Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is the first game from legendary studio Rocksteady since the release of Batman: Arkham Knight almost 9 years ago. Unfortunately, it seems as though the live-service multiplayer-focused title has failed to capture the hearts of fans, as just a few weeks removed from the game’s launch, more people are playing the single-player-only Arkham Knight over Suicide Squad.

Thanks to the existence of Steam charts, it is incredibly simple to figure out a game’s popularity and compare it to other titles on the platform. In going to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s page, it can be seen that in the past 24 hours the live-service game had peaked at 4,885 players – a rather paltry figure considering its multiplayer-focused nature.

This is even more so the case when looking at Rocksteady’s previous game for comparison. Despite being a single player experience released all the way back in 2015, Batman Arkham Knight has in the past 24 hours had more players than the newly released Suicide Squad – seeing a 24 hour peak concurrent of 5,011 players.

Again, it is worth stressing the fact that not only is Arkham Knight a 9 year old game, but it is a single-player only experience – making the comparison to Suicide Squad even more embarrassing.

Of course, we are not privy to player counts for PlayStation and Xbox systems, and so it is entirely possible that the game is doing significantly better on the home consoles. That said, the fact that Arkham Knight is currently more popular than the week-old Suicide Squad on Steam is somewhat telling.

While the Nintendo Switch was getting more up-to-date third-party game releases for a time, in recent years that has slowed down to remasters and re-releases of older titles. The Batman Arkham Trilogy is the latest to land on Switch but unfortunately, the release is a mixed bag riddled with performance issues.

If you are looking to take your Batman: Arkham adventure on the go with you, then the Nintendo Switch version is a natural choice. However, unlike impressive releases like DOOM and The Witcher 3, the Batman Arkham games, particularly Arkham Knight, are riddled with performance issues that hamper the overall experience.

The console tech geniuses at Digital Foundry have analysed the Batman Arkham games on Switch, finding troubling issues throughout. Following the collection's release last week, DF has had time to analyse performance, finding that the game frequently drops down to 20 to 25 frames per second while exploring, and beyond that, there are frame pacing issues too. These intermittent spikes in frame delivery can cause further issues for video games. Frame times are tied directly to control responsiveness, so in a high-octane action game like the Batman Arkham trilogy, having smooth frame times is particularly imperative.

While the original games, Arkham Asylum and Arkham CIty are more playable, performance issues become much more apparent in Arkham Knight. If you were hoping to play through all three games on the Nintendo Switch, it might be worth waiting for some patches to address performance issues.

Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru Says: While Arkham Asylum and Arkham City should run at more acceptable levels, we already know from past experience that Arkham Knight can present issues. The original PC release of the game was a disaster too. Hopefully after some patches, all three games will be in a more playable state.

The Arkham series of Batman games offered what is widely regarded as some of the most high quality comic book video games. While waiting for Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad, fans can rpelay the old titles. Unfortunately, on Xbox the latest game, Arkham Knight only runs at 900p. This may soon change.

As discovered by Twisted Voxel, in an announcement on its blog, Microsoft detailed an update coming to the Xbox Store. Whether intentionally or not, in a screenshot showcasing this update, a thumbnail for Batman: Arkham Knight featured on the image claiming the game to be Xbox Series X|S enhanced.

Currently, this is not the case. When the game first released in 2015, Batman: Arkham Knight ran at just 900p and 30fps on the Xbox One. The game never received an Xbox One X enhancement either, meaning that even on the Series X, the game still runs at 900p.

If this screenshot is to be believed however, it is possible that Batman: Arkham Knight will get an update for the Series X|S, potentially offering the game at higher framerates and/or increased resolutions.

The Arkham series have always been technical showpieces, and despite releasing almost 6 years ago, Batman: Arkham Knight still looks great when outputting at higher resolutions on PC. It would be great to see the Series X|S (and PS5) get an enhanced version of the game which fans could play while waiting for both Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad.

