Gigabyte has recently filed various RTX 4060 Ti and Radeon RX 7600 SKUs to the EEC database, hinting at the launch of the next-gen mid-range GPUs. However, it's important to keep in mind that not all SKUs that are filed end up being released.

Looking at the listings found by @harukaze5719, the new Radeon RX 7600 comes in two variants: Gigabyte Radeon RX 7600 8GB Gaming (GV-R76GAMING-8GD) and Gigabyte Radeon RX 7600 8GB Gaming OC (GV-R76GAMING OC-8GD). This contradicts the notes found on the pull request on AMD ROCm software GitHub, which showed the Radeon RX 7600 XT, but no standard, non-XT model.

On the other hand, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti has nine models, including AORUS Extreme, AERO, Eagle, Gaming and WindForce series cards. Based on the number of models alone, it seems Gigabyte is focusing more on the RTX 4060 Ti cards, as it has four times as many SKUs as Radeon. The new lineup is also expected to introduce dual-fan GPUs, previously absent from the Gigabyte RTX 40 and Radeon RX 7000 series lineups.

According to the latest rumours, the Radeon RX 7600 is set to launch on May 25th, while the RTX 4060 Ti has yet to be given a specific launch date (set to release by the end of May), but it's expected to be released in late May. Both cards will likely be displayed at Computex 2023, which is right around the corner.

KitGuru says: With AMD and Nvidia expected to release new mid-range graphics cards by the end of the month, this segment will finally get some attention.

With the RTX 4080 coming in just a few days, Gigabyte has announced its range of graphics cards. The lineup will be divided into three segments: the Aorus Xtreme Waterforce series for those looking for water-cooled solutions, the high-end Aorus Master series for best-in-class air cooling, and the Gaming, Eagle and Aero as the mainstream cards for gamers and creators.

The Waterforce series is all about water-cooled GPUs, as the name suggests. If you want to buy an RTX 4080 and add it to a custom loop, the Xtreme Waterforce WB will fit right in. If you wish to have a water-cooled GPU but don't have time or expertise to build a custom loop, the Xtreme Waterforce comes with an AIO liquid cooler featuring a 360mm radiator and three 120mm double ball-bearing fans.

Moving on to the air-cooled solutions, we have the Aorus Master cooled by the Windforce cooling system, using three bionic shark fans, multiple heat pipes, enlarged screen cooling and a vapour chamber in direct contact with the chip. This card also includes customisable RGB Halo ring lights around the fans and an LCD Edge View display that can be configured to show custom images, text, GIFs, or GPU metrics.

Finally, we have the Gigabyte RTX 4080 Eagle, Gaming and Aero graphics cards. The Eagle is Gigabyte's entry-level GPU with a simple shroud, triple-fan design and customisable RGB lighting. Then, there's the Gaming OC card, which looks much like an upgraded Eagle version with RGB Halo lights, and a more elaborately designed shroud. Lastly, the Aero card keeps its minimalistic design with an all-white shroud and customisable RGB lighting.

It looks like Gigabyte is getting ready for the RTX 4090 launch. New listings on the EEC database point to eleven Gigabyte RTX 4090 models, including Aorus, Windforce, Gaming and Eagle versions.

The EEC listings found by @harukaze5719 suggest Gigabyte will launch five RTX 4090 Aorus graphics cards, from which three will likely be air cooled. The other two are water-cooled, one featuring an AIO and the other with a water block. Moreover, each of the Gaming, Eagle and Windforce 3x series will have two models.

The full list of Gigabyte RTX 4090 graphics cards can be found below:

  • Gigabyte RTX 4090 Aorus Xtreme Waterforce (GV-N4090AORUSX W-24GD)
  • Gigabyte RTX 4090 Aorus Xtreme Waterblock (GV-N4090AORUSX WB-24GD)
  • Gigabyte RTX 4090 Aorus Xtreme (GV-N4090AORUS X-24GD)
  • Gigabyte RTX 4090 Aorus Master (GV-N4090AORUS M-24GD)
  • Gigabyte RTX 4090 Aorus Elite (GV-N4090AORUS E-24GD)
  • Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC (GV-N4090GAMING OC-24GD)
  • Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming (GV-N4090GAMING-24GD)

Rumours surrounding the Radeon RX 6600 have existed for quite a while, but AMD has yet to announce it. While there was some doubt that such a SKU exists, a new leak showcasing a Gigabyte Eagle RX 6600 suggests it is indeed coming.

Through sources, VideoCardz was able to obtain renders of the upcoming Gigabyte Radeon RX 6600 Eagle card. Although similar to the RX 6600 XT Eagle, there are a few differences worth noting. For example, the PCB layout and the heatsink look different, and the card seems smaller, but aesthetically it's basically the same. Moreover, the renders also show the card will be powered by a single 8-pin power connector.

