Arctic is preparing to launch a successor to its impressive Liquid Freezer II AIO liquid CPU cooler. A leaked trailer shows the new Arctic Liquid Freezer III coolers, but the company has yet to announce them.

As seen on the trailer shared by OuKi (via TechPowerUP), the pump block has changed dramatically, featuring a unique design that looks like an aviation engine intake. In earlier versions of the Liquid Freezer coolers, the ventilation fan for the VRM area was mounted on top of the pump block. However, in the new design, the fan is located within the pump block's top vent and directs its airflow laterally. The pump seems to be positioned adjacent to this fan, which ensures better cooling efficiency.

The Liquid Freezer III is available in three different colour trims, each with four size variations. The trims are white + ARGB, black + ARGB, and black without illumination. In the ARGB and ARGB versions, the lighting is present on the pump block, with the fan vent acting as an LED diffuser, and on the fans, which seem to be the P12/14 Max. The size options for each of the three trims are 240 (240mm x 120mm), 280 (280mm x 140mm), 360 (360mm x 120mm), and 420 (420mm x 140mm).

Arctic has also improved the radiator design by extending the fin area to the frame's edges. As we wait for the product's launch, we can expect to hear more specific details regarding the cooling performance and fan specifications.

KitGuru says: Considering how well-regarded the Arctic Liquid Freezer II is, we expect good things from the Liquid Freezer III.

Gigabyte Aorus, well known for its high-end PC gaming solutions, is back with new AIO liquid coolers. The new Waterforce II and Waterforce X II CPU coolers will ship with up to 360mm radiators, along with new pump and fan designs to offer improved CPU cooling.

The DIY-friendly designs of the new Gigabyte Aorus coolers allow for effortless power and signal transmission between fans without extensive cabling. The Aorus Waterforce X II series includes the Fan EZ-Chain Mag technology, which combines a magnetic interlocking mechanism with a daisy-chain configuration. Meanwhile, the standard Aorus Waterforce II coolers feature a slide-in interlocking mechanism with a daisy-chain configuration.

The Aorus Waterforce X II and Aorus Waterforce II series come with newly designed pumps and fans, both featuring gradient lighting that can be synchronised with other devices via the Gigabyte Command Center. The software can also be used to configure the Aorus Waterforce X II series' LCD for video playback and custom text support. On the other hand, the Aorus Waterforce II series features a 330-degree-rotatable water block, providing more flexibility in installation and customisation.

The new Gigabyte Aorus Waterforce coolers are available in black with 240mm (Waterforce II and Waterforce X II) and 360mm radiators (Waterforce II and Waterforce X II). The white models (Ice) are exclusively available with 360mm radiators (Waterforce II and Waterforce X II).

Enermax introduces the LIQMAXFLO series, its first AIO CPU cooler with a VRM fan. Featuring Enermax's new Dual-Chamber Xtreme pump and the latest silent fans the company has released, the new coolers aim to deliver cool and quiet performance.

The LIQMAXFLO series has intelligent PWM on its VRM fans, radiator fans, and pump to improve cooling performance and ensure quiet operation. The series also employs Enermax's newest Silent Flow PWM fans, which operate at just 23.46 dBA. The addition of a 60mm VRM fan inside the water block increases its cooling capability by improving air circulation within the system and effectively lowering the temperatures of the CPU VRMs and surrounding components on the motherboard. Furthermore, the pump cover is magnetically attachable, allowing the logo's position to be altered by 90°. Different pump cover choices will also be available soon.

The LIQMAXFLO series is the first AIO cooler equipped with ENERMAX's Dual-Chamber Xtreme pump. This new pump delivers a stunning 8°C decrease in thermal output under a 250W load when compared to the previous generation. This improvement comes from ENERMAX's proprietary Shunt-Channel technology, a larger coolant intake, and an optimised flow design, which resulted in a 30% increase in total pump pressure and a 20% increase in coolant flow rate. In addition, the LIQMAXFLO has a 38mm-thick square-design radiator for higher coolant capacity. To ensure a longer lifetime, an extra 100ml coolant bottle is included in the box. Customers will also benefit from the 400mm robust tubing, pre-applied premium Dow Corning TC-5888 thermal grease, and clamps for both tube and cable.

The LIQMAXFLO series provides 240, 360, and 420 radiator variants. ENERMAX also launched the LIQMAXFLO SR series, an entry-level range of AIO CPU coolers with 120, 240, and 360 radiators with 27mm thickness and non-RGB fans. The LIQMAXFLO series is now available, with the SR models starting at $79.99 for the 120mm model, $89.99 for the 240mm model, and $109.99 for the 360mm model. The standard LISMAXFLO comes in at $109.99 for the 240mm variant and $129.99 for the 360mm variant. Pricing for the LIQMAXFLO 420 is still unknown.

Today we are going to take a look at the latest all-in-one liquid CPU cooler from Cooler Master – the Nepton 240M. While Cooler Master may not be the first manufacturer that comes to mind when you think of all-in-one water coolers, they are starting to build a range of different product options in this category.