It looks like the Arkham Knight PC saga is finally over, though it looks like the game was too broken to get all of the features it promised working properly. While Arkham Knight has been available to buy on Steam once again for a few weeks now, we were still expecting one last patch for multi-GPU support, unfortunately, it looks like it won't ever be coming.

The game runs okay at this point on single cards but Warner has also been promising an SLI/CrossFire fix since it began outlining its patches over the summer. However, according to one of the developers over at WB, the team just didn't want to risk it anymore.

Batman-Arkham-Knight-release-date-delayed-why

Answering a question on the Steam Forum, a WB developer account said: “We’ve been working with our development and graphics driver partners over the last few months to investigate utilizing multi-GPU support within Batman: Arkham Knight. The result was that even the best case estimates for performance improvements turned out to be relatively small given the high risk of creating new issues for all players.”

Since the gains were minimal, likely due to deeper issues with the game and the way it was created from the beginning, the team stopped pursuing multi-GPU support in-case it caused any more issues, just after finally getting the game working to an acceptable standard.

Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru Says: Unfortunately, due to the lack of CrossFire or SLI support, it seems playing this game at 4K/60fps will be out of reach with the current crop of high-end GPUs. Are any of you running a multi-GPU set up? I was an SLI user myself until quite recently.

It almost feels at this point that Batman: Arkham Knight on the PC is never going to be ‘fixed' to the standard that it was supposed to be released at earlier this year. Not only was it suspended from sale and everyone involved in the more successful console versions brought back to fix up the shoddy PC port, but following its re-release it's still got a number of issues. Perhaps seeing the writing on the wall, Warner has now announced everyone can have a refund if they want it.

This is a refund though that goes beyond the usual two week, two hour restrictions placed on Steam games. Warner is offering a refund to anyone who ordered or pre-ordered Batman: Arkham Knight on PC, regardless of how long they've played it for and they can do so throughout the rest of the year too.

That should be comforting to those that expect it to be purchased for them for Christmas by a well-meaning relative.

“We are very sorry that many our customers continue to be unhappy with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. We worked hard to get the game to live up to the standard you deserve, but understand that many of you are still experiencing issues,” reads the announcement post on the Steam forums (via Kotaku).

It also goes on to say that for those that don't receive a refund – like all the people who didn't buy the game through Steam – that the developers will continue to discuss ongoing efforts to fix the game and perhaps more worryingly, the issues that it says “we cannot fix.”

Perhaps that it more the reason that near-indefinate refunds are being offered, in-case anyone buys it in the future and feels the need to be refunded for their ill-choice.

KitGuru Says: This is perhaps worse than any of the news that's gone before. It was a poor show to deliver such a shoddy port in the first place, but to wait five months only to tell people that there are problems with the game that cannot be fixed feels pretty unsavoury. PC players deserve better.

Batman Arkham Knight officially re-launched on the PC yesterday after four months of patching and extra development time over at Warner Bros. However, it would seem that some players are still running in to problems with the game, with complaints landing on Steam and Reddit. It would seem that some are still having frame rate stability, stuttering and crashing issues.

Warner Bros is aware that some problems remain with the PC version of the game. Those on Windows 7 may experience a hard drive paging issue after extended gameplay sessions, while it is recommended that those on Windows 10 have at least 12GB of RAM in order to operate without hard drive paging issues, which causes frame rate stutter.

2015-06-23_00001-e1435060210789

While it was initially believed that the final patch would include a final round of fixes, including SLI and CrossFire support, it has now been revealed that this is still being worked on, though we don't have a time frame just yet. Warner Bros is also working with AMD and Nvidia to address stability issues with the game with the latest batch of drivers.

From my own personal experience with the re-launched version of the game, things seem much improved. However, I am running a very high end rig with a 5820K, 16GB RAM and a GTX 980Ti. I'm not sure what the experience is like for those with other hardware configurations

Warner Bros is finally putting Batman: Arkham Knight back on sale on the PC this week, after a good four months of re-working the game and making it run as well as people expected it to at launch. The game's return will be accompanied by one last performance patch, which will add in multi-GPU support and fix a few left over bits, though the bulk of optimizations arrived in September's patch.

