With over 100 of the world’s leading technology journalists voting for their favourite products of the year, the European Hardware Awards is a truly unique event. As the virtual ceremony for our 9th annual awards is broadcast to the world, we’re proud to announce this year’s winners.

The European Hardware Awards 2023 began with a meeting of the members back in January, to decide on nominations. We then completed a full analysis of the products that had been launched, tested and rated by experts working for members of the European Hardware Association. The initial list was reduced to a list of deserving finalists, which you can see here. After the final votes were counted and checked, the awards themselves were produced and the winners announced at a special ceremony in the W Hotel in Taipei, on the eve of Computex 2023.

The member publications of the European Hardware Association have together produced well over half a million articles. The individual tests required to create those features, number in the millions. It’s that wealth of experience that makes the EHA uniquely qualified to judge the very best hardware on sale in Europe.

As of May 2023, the members include Geeknetic from Spain, HardwareLuxx from Germany, Hardware Info from the Netherlands, PurePC from Poland, io-tech from the Nordics, Hardware Upgrade from Italy, CowCotLand from France, Lab 501 from Romania and, of course, KitGuru from the UK.

Now that the extensive nomination and voting phases are over: It’s time to announce this year’s winners!

KitGuru says: Congratulations to the winners!

With over 100 of the world's leading technology journalists voting for their favourite products of the year, the European Hardware Awards is a truly unique event. As the virtual ceremony for our 8th annual awards is broadcast to the world, we're proud to announce this year's winners. Alongside the awards themselves, we have also completed work on the EHA Pan-European Hardware Purchase Intention Survey for 2022/2023.

The European Hardware Awards 2022 began with a meeting of the members, to decide on nominations. We then completed a full analysis of the products that had been launched, tested and rated by experts working for members of the European Hardware Association. The initial list was reduced to a list of deserving finalists, which you can see HERE. After the final votes were counted and checked, the awards themselves were produced and the winners announced on Monday 23rd May 2022.

Since their inception, the member publications of the European Hardware Association have together produced well over half a million articles. The individual tests required to create those articles, number in the millions. It's that wealth of experience that makes the EHA uniquely qualified to judge the vest best hardware on sale in Europe and to develop intuitive, large-scale research campaigns that yield genuine insight into the market.

As of May 2022, the members include KitGuru from the UK, HardwareLuxx from Germany, Geeknetic from Spain, Tweakers from the Netherlands, PurePC from Poland, io-tech from the Nordics, Hardware Upgrade from Italy, CowCotLand from France and Lab 501 from Romania.

Now that the extensive consideration, nomination and voting phases are over: It's time to announce this year's winners!  You can click on the images for more info.

In preparation for the European Hardware Awards 2020 on Thursday 25th June, over 100 specialist editors from EHA publications across the region have been deciding on a definitive list of the best hardware available in the market. Work on that list of nominations has now been completed and we’re ready to announce the finalists to the world!

In terms of scope and expertise, no editorial survey comes close to the one that the EHA runs to find the Best of the Best. Now in its sixth year, the EHA Awards 2020 promises to be a truly unique event.

On Thursday 25th June, at a special online ceremony, the winners of the European Hardware Awards 2020 will be revealed to a global audience.

Vendors, distributors, resellers and manufacturers will all get the results at the same time. The process by which products enter the nomination process, are analysed and voted for – is explained in detail over here. Thousands of products have been considered and we are now down to the ‘chosen few’.

Voting is underway in 42 categories, as our editorial teams decide which products are the best on sale in Europe today.

In the aptly named Mega Room on the 8th floor of the W Hotel in Central Taipei, the European Hardware Awards 2018 became our largest event to date, by some margin. With almost 200 of the industry’s most important people in the room, the EHA presented not only the EHA Awards 2018, but also the results of the largest survey of its kind, into the hardware buying intentions of more than 23,000 enthusiasts and influencers from across Europe.

Nominations for this year’s European Hardware Awards began in April and, in the weeks that followed, more than 100 of the most experienced editors in the world voted on which products they believed to be the ‘Best of the Best’ for 2018.

The European Hardware Association was formed almost 4 years ago and it has developed ever since. Alongside Hardware Upgrade from Italy, Geeknetic from Spain and PurePC from Poland, our membership also includes HardwareLuxx from Germany, Hardware.Info from the Benelux region, Lab501 from Romania, CowCotLand from France, SweClockers representing the Nordic countries and – of course – KitGuru from the United Kingdom.

Together, our editors have published more than 200,000 articles – which means that the EHA is uniquely positioned to judge the best hardware products on sale and to create large-scale, innovative research campaigns.

The European Hardware Awards finalists were revealed on 2nd May and, today, we're proud to announce the winners!

KitGuru says: the results are in – we have the best products of the year. Thanks to everyone who took part in our survey as well!

Nominations for the European Hardware Awards 2017 have now been finalised. Each product has been nominated by one of the 9 publications that make up the European Hardware Association. Voting has already started and the winners will be announced on the eve of Computex 2017 in Taipei.  If you had to pick the best hardware on sale in Europe today – would your list match ours?

With more than 100 editors working in 9 languages, the combination of publications that have come together to form the European Hardware Association (EHA) form a unique group.  KitGuru was a founder member and the group now has more than 22 million readers from across the globe.

