Earlier this year, AOC launched its AGON series of premium gaming monitors, aiming to take on the competition by offering high-refresh rate 2560×1440 displays. Now, the line-up has just got better, with the addition of G-Sync variable refresh rate technology and IPS panels.
The AGON AG271QG is a 2560×1440 IPS monitor featuring an ultra-fast 165Hz refresh rate, eliminating motion blur, screen tearing and display stutter with the addition of G-Sync.
You can find the general specifications for this monitor below:
- Monitor Size: 27 Inch
- Screen Format: 16:9
- Brightness: 350 cd/m2 (type)
- Contrast Ratio: 1000:1
- Dynamic Contrast Ratio: 50M:1
- Viewing Angle: 178/178
- Response time: 4 ms
- Maximum Resolution: 2560×1440@165Hz
Being an updated G-Sync monitor, this also supports HDMI output in addition to DisplayPort. The stand also has height adjustment and pivot, no swivel though which is a shame. The monitor will hit stores next month for £639.99 in the UK.
KitGuru Says: IPS gaming monitors have come a long way in the last couple of years, achieving ultra-high refresh rates and lower response times than ever before. Are any of you in the market for a new monitor? Are you thinking about going with a high refresh rate 1440p panel?