WB Games announced that Arkham Knight would be going back on sale this week, it also said the PC version would be brought up to date with the console versions as far as DLC goes- which means PC players will have DLC ready to buy, there has been no confirmation on any form of free DLC for PC users that faced issues.

2015-06-23_00001-e1435060210789

In a post on the Steam forums, WB said: “We want to give particular thanks to the members of the PC community who took the time to give us clear, detailed feedback and bug reporting”.

So if you have been waiting to finally grab Arkham Knight on the PC, you finally can this week on the 28th of October. The game should now finally run as well as one would hope, with no 30 frames per second cap and a decent enough level of optimization.

KitGuru Says: Arkham Knight was torn apart by PC players at launch but now four months later, things seem to have improved a lot. I finally have a level of performance I consider to be acceptable on my own personal rig, though unfortunately I just can't stand the batmobile. Will any of you be picking up Batman now that it is all fixed up? Are you going to hold off until it's on sale now? You can probably find it pretty cheap on the web at this point.

Warner Bros has finally got performance of the PC version of Arkham Knight up to an acceptable standard, though we are still waiting on one final patch. To go along with that, the publisher has also announced the final batch of DLC for the game's season pass, it's mostly just skins and AR challenges, so don't get too excited about it.

Batman Arkham Knight launched with a £33 season pass, the first DLC for the game to launch was centred around Batgirl, though it failed to garner much praise from critics.

BAK

Now those still waiting on more will get acess to some additional challenge modes, skins from Batman movies, including The Dark Knight and Batman VS Superman. You can switch out the look of the Batmobile and there will be two short story content packs called ‘The Arkham Episodes'.

One Arkham Episode will feature missions centred around Catwoman, and another centred around Robin. There is also something called ‘The Most Wanted' expansion, which includes Killer Croc, Mister Freeze, Mad Hatter and Ra's al Ghul, though we don't know exactly what will be included in this expansion.

KitGuru Says: It is rare for a season pass to actually be worth the money and unfortunately, it doesn't look like Arkham Knight is going to change that.

Warner Bros is almost set to launch the final patch-fix for the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight this month and once it hits, the game will finally go back on sale on Steam, if anyone left actually wants to buy it following all of the initial problems. The new updates will arrive some time towards the end of October, we also have the patch notes for the final update.

Warner Bros hasn't just been working on fixes for the game though, it has also been working on DLC, because you know, priorities. All of the DLC that is already available on the console versions of the game will also launch on the PC alongside the game going back on sale. There is no word on a discount for PC gamers following the months of extra waiting.

An interim patch for the game was released a few weeks ago, which greatly improved the options menu but didn't fix everything. This new patch will bring in some final performance updates and add in support for multiple graphics cards from both Nvidia and AMD.

Batman-Arkham-Knight-release-date-delayed-why

Warner Bros didn't make a big announcement out of this, so it could easily be missed. The tidbit of information was buried in an announcement for new skin DLC for the game on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. At the end of the press release Warner Bros noted: “The PC version of the game will be available in the coming weeks.”

We examined the Arkham Knight PC port back when it first launched. We will be revisiting it once the final patch comes out to see if the game is running as well as it should be after a few extra months of development.

Yesterday, we got a brief look at the upcoming Arkham Knight PC patch. Described as the interim patch, setting the stage for the last wave of fixes to hit later on in the year. Now, that patch is officially available, adding in several fixes, mostly focussing on graphics and gameplay options.

For starters, frame rates above 30 are now officially supported and the rest of the graphics options menu is more fleshed out, with more options for motion blur, higher texture quality amongst other improvements.

208650_screenshots_2015-09-02_00001-e1441285808863

Here are the list of things improved in this new patch:

  • Reduced frame-rate hitches.
  • Optimisations for system memory and VRAM usage.
  • Improved performance on all GPUs (requires the latest drivers).
  • More comprehensive in-game settings.
  • Fixed low resolution texture bugs.
  • Fixed hitches when running on mechanical hard drives (HDD).