With the release of the Nepton 240M, Cooler Master's all-in-one water cooler range encompasses all four of the most popular radiator sizes; 120mm, 140mm, 240mm and 280mm.  This puts it in a great position to compete with the more established players in the market, namely Corsair.

Cooler Master have adopted a different strategy to most other manufacturers who have entered the all-in-one liquid cooling market.  Rather than simply brand an off-the-shelf design from Asetek, they have created their own product which is different from the competition. Can they compete?

Today we are going to look at the latest all-in-one CPU water cooler from Cooler Master, the Eisberg Prestige 240L which competes with the latest models from the likes of Corsair and NZXT.  The Eisberg range is targeted specifically at enthusiasts and boasts a number of exciting features that differentiate it from the competition.

Cooler Master has been a little slow with the launch of the Eisberg series of all-in-one CPU coolers for as it's taken much longer than expected to get them ready for market.  In the meantime, they released their Seidon range of more mainstream liquid coolers which performed well in our tests.

Today we are going to look at the Cooler Master Seidon 240M which is the latest 240 mm liquid CPU cooler to hit the market.  We were very impressed with Cooler Master's first attempt at a liquid CPU cooler, the Seidon 120M, when we reviewed it back in January.  It offered great value for money and was one of the cheapest all-in-one models on the market.

Cooler Master has been fairly late to market with their all-in-one liquid cooling units, compared to the likes of Corsair and Antec. With the ever increasing popularity of Corsair's all-in-one models, it's not surprising that they have started releasing competing products.

In this review we will be comparing the Cooler Master Seidon 240M with the Corsair H100i, H110 and the NZXT Kraken X60.

Features

  • Factory filled with coolant, then sealed and pressure tested – requires zero maintenance for years.
  • Waterblock made with UltraFine Micro Channel enlarge the contact surface between cold plate and coolant.
  • Durable and powerful water pump – dissipates heat effectively and maintains temperatures through stable water circulation.
  • Performance 240mm radiator is designed for handling high wattage overclocked CPU.
  • Double 120mm PWM fan with a wide RPM range to fine tune and balance fan noise and performance.

When KitGuru Labs put the 240GB OCZ Agility 3 under our powerful performance microscope in 2011, we were left surprised that such performance was possible in a drive that cost less than £400. Today's latest offer from eBuyer takes OCZ's hugely impressive drive and makes it affordable for everyone. KitGuru picks up a pair of tweezers and eyes the piggy bank.

In life, it's nice to be able to use quotes.

When you're able to quote yourself, it's even better.

Given eBuyer's price move on the 240GB OCZ Agility 3, we're drawn to the conclusion we made in May 2011:-

The main bonus with the Agility 3 drives will be the price point… Coming in at under £380 inc vat when they hit retail in the UK“.

Things move on in IT.

Sometimes we need to take a step back and appreciate just how far/fast this market continues to develop.

New technology, coming later this year, will mean that even larger drives will follow. Once issues of long-term stability have also been put to rest, we can see a massive move in data centres to a faster/more reliable technology that draws a fraction of the power.

For now, the chance for a 240GB KitGuru Must Have SSD for less than £110 is an attractive proposition.

Serious capacity with a 525/500MB/sec performance classification
Serious capacity with a 525/500MB/sec performance classification. For 110 squids? Not bad.

KitGuru says: If you own a laptop with a cruddy 5,400 rpm spinning disk, then this kind of upgrade is a must. If you're contemplating building a new rig, then surely pairing a 240GB SSD with a pair of 2/3/4TB data drives is the perfect set up?

The Kingston HyperX solid state drive is  regarded as one of the best performing drives on the market, featuring the latest Sandforce SF-2281 controller.  Being an top-end drive, it has a high price tag to match which may not be affordable for some enthusiasts.

With this in mind, Kingston have released a new version of their HyperX drive, the 3K which features 3K NAND instead of the 5K NAND that features in the original HyperX SSD.  Kingston claim that the performance difference between the two drives are very small.  The change in NAND means that the new drive has less endurance and won't last as long.  But for the vast majority of users, the drive will still last a very long time.

The HyperX 3K SSD loads games and applications faster, increases frames-per-second for an improved gaming experience and allows for quick transfers and edits of large media files. It has incredible sequential read/write throughputs of 555/510MB/s and max random R/W 85,000/74,000 IOPS. HyperX 3K SSD features SandForce DuraClass™ technology to provide best in class endurance and to maximize life span and durability under the most intensive environments.

“Kingston is devoted to offering the best upgrade solution for every market segment. The new Kingston HyperX 3K SSD is specifically designed to meet the needs of budget-minded gamers, PC enthusiasts and Audio/Visual professionals looking for powerful upgrades.” said Krystian Jaroszynski European product Manager – USB, SSD & HyperX. “We are thrilled to offer a SSD that combines HyperX performance and Kingston quality at a lower price.”