Following Galax's announcement, Gigabyte is now the second AiB partner introducing its new RTX 30 series cards with LHR chips. Expect more manufacturers to join Gigabyte and Galax in the coming days and weeks.

The new cards were initially spotted by @momomo_us, who also shared links of the rev 2.0 of the Aorus RTX 3060 Elite, the RTX 3060 Gaming OC, the RTX 3060 Vision OC, the RTX 3060 Eagle, and the RTX 3060 Eagle OC.

If you look at the listed features in any of the product pages of the aforementioned cards, you'll notice that they are listed as “LHR (Lite Hash Rate) version.” Although it's not specified, the LHR versions are the new RTX 30 series cards featuring Nvidia's latest anti-mining technology.

The specifications of the LHR and non-LHR seem to be the same, except for the GPU. Instead of featuring the GA106-300 GPU used in the non-LHR graphics, the rev 2.0 cards should feature the GA106-302 GPU.

Although there are already AiB partners introducing LHR cards, Nvidia hasn't officially announced them yet.

KitGuru says: If you were to buy a new RTX 30 series graphics cards, would you avoid buying an LHR version?

After Nvidia officially unveiled RTX 3060 yesterday, many AIB partners have since announced their custom-cooled GeForce RTX 3060 graphics cards. While we can expect more models to trickle through over the next few days, we've already seen quite a variety of RTX 3060 cards announced from the likes of MSI, Zotac, Gigabyte, and more that we will cover here.

Zotac Twin Edge (OC) and AMP White Edition series

The Zotac RTX 3060 AMP White Edition features RGB lighting and an all-white theme, including the fans, shroud, and backplate. Being 232mm long, the Zotac RTX 3060 AMP White Edition should fit in most systems of today. Featuring Freeze Fan Stop and Active Fan control, this card is equipped with a 90mm fan and a 100mm fan (11 blades each), 5x 6mm heat pipes, and a “wide aluminium fin-stack array heatsink” to handle the cooling process of the GPU. The GPU core comes factory overclocked, boosting up to 1837MHz.

The Zotac Twin Edge (OC) is slightly shorter than the AMP White Edition, measuring 224mm long. The cooling solution is also cut back slightly, featuring 3x 6mm heat pipes and 2x 90mm fans. The non-OC variant comes with stock clocks (boosting up to 1777MHz), but the OC version comes slightly overclocked, featuring a boost clock of 1807MHz.

MSI Gaming, Ventus, and Aero ITX series

MSI seems to be the manufacturer presenting the most RTX 3060 SKUs, including the single-fan Aero ITX card, dual-fan Ventus and Gaming cards, and triple-fan Ventus and Gaming cards. All Gaming cards feature RGB lighting and are equipped with Torx 4.0 fans, but while Trio cards feature Tri Frozr 2 cooling solution, the non-Trio feature the Twin Frozr 8 cooling system. While core clocks haven't been detailed yet, the “X” models should come with higher clocks than the “non-X” SKUs.

The Ventus cards are equipped with Torx 3.0 fans, a brushed finish backplate, and feature solid aesthetics that will fit within most builds. Both dual-fan and triple-fan Ventus cards will feature a factory overclocked (OC) version and a non-OC version running at stock speeds.

Being the smallest of the bunch thanks to its single-fan cooling solution, the Aero ITX card is perfect for SFF systems. It's not clear if there will be an OC version, but we expect that the non-OC will run at stock clocks.

Inno3D Twin 2x (OC) and iChill X3 Red series

Inno3D's initial RTX 3060 lineup includes the Twin 2x (OC) series, featuring a backplate for added protection and dual-fan design (90mm fans) that cools the heatsink connected to the GPU by 4x heat pipes. The non-OC Twin 2x card is stock clocked, but the OC variant boosts up to 1792MHz.

Inno3D is also launching the iChill X3 Red series, equipped with a triple-fan cooling solution (90mm fans) and a shroud highlighted by red LEDs. The heatsink is connected to the GPU by 6x copper heat pipes for increased heat dissipation, especially useful for this card given its factory overclock of up to 1837MHz.

Colorful Ultra W OC, Advanced OC, and NB series

The Colorful iGame RTX 3060 Ultra W OC comes with a white triple-fan cooling solution and a white backplate that will fit into any white-themed build. The Ultra W OC's heatsink has 2x 6mm heat pipes and 2x 8mm heat pipes “connected to the fins using integrated reflow soldering”, combined with 2x 90mm fans and an 80mm fan at the centre.

The Colorful iGame RTX 3060 Advanced OC also features a triple-fan cooling solution, but with a black, dark grey, and red theme. The premium shroud comes with a metallic finish that highlights the “Light Frozen” lighting effect coming from the “Energy Core” lighting around the middle fan. The heatsink features 4x 8mm heat pipes.

