The post Sharkoon Light² 180 Mouse Review first appeared on KitGuru.]]>
It's been a while since we last reviewed a product from Sharkoon, but that changes today with our look at the Light2 180. Following in the footsteps of the successful Light200 we reviewed last year, the Light180 offers a symmetrical shape reminiscent of the Zowie S2, in a package that weighs just 63g. It is also very competitively priced at £35 here in the UK, making it well worth closer inspection…

Aside from the obvious difference in the shape, the Sharkoon Light180 is pretty similar to the Light200 on paper. It offers the same swappable top shell, giving users a choice of a solid or perforated panel, while the RGB implementation appears to be consistent across both mice too. Unlike the Light2 200 though, the Light180 comes equipped with PixArt's PMW 3360 optical sensor, offering a maximum DPI of 12000.

The post Xtrfy M4 RGB Mouse Review first appeared on KitGuru.]]>
We are back with yet another ultra-lightweight gaming mouse review. After Finalmouse kickstarted this new industry trend back in 2018, we have seen a wave of lightweight mice from the likes of Glorious, Endgame Gear, Cooler Master and more. Today we assess Xtrfy's offering, in the shape of the M4 RGB. Featuring an ergonomic shape, PMW 3389 sensor and ‘EZcord' cable – for under £50 – is this the best ultra-lightweight mouse we have reviewed so far?

On top of the shape and sensor, the Xtrfy M4 also sports RGB lighting which can be controlled directly from the mouse itself, negating the need for software. Additionally, the M4 is available in five different colours – black, white, blue, pink, and ‘retro'. We have a photo of all five colours side by side on the next page if you are interested.

Specifications:

 • Shape: Ergonomic, patent pending
 • Sensor: Optical Pixart 3389
 • LED illumination: Adjustable RGB
 • Weight: 69 g (excluding cable)
 • Main switches: Omron 20M(OF)
 • Cable: 1.8 m Xtrfy EZcord
 • Glides: PTFE

 • IPS: 400
 • Max acceleration: 50 G

In 2007 the original Roccat Kone mouse was released as Roccats's first ever product. 10 years later we take a look at the Roccat Kone AIMO which features the AIMO intelligent lighting system, 12000dpi owl-eye optical sensor and tri-button thumb zone. The Roccat Kone is available in 3 different colours – black, grey and white – but is it worth the £69.99 asking price?

We tested the Roccat Kone AIMO alongside the Roccat Kanga mousemat which is available for £7.99 and the Roccat Taito XXL desk sized mousemat which available for £24.99.

Roccat Kanga mousemat specifications:

Kitguru says: The Roccat Kanga & Taito XXL mousemats both performed well but the Roccat Kone AIMO is the star of the show. We think it is a beautiful mouse with excellent performance. The large size and weight won't be for everyone but we think it is well worth the investment.

Standing out in the peripheral sector is a difficult thing to achieve. You can add a super sensitive sensor, adjustable weights, a silicon shell, an array of buttons, complex back end software – and gamers are likely to roll their eyes unless you give it all away at a price with zero margin. Gamdias opted to try something a little different with its HADES Extension Laser gaming mouse – opting for a hard plastic shell and magnetically attached finger grips.

Despite featuring ergonomic finger rests, the HADES Extension laser mouse is ambidextrous – that is a rare combination.

The modern gaming mouse market is a diverse one, from ambidextrous, cut back and clean looking mice, to those festooned with buttons, bells whistles to look like something created in a future space race. Today we review one that looks like it was lifted straight from the latest Tron movie. The Logitech G502 Proteus Core ships with a high rated sensor (12,000 dpi) and a ton of buttons and a scroll wheel that seems to never stop spinning once you get it going.

Is this conducive to gaming? Probably, but we wouldn't be much of a review site if we took the marketing at face value now would we?