The next patch will include some more fixes:

  • Adding support for SLI and Crossfire.
  • Adding support for the latest DLC and Season Pass content.
  • Adding support for additional updates such as Photo Mode.
  • Continued improvements and bug fixing for a Windows 7 specific memory issue that occurs on configurations with 8GB of system RAM and some Nvidia GPUs during extended game play.
  • Continued improvements for Windows 10 specific issues on systems with some AMD GPUs.

The game itself remains unavailable for sale but it looks like now, the game might finally be playable for many. We will be revisiting Arkham Knight ourselves once the final patch is out to see if the game is finally up to scratch.

PC gamers weren't impressed when Batman: Arkham Knight launched on the PC a few months ago. Warner Bros  has been pretty quiet on the subject in recent weeks but it looks like the next patch for Arkham Knight is set to feature some pretty important fixes.

The new patch for Arkham Knight is expected to release some time in September. However, for some reason, the patch was accidentally released early last night, giving us a look at the changes coming ahead of time. The most important of which is a much improved options menu.

208650_screenshots_2015-09-02_00001

Those who did get the patch before it was pulled had mixed reports. Some reported much improved performance, while others were still experiencing hitching issues. One thing everyone seemed to agree on though, is that the options menu itself is a lot better.

It is important to remember that this patch isn't finished yet, hence why it was swiftly pulled. Additionally, September's patch is set to be the ‘interim patch', before all of the final fixes come later on in the year, likely some time in October.

Warner Bros has been pretty quiet in the weeks following the launch of Arkham Knight on the PC. Last we heard, the publisher was due to push out an'interim patch' for PC gamers at some point in August, which would then be followed by a bigger patch that would help cut out the remaining issues with the game.

However, August is coming to an end and it seems Warner Bros has fallen a bit behind schedule. The company finally issued an update on the PC version of Arkham Knight today, detailing what would be in the ‘interim patch' for the PC and when it would actually arrive.

Batman-Arkham-Knight-release-date-delayed-why1

Here are the patch notes:

  • Reduced frame rate hitches
  • Optimized system memory and VRAM usage
  • Improved performance on all GPUs (requires the latest drivers)
  • Min Spec AMD GPU is once again the Radeon HD 7870 2GB
  • More Robust In-Game Settings, including:
  • Added the ability to change settings for Max FPS to 30/60/90
  • Added toggles for Motion Blur, Chromatic Aberration, and Film Grain
  • Added a “High” Texture Resolution value
  • Added Texture Filtering option
  • Added an Adaptive V-Sync option (NVIDIA only)
  • Added VRAM Usage Meter
  • Added Mouse Sensitivity Slider & Mouse Smoothing Option
  • Fixed low resolution texture bugs
  • Fixed hitches when running on mechanical hard drives (HDD)

So from the sounds of it, the interim patch should hopefully help quite a lot. However, it is still just the interim patch, hopefully the final patch from Warner Bros won't be too far behind, particularly after this slight delay.

KitGuru Says: Warner Bros has been working quietly on fixing Arkham Knight for around two months now. Hopefully this interim patch will allow more people to play the game without so many issues.

If you are on the PC and still waiting for the game to be fixed before you play Batman: Arkham Knight then we have some news for you. Warner Bros has revealed that it is hoping to release the next patch for the game some time in August, the down side is that this won't be the final fix but rather, an ‘interim' patch.

The patch will target some issues currently affecting PC users in an effort to make the game a bit more playable, though exact details are currently unknown as the patch has yet to be finalized. This comes just a few days after an internal Warner Bros email leaked, suggesting that the game would not be up to scratch until September at the earliest.

Batman-Arkham-Knight-release-date-delayed-why

“As an update, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Rocksteady and our partners are targeting an interim patch update for existing players to be released in August. This update will address many of the issues we listed in our June 27 update”, the Warner Bros update said.

“We will provide additional details as we finalise that interim patch over the coming weeks. We would like to thank you for your continued patience and invaluable feedback. We are continuing to monitor and listen for any additional issues and are driving towards a full update for everyone as quickly as we possibly can.”

