AOC has launched its brand new P1 Series of monitors, the successor to its business-focused 75 Seires. Designed from the ground up to offer versatility, the P1 series caters to a range of different sizes from 21.5 to 27-inches, with a choice of TN, IPS and MVA panels.
The AOC 22P1, 22P1D, 24P1, X24P1, 27P1 and Q27P1 all sport a fully adjustable, ergonomic stand with built-in cable management. AOC says that this stand gives the user flexibility on viewing, with “130 mm (on 21.5” displays) or 150 mm (on 23.8”+ display sizes) height adjustment and -175/+175° swivel, -5/35° tilt options.”
In an effort to improve connectivity, modern connections are paired with legacy ports, seeing a HDMI and DisplayPort 1.2 side-by-side with DVI-D and VGA connections. All aside from the AOC 22P1D contain a built-in side-mounted USB 3.0 hub, enabling the user to quickly use the monitor as a pass-through rather than locating the nearest free port on the tower.

The AOC 22P1D is the entry-level model sporting a TN panel in 1080p resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio for £139. The 22P1 varies this a little with an MVA panel, upping the price to £169.
Moving to the mid-range, we see a more bezel-less design on the 24P1 which houses an IPS display along with the same Full HD resolutionand 16:9 aspect ratio for £179. The X24P1 instead ups the screen ratio to a respectable 16:10 for £249, with AOC citing that this is sometimes preferred by businesses.
In the high-end range, AOC offers more screen real estate with its 27-inch monitors. Both the 27P1 and the Q27P1 come with IPS displays at a standard 16:9 aspect ratio. The two differ in resolution, with the 27P1 shipping with 1080p resolution for £259 and the flagship Q27P1 doubling down on a QHD 1440p for £309.
The entry-level 22P1D and 22P1 are expected to arrive first in May, followed by the rest of the series in June 2018.
KitGuru Says: Since these monitors are primarily designed for business use, AOC makes no mention of refresh rate which indicates that it would still be best to look at what else the manufacturer has to offer if that’s why you’re in the market for a new display. Otherwise, it seems like these new monitors are perfect for business, catering to such a wide range of needs.
