With many gamers having finished Destiny 2's base campaign and had their fill of the end game content already, it is time to look towards the first expansion. Bungie is set to release The Curse of Osiris in early December and this week, the studio began detailing what content would be arriving.

The Curse of Osiris will kick off with a series of new story missions, while also adding a new planet for you to visit- Mercury. But once you've conquered that and geared up, there will be new challenges to face.

Destiny 2's first expansion will bring back the Heroic Strike playlist, allowing you to take on strikes at higher difficulties for better rewards. The expansion will also add more to the Cabal Leviathan ship, which is where Destiny 2's first raid takes place. We aren't getting an entirely new raid, but you will get to play through a different section of the Cabal's massive warship, facing new encounters and bosses. A third area of the Leviathan will be unlocked in expansion 2, coming in early 2018.

Finally, The Curse of Osiris expansion will also raise the ‘power level' cap to 330, giving you a reason to go out and collect new gear. The expansion arrives on the 5th of December.

KitGuru Says: I've been making my way through the Destiny 2 campaign very slowly so far but I'm hoping to be max level by the time this expansion lands. Are any of you still playing Destiny 2? Will you be hopping back in for expansion 1?

If you’ve been grinding away at Destiny 2 since its launch on consoles in September, or even PC last week, then you might be wondering when Bungie’s next big content drop will be landing. Today at Paris Games Week, Sony had the chance to show off the first Destiny 2 DLC trailer, which is titled ‘Curse of Osiris’ and lands on the 5th of December.

We saw leaks for Curse of Osiris back in August, before Destiny 2 had properly launched. According to the leaks, this DLC will focus on Osiris, an exiled Warlock, with the main enemy being the Vex. This is confirmed by the trailer, which you can see below:

The official description for the trailer says that “The Vex are on the march, and our only hope to stop them may lie with Osiris, the notorious heretic and most powerful Warlock in the history of the Last City”.

This DLC promises to bring us face to face with new characters, places and challenges. The latest expansion will also increase the level cap, allowing guardians to reach level 25 and boost their ‘Power Level' for gear from 300 to 330. Destiny 2: The Curse of Osiris launches on the 5th of December, presumably across all platforms.

KitGuru Says: I had the chance to put a small amount of time into Destiny 2 over the weekend and so far, I’m really liking the campaign. Bungie has certainly stepped its story-telling up a notch, so hopefully this will continue with new expansions. Are any of you currently playing Destiny 2? Will you be hopping back in for December’s DLC?

Throughout Destiny's lifespan, the game has repeatedly had details leak, whether it surrounded its initial troubled development, or upcoming DLC. Now, it seems that leaks won't be becoming a thing of the past with Destiny 2, as a report this week has given us some early details about the sequel's first planned DLC.

If you didn't get the hint, spoilers will follow. If you don't want to know anything about future Destiny 2 content, then you should probably skip this article.

As with most Destiny leaks, this report comes from Kotaku, whose sources said that the first Destiny 2 DLC will be called ‘The Curse of Osiris'. This DLC will focus on you rescuing Osiris, an exiled Warlock who spends his time studying ‘the darkness'. You will be trying to keep Osiris out of the hands of the Vex. Osiris was mentioned in the original Destiny but he was a vague character, it seems this DLC will expand the lore and introduce him properly.

The Curse of Osiris will launch three months after Destiny 2's initial release date on the 6th of September. That's for consoles anyway, there was no mention of the PC release date, which could be different given that the game won't be landing on the platform until the 24th of October.

With Destiny 2, Bungie will be reattempting its original DLC release schedule for Destiny 1. The idea is to release a new DLC drop every three months. This time around though, Bungie has some extra help to ensure these content drops are more substantial. After all, we don't need to see a repeat of The Dark Below, which was thoroughly disappointing to fans of Destiny 1.

KitGuru Says: A lot of people were burned on Destiny 1 but I stuck with it and it went on to become one of my favourite games. I have high hopes for Destiny 2, the swift release schedule worries me somewhat but if Bungie can handle it, then I'll happily tag along for the ride.
