Aqua Computer has released the ULTITOP D5 DUAL, a dual pump top to house two D5's, providing improved water pressure and a fail-safe should one pump ever stop working, thus keeping your custom loop in working order.

Water cooling component specialists, Aqua Computer, has put much effort into making the ULTITOP D5 DUAL pump top as compact and quiet as possible. The company said that it has simulated the geometry of the pump housing to be able to create an optimised design that is easy to install – the easy installation is made possible thanks to two mounting options offset by 90°.

With the help of a bracket, the new dual pump top from Aqua Computer can be mounted on both 120 and 140 mm fan holes. The pump top's dampers are made out of soft silicone that minimises the vibrations that are transmitted to the case for a more quiet and stable setup.

The ULTITOP D5 DUAL is already available for a price of €79.90, meanwhile a kit containing the pump top and two D5 NEXT pumps is available for €289.

Aqua Computer has announced a new water block for the Threadripper platform. The Cuplex Kryos Next sTRX4 FC was initially set to release in 2018, but production was postponed. This meant the block was initially designed for the Threadripper 2000 series of processors, but Aqua Computer redesigned it for AMD's latest HEDT platform.

Offering a massive 51x45mm copper base, with 0.2mm microstructure spacing, “all” the components of the Cuplex Kryos Next sTRX4 FC water block are CNC-manufactured in Germany. The contact surface is nickel-plated and then polished to ensure the best possible heat transfer. Additionally, the 69mm spacing between the G1/4 threads should allow users complete freedom when it comes to choice of fittings.

This water block will be available in three models: acetal, plexiglass, and plexiglass with an integrated “Vision OLED” display. Both plexiglass models have RGBpx lighting that can be synchronised with most motherboard RGB software, including Asus Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, among others.

The acetal model has a housing made from a solid block of acetal. The standard plexiglass model is made of plexiglass GS and uses a black anodised aluminium frame surrounding the plexiglass block. The plexiglass model with an integrated Vision display is very similar to the standard plexiglass model, with the addition of an integrated temperature sensor and a USB connector for the OLED display.

The plexiglass and acetal models of the Cuplex Kryos Next sTRX4 FC water block are available now, priced at €109.90 and €79.90, respectively. The plexiglass model with the Vision display and RGB lighting will be available at a later date, priced at €139.90. You can learn more about these water blocks on Aqua Computer's official webstore.

Aqua Computer has just launched a new CPU water block with RGB lighting. The new Cuplex Kryos Next RGBpx water block is designed to provide a unique look for your system, even before the ARGB lighting has been turned on.

Available in both plexiglass and white Delrin, the Cuplex Kryos Next RGBpx comes with CNC-milled casing on top of an anodised aluminium frame. The block's mounting points are placed within this frame, which according to Aqua Computer, means the mounting “force is applied evenly to the housing”, thus reducing the stress on the housing itself. The distance between the G1/4 holes is 25.5mm, allowing for the use of ‘extra large' fittings.

To ensure good cooling performance with low flow resistance, Aqua Computer uses a “microstructure floor with FEM-optimized deformation”. The mounting system uses the Flush Mount System, hiding the springs under the mounting bracket and giving the water block a sleeker look.

There will be mounting brackets for Intel's LGA 115x, 1200 and AMD's AM4 and TR4 sockets. The RGB lighting can be synchronised via the RGBpx controller. Besides the mounting kit, the package also includes a thermal paste spreading tool, Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut thermal paste and a 50cm long RGBpx connection cable.

The nickel-plated copper base Cuplex Kryos Next RGBpx CPU water block is available now for €84.89, while the sterling silver plate is priced at €199.90. You can learn more and buy this water block HERE.

Aqua Computer is expanding its extensive portfolio of reservoirs with the new Ultitube D5. This reservoir was designed to be easily paired with other D5 pumps, such as the D5 Next and D5 PWM, to benefit from the advantages of using the Ultitop D5 pump housing.

As shared by Sven on Aqua Computer's forum, the Ultitube D5 is made of “high strength borosilicate glass” with a thickness of 5mm, commonly used in laboratory material. This makes it resistant to both chemicals and temperature oscillations, with no concerns for the material being negatively affected. These reservoirs will be available in 100, 150 and 200mm lengths, and with a diameter of 65mm.

Unlike most other reservoirs, the Ultitube D5 uses aluminium rings bonded with borosilicate glass. These “threaded flanges” don't make contact with the water and exist in a dry area. They are only used to press the tube to the sealing surfaces. There's also a filter on the bottom of the reservoir to avoid filling the reservoir with air, and moulded seals “plugged into the tube” to prevent accidents like the seal falling when removing the lead.

Additionally, the mounting plates that come included with Ultitube D5 means it can be mounted to a variety of locations in your case, including the side wall, the bottom, or even on a radiator with an additional bracket. The Pro version of the Ultitube D5 comes with an RGBpx ring that can be connected to a D5 Next pump, with the cable that comes included.

The Aqua Computer Ultitube D5 reservoir will be available next week, starting at €69.90. There will also be bundles of Ultitube D5 reservoirs paired with either a D5 Next pump or a D5 PWM pump. If you are interested in other Aqua Computer products, click HERE.

