ASUS F1A75-I Deluxe Motherboard Review (with A6-3650)

Rating: 8.5.

We have reviewed a wide selection of products in the new AMD budget range, but today we look at something special, the ASUS F1A75-I Deluxe. This is a premium mini ITX motherboard which offers a capable foundation for a new media center system.

Asus have a reputation for creating some of the finest motherboards available to the enthusiast audience, and I have had many great experiences over the years, pushing processors to the limit.

The A75 platform has proven to be a really solid low end platform from AMD, offering great power efficiency with solid performance. Today we look at building a low cost media center under £500, but one that can handle 1080p gaming with ease. Is it possible?

The board supports USB 3.0, SATA 6 GBps but it also includes ‘Dual Intelligent Processors 2 with DIGI+ VRM'.

According to ASUS this is “The world’s first Dual Intelligent Processors from ASUS pioneered the use of two onboard chips – TPU (TurboV Processing Unit) and EPU (Energy Processing Unit). Its new generation of Dual Intelligent Processors 2 with DIGI+ VRM launches power delivery into a digital standard with a programmable microprocessor that perfectly serves power signal, eliminating digital-to-analog conversion lag. It’s the most precise power delivery available providing the best in class power efficiency, greater performance, and rock solid stability. With ASUS DIGI+ VRM, users can easily adjust power phase performance and system voltages via diverse settings to maximize overall performance and overclocking potential.”

On paper, it looks to be one of the finest A75 boards, and ideal for a small form factor system build.
