In just a few short days, Ubisoft will be going live with its autumn edition of ‘Ubisoft Forward’ – a video game showcase where the publisher will give fans a deeper look into some previously announced games, as well as potential reveals for as-of-yet unknown titles. Ahead of this stream on the 10th of September, Ubisoft has now offered details on which games fans can expect to see shown off.

Releasing a teaser trailer on YouTube ahead of their ‘Ubisoft Forward’ showcase (which will go live on the 10th of September at 8pm UK time), the publisher teased some of the games which fans can expect to see at the event, saying:

“Ubisoft Forward will bring you updates on upcoming games like Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope and Skull and Bones, as well as a special Assassin's Creed showcase offering a peek at the future of the franchise.”

That is not all however, as some of Ubisoft’s more prolific live-service titles will also make an appearance, with the publisher teasing that “You can also expect some news on the latest seasons, characters, and content from your favorite live games, like Brawlhalla, For Honor, The Crew 2, Anno 1800, The Division 2, Ubisoft+ and more.”

We already know that the Assassin’s Creed game set to make an appearance at the showcase is ‘Assassin’s Creed Mirage’. While the game was officially announced by Ubisoft last week via Twitter, it is safe to assume that this only occurred due to the litany of leaks which sprung up prior, forcing the publisher’s hand into announcing the game ahead of their showcase.

While it is unfortunate that AC Mirage leaked, it will be interesting nonetheless to get an official look at the game when the Ubisoft Forward steam goes live on the 10th.

Today at CES, Leo and Briony stopped by to check out all of the new gear coming from Deepcool and Gamerstorm, including all new cases, all-in-one liquid coolers and the return of the Assassin air cooler, which is absolutely massive.

First up we have the new Gamerstorm all-in-one liquid coolers. We previously saw the Captain and Castle at Computex but they are returning today, complete with RGB for the fans and CPU block. The Castle is a 360mm AIO with a rather large CPU block, meanwhile the Captain Pro is a 240mm AIO, with a smaller CPU block and a clear tube running into it so that you can see the coolant flowing through.

Next up is a brand new Deepcool case known as the ‘MACUBE 550', which isn't really shaped like a cube, but still appears to be quite nice. There is a black and white version, with the former costing $109.99 and the latter sitting at $119.99. Both are planned to be available in June this year, complete with dual-drive supporting caddies, a magnetic tempered glass side panel etc. We will hopefully be reviewing this later in the year, so stay tuned for more on that.

The Matrexx 55 is a revision of the budget $65 case, which now comes with added RGB fans. While the case itself is cheap, it still supports a solid list of features, including E-ATX motherboards, a tempered glass side/front panel, support for up to 360mm radiators in the front and up to a 280mm radiator in the top.

Deepcool is also coming out with new accessories, including new MF120S RGB fans, a vertical GPU mounting bracket and even an RGB GPU support bracket for horizontal graphics cards. We've seen similar products before, with the basic idea being that one of these will keep your GPU straight and eliminate any sagging.

Finally the Deepcool Assassin III is a new, dual-heatsink air cooler that can tame CPUs up to 280 watts in power draw. It is truly massive and honestly looks a lot like two separate air coolers mashed together. There are three fans included but unfortunately, this cooler is currently reserved for Intel sockets, with no present plans to produce a Threadripper version.

In terms of performance, we saw this cooler on top of a Core i9-9900K running at 5GHz. If you look closely at the video above, you'll be able to see the temperature readings under load. Right now, we are expecting this cooler to launch in May, with a price tag of $100, making it one of the more expensive air coolers on the market.

KitGuru Says: We have plenty more CES coverage left to get through so stay tuned for more announcements and unveilings straight from the show floor.

It might have been almost a year since Rockstar released GTA V with its multiplayer mayhem simulator, GTA Online, but even though it's had plenty of DLC to keep things fresh, the oft-promised cooperative heists still have yet to make it into the game. Assassin's Creed Unity on the other hand, will ship with cooperative heist missions right out of the box and today we have our first footage of one in action, along with some developer commentary.

Your assassin character in this AC game might be good at murdering people, but all that sneaking around has made him a damn good thief too, which is why the heist missions will give you the chance to put your hands on some valuable artifacts, in this case, treasure stolen by the Templars from the Notre Dame cathedral.

However as different as the mission parameters might be, the outcome is somewhat typical of an AC title. You sneak around, you kill unsuspecting guards and you make your way out after completing your objective, all while trying not to be seen. On top of that, the only real cooperative element appears to be letting your fellow Assassin do some of the murdering for you. There is a suggestion of using your partner's vantage point to aide in your vision of an area, but it's not explained very well.

‘Quick, use your bat… eagle vision'

The only caveat there is that guards are somewhat randomised, so when you repeat the missions – and you'll be encouraged to, to level up your character – you might have to change your tactics slightly, but in this video, all we see is a smoke grenade being thrown and a couple of sync kills.

KitGuru Says: That “warning you're entering/leaving a restricted area” feels like it's murdering the immersion of the game far better than any Assassin.
