The statement was proud to state “Today?s announcement marks a unique collaboration of the world?s leading 3D TV manufacturers and 3D technology providers for the benefit of consumers.”
