The Steam Autumn Sale has officially kicked off, running up to the 28th of November. If you have some Steam credit to use up, or want to pick up a few new games, then now is a great time to do exactly that. We've rounded up some of our favourite games currently discounted.

On the indie side, some incredibly cheap games are available that will supply you with many hours of entertainment. Vampire Survivors is one of my favourite indie games in recent years – it was already cheap but you can now get 25% off, bringing the price down to £2.99. If you're looking for a similar game with a bit of a different flavour, then Halls of Torment and Soulstone Survivors are well worth a look.

Heretic's Fork is a recent game that combines tower defence and deckbuilding elements to create a very addictive gameplay loop, and it can be picked up for £6.79. Naturally, all four of these games also work very well on a Steam Deck if you've picked one up.

Honey I Joined a Cult is one of my favourite indie management/building sims. You take on the role of a cult leader, building out your compound, recruiting new members and assigning them to tasks to help grow your influence. You'll need to manage things carefully though, as your cult can garner too much heat, leading to protests and eventual intervention. It sounds like a dark premise, but like Prison Architect, the game uses a cartoon style and has plenty of humour thrown in for a light-hearted approach.

If you've finished up with Baldur's Gate 3 and are looking to try some other CRPGs, then Obsidian's Tyranny offers a unique approach putting players in the shoes of a villain looking to conquer and take over the entire continent. If you are someone who doesn't always gel with the classic RPG formula, then this one may very well change your mind.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a bit more hardcore, so it is really only recommended to established fans of the genre with some experience in other titles. If that sounds like you, then the game is now 70% off.

If you've finished up Cyberpunk 2077 and are craving more Cyberpunk goodness, then The Ascent is a good pick-up at £7.49. This is a story-focused twin-stick shooter set in a dark Cyberpunk world with RPG elements. It handles its setting incredibly well and tells an overall darker story.

Moving on to AAA titles, there are plenty of shooters currently on sale. Battlefield 2042 had a bad start but has had a resurgence in recent months thanks to many updates. At £7.99, it is a low risk, high reward pick-up. Rainbow Six Siege can be found for £6.79 for a smaller-scale competitive shooter. If you never had the opportunity to play Titanfall 2‘s excellent campaign, then you can't go wrong here for £3.74.

Monster Hunter fans can now grab the latest game in the series, Monster Hunter Rise, for just £13.19, or if you'd prefer to return to Monster Hunter World, then the Iceborne expansion is now 50% off.

The Last of Us finally came to PC earlier this year and while the game launched with a number of problems on PC, leading to a mixed overall rating on Steam, it has improved quite a bit through patches. If you've been holding off on picking it up, then it is now 33% off, bringing the price down to £33.49.

In a similar vein, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor also launched with PC performance issues but Respawn has improved things considerably, with a major update in recent months delivering further optimisation improvements. Now, the game can be picked up for £35.99. If your PC is up to the task of running the game, it is well worth picking up as it tells one of my favourite Star Wars stories since the KOTOR days.

Dying Light 2 regularly hits 50% off during Steam sales and that deal is back once again.

If you are after a new souls-like style game, then two of my favourites are now discounted. The relatively recent Remnant II is now 30% off and offers a great co-op experience but with more of a focus on ranged combat over melee. For a melee-focused experience, Nioh 2: Complete Edition gets a solid recommendation from me, although it may still be a tad expensive at £29.99 considering that the game is almost three years old. Still, both of these titles offer a good spin on the Souls-like formula and I would actually recommend both to people who typically don't play Souls titles.

KitGuru Says: These are just some recommendations from games I've played over the past year. We'd love to hear your recommendations too, so feel free to share!

If you've been looking to try out Diablo 4, or want to get some friends involved, then this is a good week to make it happen. From now until the 28th of November, Diablo 4 is free to play on Steam.

Blizzard already held free play days recently on other platforms like Battle.net and consoles. Now with the game's arrival on Steam, the most popular PC gaming platform, Blizzard is launching another free week.

You'll get full access to the game and better yet, this week Blizzard has also enabled a limited time XP and gold boost, so you can quickly scale up a new character and test out some different builds.

If you do decide to pick up the game after some time playing for free, then you can pick it up at a 40% discount, bringing the price down to £35.99 on Steam during the Autumn Sale, which went live today.

Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru Says: Will you be checking out Diablo 4 during its free week? The game had a mixed reception at launch for its multiplayer elements but at the very least, you can make your way through the excellent campaign. I also think it is worth noting that the game's second season has gone over much better with the community compared to the first season, with vastly more interesting content, with more to come in December thanks to the Abatoir of Zir limited time event.

It is that time of the year again – the Steam Autumn Sale is officially live, offering discounts on hundreds of games spanning every genre you could ask for. If you need some help deciding on a game to pick up, we've got a few recommendations for you.

For starters, the definitive version of Persona 5 Royal is now on Steam and if you didn't pick it up at launch last month, you can now get it for 30% off, bringing the price down to £34.99. If you didn't pick up Spider-Man Remastered when the excellent PC port arrived in September,  you can now get it for 25% off, bringing the price down to £37.49. Cyberpunk 2077 is in much better shape now compared to launch and CD Projekt Red is cooking up an expansion for next year, so if you want to jump in and play the base game before then, you can get it for 50% off, bringing the price down to £24.99.