The last Colorful card is the RTX 3060 NB, which features a similar cooling solution to the Ultra W OC, with 2x 6mm heat pipes, 2x 8mm heat pipes, 2x 90mm fans, and an 80mm fan at the centre, but with a half black/half red shroud. The metal backplate gives extra protection to the card while also increasing the card's passive cooling capabilities.

Gigabyte Gaming, Eagle, and Vision series

Featuring the triple-fan Windforce 3x cooling solution with alternate fan spinning to optimise airflow, the Gigabyte Gaming cards use composite copper heat pipes, backplate, and screen cooling to keep the GPU temperatures controlled.  With RGB Fusion 2.0 support, users can synchronise the card's RGB lighting with other compatible devices.

The Gigabyte Eagle uses a two-fan design, each fan measuring 100mm. There will be an OC and a non-OC variant of this card, meaning that the OC variant will come factory overclocked to offer better performance out-of-the-box. The Gigabyte Eagle cards feature RGB lighting that users can configure with RGB Fusion 2.0 or synchronise with other compatible devices.

Gigabyte RTX 3060 Vision cards come with a unique “elegant silver and white” theme, staying away from the most common black and grey coloured graphics cards. Suitable for white-themed PCs, the Vision cards feature a triple-fan design similar to the one used on the Gaming cards, ensuring stable operation and high-performance of the GPU.

ASUS Strix, TUF, and Dual series

ASUS' top of the line RTX 3060 is the Strix model, available in OC and non-OC models. This uses a triple-fan cooler, with a stylish-looking shroud, and 2.7-slot cooler. It also sports dual-BIOS capabilities, as well as a metal backplate.

As for the TUF card, this is also a triple-fan cooler and appears to use the same all-aluminium shroud as other TUF cards we have reviewed this generation.

Lastly, there's the smaller Dual card, which is a simpler design with two fans, and it also appears to be ‘just' a dual-slot thickness. ASUS is yet to release confirmed clock speeds for its RTX 3060 SKUs.

PNY XLR8 Gaming Revel and Uprising series

Both the PNY RTX 3060 XLR8 Gaming Revel and Uprising features dual-fan, dual-slot design with a relatively small footprint. The Uprising card is rather simple with a black shroud and black metal pass-through backplate, while the XLR8 Gaming card features PNY's Epic-X RGB lighting system around the card. According to PNY, both cards boost up to an impressive 1852MHz core clock, but the memory appears to be clocked below stock settings, at 14Gbps.

EVGA XC and XC Black series

Featuring a dual-fan cooling solution and a dual-slot design, the EVGA XC and XC Black are compact graphics cards with short PCBs and 0db fan mode preventing the fan from spinning when the GPU is at low temperatures. Thanks to their reduced size, these cards can easily fit in any build, including SFF PCs. The all-metal backplate gives additional protection and passive cooling to the card, preventing it from bending while also providing some extra heat dissipation.

Nvidia hasn't officially announced an RTX 3060Ti graphics card yet but board partners already have plenty of them. This week, images of the Gigabyte Eagle RTX 3060Ti leaked onto the web, meanwhile one retailer appears to have already sold one of these unannounced graphics cards.

Rumoured to release on December 2nd, the Nvidia RTX 3060Ti SKU is expected to feature the GA104 GPU with 4864 CUDA cores, 38 RT cores, 152 Tensor cores, and 8GB of GDDR6 memory at 14Gbps across a 256-bit memory bus.

The images shared by VideoCardz shows us the Gigabyte RTX 3060Ti Eagle OC, featuring a dual-slot design and two fans. As per these images, the card features a rather small PCB based on the placing of the single 8-pin power connector. Given that a single 8-pin delivers up to 150W, and the PCIe interface up to 75W, TDP has to be equal or below 225W. Clock speeds have not been disclosed at this time.

Soon after the images were leaked, @harukaze5719 claimed that a retailer in Saudi Arabia was selling Gigabyte RTX 3060Ti cards already. The listings on the retailer showed what seemed to be the RTX 3080/3090 cards, but SV Comp posted another image and video of the cards that look to be the same as the images leaked by VideoCardz.

The two Gigabyte cards being sold were priced at 3699 Saudi Riyal (£760) and at 3799 Saudi Riyal (£780). The product listings on the retailer's website have since been taken down.

It looks like the announcement of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is right around the corner. Gigabyte has added 4 new graphics card at Eurasian Economic Commission database using Nvidia's unannounced GeForce RTX 3060 Ti SKU.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is expected to release soon after the RTX 3070. The RTX 3060 Ti will supposedly feature the Ampere GA104 GPU with 4864 CUDA cores (1024 less than the RTX 3070), paired with 8GB of GDDR6 (non-X) memory and a 256-bit memory bus. Memory should come clocked at 14Gbps, just like the RTX 3070, delivering a bandwidth of up to 448GBps. TDP should be around the 180W mark.