At the start of April 2017, the EHA began collecting nominations from all of our editors – and the final list has now been approved, so the voting can begin.

This year we have 41 categories (more than ever before) and many new companies are being considered for the first time.

In front of an audience of nearly 200 representatives of the largest technology companies in the world, the winners of the 2016 European Hardware Awards picked up their honours at the Taipei International Convention Centre on the even of Computex. As a founder member, KitGuru was on hand to co-present the awards as well as delivering some powerful new information about the technology market.

The extensive process for nominations and voting took place for more than a month and, for the first time, SweClockers (Sweden) joined KitGuru, Hardware.info (Netherlands), HardwareLuxx (Germany), Hardware Upgrade (Italy), HispaZone (Spain), Lab501 (Romania), CowCotLand (France) and PurePC (Poland) in creating this definitive list of the finest hardware on sale across Europe.

Together, these sites host more than 22 million visitors a year and have a combined database of more than 100,000 articles. Its that accumulation of technical expertise, gained by running millions of individual tests, that makes the European Hardware Awards possible. You can find out more about the European Hardware Association from www.EHA.Digital.

KitGuru Says: Enough of the preamble, on to the winners!

Well here we are, 16 years into the new millennium and the rate of technological development shows no signs of slowing down. As the KitGuru Editorial Team sat down to discuss the best products of the year, we were constantly reminded of how much can change in just such a short period of time.

From the launch of the 1.4GHz Pentium 4, to Intel’s 6700K Skylake chips touching the 7GHz mark in August this year.

Back in the year 2000, Samsung’s R&D team created the first 512Mb DRAM, while this August saw the launch of the PM1633a – a 16TB solid state drive that effectively removes one of the mechanical storage sector’s last ‘wins’: Superior capacity. 3D Vertical NAND memory promises a lot in terms of capacity/cost in the near future.

Arguably the biggest steps forward ‘into a new tomorrow' are about to happen in virtual reality. The fundamentals haven’t really changed over the past 15 years (in as much as you wear a headset and a computer presents you with an alternative reality), but the Virtual Reality world is becoming more realistic and we’re seeing a glut of new, affordable technologies preparing to hit the mass market – including the Valve/HTC headset and the Rift/Touch from Oculus. Developer editions of the Microsoft HoloLens are being touted around the $3k mark, but that will change – especially if Asus and Gigabyte get into the market in 2016.

After the huge impact of the Maxwell architecture on the market, 2015 was a relatively slow one for graphics. Right now, all eyes are on the rumours that nVidia taped out its Pascal/GP100 chip in June 2015 and shipped 9 engineering samples in September. It could feature four stacks of HBM2 memory, offering gamers 16GB desktop cards and Quadro cards for professionals with up to 32GB. Final yields and pricing will likely be at the mercy of TSMC’s new 16nm FinFET process. We don't yet know what AMD have planned but HBM V1, showcased by AMD with their Nano and Fury range of cards has paved the way for future innovation in the VRAM segment.

As with last year’s awards, we’ll start with the items closest to the heart of your PC and work our way out to the retailer that you, the reader, voted as the best place to buy technology.

So what were the ‘Best of the Best' products in 2015?

After weeks of deliberation and voting, the EHA is proud to announce the winners of the inaugural European Hardware Awards in the Elegance Lounge of the Taipei International Convention Centre on the opening day of Computex 2015.

Alongside KitGuru, the founding members of the European Hardware Association include some of the largest independent hardware review sites from across the continent: Hardware.Info (The Netherlands), Hardwareluxx (Germany), Cowcotland (France), Hardware Upgrade (Italy), Hispazone (Spain), PurePC.pl (Poland) and Lab 501 (Romania).

Combined, the European Hardware Association reaches a vast and unique audience. Here are some of the stats:-

  • Over 20 million hardware enthusiast visitors a month
  • Millions of interactions on Facebook
  • A combined database of more than 100,000 articles
  • Millions of individual, scientific hardware tests, going back man years

From the time we first announced that this event would take place at the largest and most important show for our industry, we have had a huge amount of interest in which companies/products/people would make the short-list and which would win.

Our ‘List of Finalists‘ story increased the interest further – and we are now in position to reveal the roll call of victors.

KitGuru Says: The presentation ceremony itself was attended by over 150 of the most senior and influential personalities from the nominated companies – which shows just how highly the industry rates these awards. Special thanks to Gia and the team at the Taiwan Trade Association (TAITRA) who made organising the finals a pleasure.

The European Hardware Awards highlights the very best hardware available in the European market with the winners being announced on the opening day of Computex in Taipei. Now that the Editorial Panel has completed its initial deliberations, we're ready to announce the nominees for the European Hardware Awards 2015.

On 24th April, KitGuru announced the launch of the European Hardware Awards. Since then, a group of Europe's largest independent hardware review sites has been discussing which products will be considered as finalists. That list has now been completed and you can see the full line up below.

The extensive evaluation and voting process takes place throughout May, with the winners being announced during a special presentation in the Elegance Lounge (4F) of the Taipei International Convention centre (TICC) at 8pm on 2nd June 2015. The TICC is located right next to the Grand Hyatt hotel, in the shadow of the iconic Taipei 101 building.