KitGuru Says: While some claim to have not run in to any issues with Arkham Knight on the PC, there are still plenty of widespread problems with the game, which are well documented throughout the internet. If you have been waiting to play the game on the PC then it looks like Warner Bros is looking at September for the final fix.

Earlier this month Batman Arkham Knight launched on the PC and just one day later, was taken off of store shelves due to the issues and massive backlash the game faced for having a sub-par PC port.

Now Warner Bros, the small team at Iron Galaxy and a few of Rocksteady's own engineers are taking the PC version back to the drawing board and making sure it actually meets standards before going back up on sale. Unfortunately, all of that takes time, so we won't be seeing the game back up on Steam until the Fall, and that's at the earliest, it is possible that the game may take even longer to fix.

Arkham-Knight-Batman-600x30011

Now not everyone claims to have had such an awful experience with the game on the PC (although I think a few of them are lying to themselves), but due to the amount of attention the re-release of the PC version needs, all DLC has been delayed for the platform.

In the announcement post from Warner Bros, the publisher took the time to once again, apologize for the mess it has created: “Again, we would like to apologize to you, the fans, and let you know that we are taking full responsibility for releasing a product that did not meet our quality standards, which is why we suspended sales of the game as soon as we understood the issues.”

KitGuru Says: If you are one of the few people who have been able to play Arkham Knight on the PC, then you are going to have to wait for the DLC. For those of you that have the game sitting in your Steam library waiting for updates, you likely won't be playing the game in a satisfactory state for another couple of months.

It was already pretty obvious that something went very wrong over at Warner Bros leading up to the PC release of Batman: Arkham Knight but now some sources have come out to provide some additional inside details in to the troubled development of the game's PC port.

You can't buy Arkham Knight on the PC right now and for good reason, the game launched with a lot of problems and it turns out that Warner Bros may have known about them all way ahead of launch. Speaking with Kotaku, sources from within the various teams involved in the development and testing of Arkham Knight have come out to say that “it’s pretty rich for WB to act like they had no idea the game was in such a horrible state”. The source, who worked on quality assurance for the game also said: “It’s been like this for months and all the problems we see now were the exact same, unchanged, almost a year ago.”

Batman-Arkham-Knight1-600x300

So bugs were being reported for quite a while ahead of the game's launch and it seems we also now know why Rocksteady had practically no hand in the PC version of the game. Kotaku's sources said that over the course of development, Rocksteady ran in to complications developing for the new consoles, just getting the game to run was proving a challenge.

Out of the a team of 100 people, around 10 percent of them were tasked with finding bugs in the PC version of the game. On top of that, Warner Bros had QA testers running the game at 720p, well below the 1080p standard PC gamers have grown accustomed to.

“We reported literally thousands of bugs that were specific to the PC version relating to the frame rate. All sorts of fucked up texture issues. The Batmobile in particular has always fucked things up on PC”, one of the sources said.

Due to Rocksteady's complications with the console versions of the game, PC development was handed off to Iron Galaxy Studios, Warner Bros did not want to hire a more reputable PC Port studio as it was worried about plot leaks. Unfortunately, development was slow all around so bugs were being reported faster than the game was being finished. Unfortunately, it seems like once the console versions were finally polished up, Warner pushed the game out of the gate, disregarding the glaring issues with the PC version of the game.

You can read Kotaku's full report, HERE. We would recommend it as it is a very interesting read.

KitGuru Says: Kotaku's sources were anonymous but they do have a pretty good track record with these things. From what these sources have said, it seems that Warner Bros simply just didn't care enough about the PC version to give it the proper attention it needed before release. Obviously it changed its mind pretty quick after launch day…

Rocksteady has finally got its act together and is working closely with the team over at Iron Galaxy Studios in order to get the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight up to scratch after its initial release fell flat and had to be pulled from Steam entirely.

The first patch for the game comes in at 67MB and brings some important fixes to the mix, such as allowing motion blur to be disabled in the .ini file, allowing users to verify their game files in Steam without having to re-download the whole game and fixing up a bug that disabled rain and ambient occlusion effects that are present in the console versions of the game.