Aqua Computer has announced a new 8-channel controller for PWM fans, called OCTO. Following QUADRO, the company's 4-channel fan controller, OCTO was designed to have more fan channels and lightning effects.

Measuring in smaller than a credit card (76x48x15mm), the OCTO, named after the 8 fan outputs it boasts, also has 2 RGBpx channels to connect Aqua Computer's RGBpx LED products or other of the compatible LED products from third-party manufacturers. Each of these 2 RGBpx channels can handle up to 90 LEDs.

Additionally, OCTO features a signal output to connect the controller to a power button or a motherboard, and a flow connector and four temperature channels for monitoring. If users want to connect the controller to Aqua Computer's aquaero 5/6, there's also an aquabus output included.

The OCTO is connected to the motherboard through USB and configured through Aqua Computer's software, aquasuite. Although the controller doesn't need aquasuite to work, it's a requirement to exchange temperature values between the controller and the motherboard.

On the outside, the housing is made of anodised aluminum with a rubber surround. To mount the controller, the rubber band and the aluminum panel have to be removed. Below the panel, the controller's board comes with a 2.5-inch standard hole spacing that can be attached to a 2.5-inch bay or put on the top/bottom of an SSD.

Each of the eight channels can be switched off and deliver up to 25W, up to a total maximum of 100W due to the power limitation from the PSU's cables. Each channel also has overload protection, preventing damage to the fans.

If you want to know more about the OCTO, you can check the Aqua Computer forum post HERE.

The D5 pump has long been the standard for custom water cooling enthusiasts but this year, Aqua Computer is hoping to improve on the traditional design with the D5 NEXT, offering a wider range of functions.

The D5 NEXT is based on the tried and true Laing D5 pump, but Aqua Computer has divided it into two parts, a motor unit and an electronics unit, which can be plugged together. This will simplify assembly and help with maintenance in the long term. A special decoupling system has been put into place too, which will make installation easier and help dampen any vibration noise. You can see a breakdown of the D5 NEXT and its features in the video below:

As you can see, there is a temperature sensor built in, and the included display will show you liquid temperature and pump speed. The maximum pressure for the D5 NEXT is measured at approximatively 370 mbar, performance can be adjusted and regulated to the user's liking via a controller.

Controls are handled via USB and the Aquasuite software, which carries over from other Aqua Computer products.  The D5 NEXT comes with its own fan controller capable of providing up to 25W of power, pump fans can be set up to automatically ramp up and down based on water temperature readings. The pump itself is able to determine flow rate using Aqua Computer's own ‘virtual flow' algorithm, which runs calculations based on motor data. An additional sensor can be connected for more accurate measurements, but virtual flow should get the job done.

Now it wouldn't be a modern piece of hardware without the inclusion of RGB lighting. The D5 NEXT comes with an RGB LED strip on the bottom but up to 64 individually controllable LEDs can be connected, which can then be used to visualise CPU load, speeds, temperatures, flow rate or other important stats. Alternatively, the pump's connected LEDs can be used to mimic whatever is currently displayed on the monitor, offering ambient lighting based on the content on screen.

The D5 Next will be hitting the market this month, with a suggested retail price of €119.00.

KitGuru Says: Suddenly, my standard D5 pump doesn't seem quite as nice! Are any of you currently planning a custom watercooling upgrade? What do you think of the D5 NEXT?

AMD’s Radeon R9 295X2 graphics card is among the fastest graphics solutions that money can buy nowadays. It features extreme performance and has high overclocking potential thanks to hybrid cooling solution. But what if you just want more? An ultimate graphics card that would wed extreme performance and utter quiet operation. It looks like there is a solution just for you.

Aqua Computer, a maker of liquid cooling solutions from Germany, on Tuesday introduced the world’s first full-cover water-block for AMD Radeon R9 295 X2 graphics card. The kryographics Vesuvius water-block is designed for custom-built liquid-cooled systems and is aimed at experienced enthusiasts who are seeking either additional performance from AMD’s dual-chip graphics board, want to reduce then noise of the model R9 295 X2 compared to the reference cooler, or both.

The kryographics Vesuvius water-block is entirely made in Germany and milled from 2.72kg high-purity electrolytic copper raw material, according to the press release published by TechPowerUp. The water-block covers two graphics processors, GDDR5 memory, voltage regulators and PCI Express bridge chips, the components that heat a lot during operation.

All areas are covered by the flow path of the cooling liquid to ensure efficient cooling of all components. To ensure maximum cooling performance of GPUs, both AMD Radeon “Hawaii” chips are covered by a micro structure with 0.5mm grid. The water flows through both structures in parallel which allows an even temperature for both GPUs. To achieve this effect the cooling structures use a different depth which makes sure that the same amount of water flows through both of them.

Like the base, the Plexiglas cover is also milled from a solid block. To avoid the risk of cracks Aqua Computer uses casted Plexiglas and does not drill any threads inside the cover. The cover is held in place by a stainless steel frame which ensures evenly distributed pressure.

For comfortable installation, the kryographics Vesuvius water-block comes with preassembled distance pieces so the screws can be tightened as far as they will go to achieve an optimal contact pressure. The block can be used with regular G1/4″ fittings and the connection terminal offers threads into both directions. The regular connection terminal can be also exchanged with the optional kryoconnect adapter which can be used for multi-GPU CrossFireX setups.