Monster Hunter Rise isn't a standout title in terms of graphics, but the gameplay is perhaps the best that the franchise has to offer. The PC version of Monster Hunter Rise offers very solid performance, and you can now get it for 50% off, bringing the price down to £16.49.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon released a couple of years ago at this point, refreshing the franchise with new gameplay and combat systems,  as well as a new cast of characters, making it a perfect jumping-on point for newcomers to the series. This is my personal favourite Yakuza game, so it gets a high recommendation for its under £20 sale price.

These are just a few recommendations. While technically not on sale, you should also check out a few recent indie games – Honey, I Joined a Cult is a fun game taking on the Prison Architect formula, but the twist this time around is starting a grassroots cult. Vampire Survivors is an incredibly addictive game and at only £3.99, it is a steal even without a sale discount. Fortunately, during the Autumn Sale, there is a 15% discount, bringing the price down to £3.39.

KitGuru Says: Are you planning on picking anything up during the Steam sales? Are there any games you would like to recommend?

Earlier this week, we saw Black Friday deals go live on the Epic Games Store and now, Valve has launched its Steam Autumn sale. Until next Wednesday, you'll find discounts across a huge range of titles on Steam, including some new releases. Beyond that, Valve has also opened up nominations for this year's Steam Awards, so you can vote for your favourite games across multiple categories.

For starters, Guardians of the Galaxy, which released just one month ago, is already 35% off on Steam, bringing the price down to £32.49. One of this year's best remasters, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, is just over 40% off, bringing the price down to £31.89. Amazon's newly released MMO, New World, is 25% off, bringing the price down to £26.24. One of this year's best games so far, Deathloop, is 50% off, bringing the price down to £24.99. Tales of Arise launched to a tremendously positive reception on Steam and for the Autumn Sale, it is 25% off, bringing the price down to £37.49.

You'll also find good deals on older games, so if you've yet to add Horizon Zero Dawn, Red Dead Redemption 2 or Cyberpunk 2077 to your library, then you can find all three for 50% off. Another excellent oldie-but-goodie is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which can be had for just £12.94.

There are also some great indies to keep an eye on during the sales, including Valheim, which is 20% off, Outer Wilds, which is 40% off, Inscryption, which is 20% off and Satisfactory, which is 30% off.

You can find all of the Steam Autumn Sale discounts, HERE. While your browsing, you can also vote in this year's Steam Awards, with categories including Game of the Year, VR Game of the Year, Labor of Love, Better with Friends, Outstanding Visual Style, Best Game You Suck At and more.

KitGuru Says: The Steam Autumn Sale is looking pretty solid this year with some good discounts across the board. Will you be picking anything up during the sale?

The Steam Summer Sale has come and gone but as we enter the final months of the year, there will be three additional sales coming our way. This week, the dates for the Steam Halloween Sale, Autumn Sale and Winter Sale have leaked, so it is time to get that wishlist populated and prepare your wallet.

The final sales of the year are all taking place in close proximity this year. The Halloween Sale will take place from the 28th of October to the 1st of November, while the Autumn Sale will start on the 26th of November and end on the 3rd of December. Just a few weeks later, the Winter Sale will kick off on the 19th of December and end on the 2nd of January.

The dates this time around were supplied by SteamDB. Valve gives all registered publishers and developers on Steam a heads up on sale dates so that they can set discounts in advance themselves. As a result, Steam Sale dates have leaked for several years now.

We don't know what Valve might have planned on the event side though. For the Steam Summer Sale, we had a ‘Grand Prix' event, which awarded free games, Steam credit and other goodies for taking part. That event had some issues, so hopefully there is a better plan in place for the new upcoming sales.

KitGuru Says: There will be plenty of Steam Sales coming up over the next couple of months. Are there any games you'll be keeping an eye on?

Last night, Valve kicked off its Steam Autumn Sale and so far, there are some excellent deals to be had on many PC games. There are even a few surprisingly high discounts for recently released titles, like Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and Middle Earth: Shadow of War.

For starters, Bethesda's recently launched shooter, Wolfenstein II, is down to just £19.99 thanks to a 50 percent off discount. Meanwhile, The Evil Within II is also down to £19.99. If slaying Orcs is what you are after, then Middle Earth: Shadow of War is 40 percent off, sitting at £26.99.

Ubisoft received plenty of criticism for its original Watch Dogs release, but the sequel, Watch Dogs 2, was one of my favorite games of 2016. It improves over the original in many ways, if you haven't had the chance to try it yet, then it is 66 percent off on Steam right now, going for £16.99. At that price, it is thoroughly worth it.

If for some reason you haven't played The Witcher 3 yet, then the Game of the Year Edition is currently 60 percent off, going for £13.99. This includes the long base game as well as two expansions, Hearts of Stone/Blood and Wine.

If you just want to sit back and have some mindless fun, then Just Cause 3 is currently less than a fiver. Sniper Elite 4 is going for £13.49. My final recommendation on this list is Nier Automata, Platinum's 2017 masterpiece is game of the year material for many and at 40% off/£23.99, it seems like a no-brainer. Do be sure to have a controller handy though.

The Steam Autumn Sale is currently live, HERE.

KitGuru Says: I already own most of the games I've been after this year, but I did pick up Fable on sale for nostalgia's sake. Is there anything you guys are planning on grabbing on sale? Have you picked up a new game already?