Arkham-Knight-Batman-600x3001

Obviously all of that is just step one. Rocksteady does have a full list of fixes that it is working on right now on its forums. These fixes include removing the ridiculous 30 frames per second cap on the game and improving performance above 30fps while eliminating the hitching and stuttering.

SLI will be fixed eventually and Crossfire will be enabled for AMD users. When we tested the game ourselves we observed GPU memory usage as high as 5.5GB at 1080p, this is also being addressed. You can see the whole post, HERE.

KitGuru Says: It took a few days but it looks like Rocksteady is finally on the case with Arkham Knight on the PC. Hopefully the team can keep the patches rolling and have everything fixed up fairly quickly, although it could take some time depending on how bad the issues really are behind the scenes.

The final game in the Batman Arkham series had a very disappointing launch this week. Many have criticised the PC port, including myself and thousands of users on Steam. While Rocksteady has offered some questionable advice to PC users, it looks like Warner Bros is now in damage control mode, having suspended sales of Arkham Knight on Steam.

The game won't be back up for sale until it is good and ready, the season pass has also been pulled for the time being. Warner Bros made the announcement a couple of hours ago, saying: “We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards.”

Batman-Arkham-Knight-release-date-delayed-why

The post even goes as far as to encourage that unsatisfied users apply for a Steam refund, which has likely happened a fair amount already. We don't have any figures on Steam refund rates but I'm sure quite a few people would be interested in seeing those numbers.

There is no timeline on how long it will take to fix Arkham Knight but I imagine Warner Bros is putting a fair amount of resources in to it in order to get it back on sale. Hopefully when the game comes back it will have better graphical options menu, much better optimisation and no 30 frames per second cap.

Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru Says: Obviously Warner Bros did the right thing in this situation by stopping sales of its broken game. However, it would have been better if this whole thing was avoided entirely and the port was made properly in the first place.  Will you try Arkham Knight again once it is fixed properly? Or will you be taking your refund and not looking back?

Earlier today we discussed the poor state of Batman: Arkham Knight on the PC. Now we are starting to get a clearer picture of where things went wrong on the development side as Rocksteady has revealed that it used an “external PC development partner” to make the PC version of the game. Not only did Rocksteady not have a hand in the PC version but development was outsourced to a small studio made up of just twelve people.

The twelve people credited for working on the PC version of Arkham Knight work for Iron Galaxy Studios, a lesser known developer that has primarily developed for the last generation consoles and iOS. This is the team that worked on Destiny for the PS3, the PS Vita version of Borderlands 2 and helped out in the development of Batman: Arkham Origins, which also suffered heavily on the PC at launch.

11390062_10153057185473635_8109886400545156472_n

Now obviously someone at either Rocksteady or Warner Bros made a huge mistake outsourcing the PC version of Arkham Knight. The team that worked on the PC port was made up of just 12 people and the studio definitely does not have a background in PC development judging by their list of projects.

As far as we know, the previous Arkham titles from Rocksteady were actually developed by Rocksteady for the PC. Unfortunately though, this time things went quite wrong and its the PC gamers that are suffering for it.

You can see our analysis of the Arkham Knight PC port, HERE.

KitGuru Says: As a PC gamer and long time fan of the Arkham series, I am hugely disappointed in how Arkham Knight has turned out. However, there are still a lot of unanswered questions. Why was PC development outsourced? Worse yet, why was it outsourced to a studio that specializes in console development? And finally, whose bright idea was this anyway? Could Rocksteady not handle the workload? Or was it Warner Bros decision? Hopefully answers will be made a little clearer over the next few weeks.

Batman Arkham Knight isn’t due out until the end of June but Rocksteady is giving us plenty of time to prepare our rigs as the PC system requirements have been officially revealed. The requirements were revealed by Nvidia, so AMD GPU requirements are not included but we can make some educated guesses to fill in the gaps.

For minimum requirements, you will want an Intel Core i5 750 or an AMD Phenom II X4 965 CPU, 6GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 660. The official AMD equivalent is not listed but an R7 260X or an R9 270 should do the trick.