The 4 graphics cards listed by Gigabyte at EEC (via @KOMACHI_ENSAKA) are the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB Aorus Master (GV-N306TAORUS M-8GD), the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB Gaming OC (GV-N306TGAMING OC-8GD), the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB Eagle OC (GV-N306TEAGLE OC-8GD), and the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB Eagle (GV-N306TEAGLE-8GD).

As per the naming of the upcoming Gigabyte graphics cards and expected TDP, the cooling solution of these RTX 3060 Ti cards should be similar, if not equal, to the ones used in the Gigabyte RTX 3070 Gaming and Eagle cards.

Some retailers have already started to list these cards, as noted by @momomo_us. If there's something to be taken from the placeholder name, it is that the embargo of these cards should end by the first half of October. The price should also be a placeholder. We should know more about the RTX 3060 Ti during October.

As listed in the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission), Gigabyte is getting ready to launch a new series of graphics cards, called Eagle. It's not certain whether this series will replace an existing one or if it's just an addition to Gigabyte's current graphics cards portfolio, but, according to the listing, it will have 30 models.

Initially noted by Twitter user @KOMACHI_ENSAKAthis listing, as shown in the image below, includes both AMD and Nvidia GPUs, containing most of the currently produced GPUs from each company, except from the Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti. The “surprise” here is the Radeon RX 5600 XT, a rumoured upcoming model from AMD. This listing also confirms that the Radeon RX 5600 XT will be paired with 6GB of VRAM, most likely GDDR6.

The RX 5600 XT is expected to fill in the gap between the RX 5500 XT and the RX 5700, creating an equivalent to the Nvidia Geforce 1660/Ti, as per VideoCardz.

It's worth noting that this probably won't be the only RX 5600 XT model from Gigabyte as they have other series of graphics cards, like the Gaming and Aorus lineups.

All of the models of the Eagle series will include an OC and a non-OC version. It's expected that more news on any as-yet unannounced GPUs will come at CES in January 2020.

In an effort to combat the problem of drones flying into airspace that they shouldn't, Metropolitan police may be set to use a tactic from the Netherlands, where eagles have been trained to target the quad-copters. It's thought that such birds could be used to help protect landmarks or major events from drone attacks or accidents.

Footage recently appeared online of Dutch police forces training eagles to think of the drones as prey, which saw them fly to and easily manhandle the relatively slow moving and lightweight targets. They could then be carried to a safe location before being captured by police forces.

Although there hasn't been much word on the eagles being successful with this technique when an actual treat is detected, it has British police interested. A Met Police spokesman said (via the BBC): “As would be expected in an organisation that is transforming, we take an interest in all innovative new ideas and will of course be looking at the work of the Dutch police use of eagles.”

As drones come down in price and the technology behind them improves, there's been calls from a number of authorities around the world to find a way to effectively tackle their usage. Some are concerned that encroaching on airports or other busy airspaces could lead to an accident. Others are worried about their usage by terrorists, or criminals dropping packages into jails.

Other attempts to take down drones have involved attaching nets to even bigger drones, like a modern Retiarius.

Even though it was just a few weeks ago that we reviewed the latest Action Camera from iSaw, the company has already put out a new firmware update, upgrading its features, fixing a few problems and improving power saving to keep it working for longer.

One of the biggest feature additions was the creation of what iSaw calls Video Loop, which means that when you're running low on storage space with the camera, it'll continue to record, but will begin overwriting the oldest footage stored on it. This would be useful for those situations where you absolutely have to keep recording and it's worth it even if you lose something you've already filmed. You will however need at least 10 per cent space for it to work.

High frames per second (60) HD video quality has been improved. Users had noticed there was a slight drop in quality when recording at higher resolutions, that has now been corrected. There's also now a feature that can allow for the camera to start recording after a set period of time – zero, five seconds or ten seconds – letting you get straight into the action if needed.

“I am not amused…”

New lighting options have also been added, letting you choose to focus on a particular spot, the centre of the frame, or an average coverage of the entire scene.

Other listed improvements include:

  • When charging, after 3 minutes of inactivity the icon will disappear. It will reappear if you press any button again.
  • After 1 hour of inactivity the LCD will be turned off. You can turn it back on by pressing any button.
  • START and STOP now have 2 different buzz so you can differentiate them.
  • Exposure has improved when shooting in inverted light.
  • When using an external microphone, stereo recording is now available.
  • When a file gets bigger than 3.8GB the file renaming was inconvenient. This was corrected with the new firmware and even when recording a file bigger than 3.8Gb the file won’t be renamed.