Batman-Arkham-Knight

The recommended system requirements also pack a punch. Users will want an Intel Core i7 3770 or an AMD FX-8350 CPU, 8GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 760 GPU. Once again, the official AMD equivalent is not listed but the R9 280 seems like a safe bet judging by its compared performance.

Now there is a step beyond the recommended requirements. However, the only difference between recommended and ultra is the GPU, with Nvidia promoting the GTX 980 as the top GPU for this game. Obviously AMD’s equivalent would be the R9 290x in this instance as the company has not yet released new graphics cards to better compete with the GTX 900 series.

KitGuru Says: Batman Arkham Knight is set to be the most graphically impressive and intensive game in the series. The recommended specifications are fairly high, particularly where the CPU is concerned but chances are, if you’ve built a PC in the last couple of years, you will be able to run the game.

Amazon has the exclusive rights to sell the limited edition versions of Batman Arkham Knight for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game will release on the 2nd of June, following a lengthy delay from October last year.

The limited edition version also contains a steel book case, an artbook, exclusive comic, a Batman statue and some new character skins- which have been featured in past games in the Arkham series.

Batman Arkham Knight, Rocksteady's highly anticipated conclusion to the Arkham series, has been delayed, again. The title was originally slated to come out this October for the PC, Xbox One and PS4, it was later pushed back and listed for a February 2015 release by several retail outlets, including Steam.

The game has been shown off at trade shows and members of the press have had the opportunity to play the game, these little chunks of gameplay seemed polished and near complete but that doesn't seem to be the case for the whole game as Rocksteady has had to ask for more time. Fortunately, Warner Bros is willing to co-operate and support the developer in making this game the best it can be.

It turns out that Rocksteady's finale to its Batman Arkham series won't be coming out this October as it has been delayed until 2015 alongside a few other highly anticipated next generation titles that were due out this year. Like other developers, Rocksteady needs more time to make the best game possible, which isn't a bad thing.

Rocksteady's Dax Ginn, explained: “Now Batman: Arkham Knight is totally awesome, the thing about awesome, though, is awesome takes time. And totally awesome takes a lot of time. So in collaboration with our colleagues at Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics, we have decided to extend the development time of Batman: Arkham Knight. Now, the very simple reason for doing this is to ensure we are delivering the awesome level of quality that Batman fans and gamers expect from this, the final episode and the epic conclusion to the Rocksteady Arkham trilogy. The Dark Knight will face his ultimate challenge in Batman: Arkham Knight now to be released in 2015.”

Earlier this year, Fall 2014 looked incredibly promising with its huge lineup of games including The Witcher 3, Batman Akrham Knight and The Division. However, all of those titles have been pushed back until next year and the list of big games for early console adopters has shrunk even further.

All of that aside though, Batman Arkham Knight should still be a great game when it does finally arrive and this set back will hopefully give Rocksteady the time it needs to perfect its final Batman game.

KitGuru Says: I was really looking forward to Batman Arkham Knight so hearing of its delay is a little disappointing. Hopefully all of these delays pay off though, Watch Dogs still retained its hype leading up to its release but many buyers ended up feeling disappointed with the final product, it would be a shame to see that happen to next year's big releases. Are you guys disappointed by this delay? Do you have any ideas as to why so many games are being delayed at the moment?

Rocksteady always surprises us with a few villain appearances but we do know that Two-Face, Penguin, Harley Quinn, Scarecrow and the Akrham Knight will be a part of the game. The new engine looks amazing, it's clear as to why this game will be skipping last generation consoles. The trailer is labelled as a gameplay trailer but that's not entirely accurate, while it does give a good cut scene or graphical representation, it doesn't actually show any real gameplay.

KitGuru Says: This trailer has boosted my excitement for the game, the Arkham series has been awesome so far so I don't doubt that Rocksteady will give its trilogy a good send off with the final game. Are you guys looking forward to Arkham Knight? Or are you not a fan of Rocksteady's Batman games?
