Horizon Forbidden West is making its grand debut on PC later this week. This new version of the game will support PC-exclusive technologies like Nvidia's DLSS 3. If you are planning on picking the game up, then you can now update your graphics drivers beforehand, as a new Game Ready driver has now dropped.

GeForce graphics card users can now update to the 551.86 driver, which brings day-one optimisations for Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition, which lands on PC on the 21st of March, complete with ray-tracing, DLSS 3, Nvidia Reflex and DLAA. With DLSS switched on, Nvidia says RTX 4080 users will be able to play the game at 4K/60FPS with Very High settings. Meanwhile, the RTX 3070 should be able to run the game at 1440p/60FPS with High settings.

This new Game Ready driver also brings support for DLSS 3.5 in Portal RTX, enabling ray-reconstruction for better ray-traced visuals while using DLSS upscaling.

If you are the type of person that likes to use Nvidia's recommended graphics settings for games to save time, then you'll also be pleased to know that two new games now have ‘optimal settings' listed, including Helldivers 2 and Three Kingdoms: Zhao Yun.

The new driver is available to download directly through the Nvidia App.

There are several big games launching this week and as usual, Nvidia is prepared with a GeForce Game Ready graphics driver. The latest GeForce driver brings support for new releases like Skull and Bones, which finally lands on PC and consoles this week after a decade of development.

The latest GeForce graphics driver brings day-one optimisations for Ubisoft's pirate multiplayer game, Skull and Bones, which we first saw at E3 many years ago. The game will be launching with ray-traced graphics options, as well as support for DLSS 2 so RTX graphics card owners can save some performance.

Other notable games releasing this week include Smalland: Survive the Wilds, which launches on February 15th with DLSS 2. Additionally, Don't Nod's next game, Banishers: Ghosts of Eden, is available as of today with support for Nvidia Reflex, DLAA and DLSS 3.

With all the settings maxed out at 4K with DLSS 3 on, you'll get over 100FPS with an RTX 4070 and the numbers only go up from there. The RTX 4080 for instance can hit over 150FPS with DLSS 3 switched on and the RTX 4090 approaches 190FPS.

The latest GeForce Game Ready driver is now available to download via the GeForce Experience.

We're just a couple of days away from the early access campaign release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. We already know the game will utilise a suite of Nvidia features, including Reflex, DLAA and DLSS 3 with Frame Generation. Now, the Game Ready driver is available for the game, which also brings support for a few other upcoming titles.

Aside from day-zero optimisations for Modern Warfare 3, this Game Ready driver also ensures the best day-one experience for RoboCop: Rogue City, Desynced and Jusant, all three of which will also support DLSS 3. Using DLSS 3 with Frame Generation, RTX 40 GPU users can reach higher levels of performance, with Jusant getting up to a 2.6X improvement in frame rate at 4K with max settings. RoboCop sees similar gains of up to 2.6X at 4K with DLSS 3.

Aside from new DLSS titles and Game Ready optimisations, this new driver also adds support for six more G-Sync Compatible displays. These displays don't have a G-Sync module inside of them but can still utilise Variable Refresh Rate by enabling G-Sync Compatibility in your Nvidia settings. The newly supported monitors include the Acer X45, the AOC AG456UCZD & U27G3XM, the Galax Q3222SUC, the LG 32GR75Q and the MSI MPG341QR.

The new Game Ready driver is now available to download through the GeForce Experience app.

For starters, a new GeForce Game Ready driver has dropped, bringing support for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 beta, as well as new releases like Forza Motorsport and Lords of the Fallen. Beyond that, new DLSS games have been announced, alongside the latest GeForce RTX game bundle.

We'll start off with the game bundle – if you are buying an RTX 40 series graphics card, starting from October 12th, you will also get a free code for Alan Wake 2. This makes perfect sense as Alan Wake 2 uses Nvidia technology, including the latest DLSS 3.5 with ray-reconstruction for better ray-traced visuals.

Other games set to launch with DLSS this month include Lords of the Fallen, RoboCop: Rogue City (demo), Highrise City and of course, the Modern Warfare 3 beta.

NVIDIA has launched a new GeForce Game Ready Driver for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III PC Multiplayer Open Beta, Forza Motorsport & Lords of the Fallen. You can download the new driver now through the GeForce Experience app.

Starfield has been performing oddly on Nvidia and Intel GPUs but the experience is expected to improve with graphics driver updates and game patches. The situation should improve for Nvidia users from today, as a new driver is now available with additional optimisations for Bethesda's latest RPG.

Starfield isn't the headlining game of today's GeForce graphics driver update. However, the patch notes do confirm that it does contain performance fixes for Starfield. The two headlining games of today's update are actually Mortal Kombat 1 and Lies of P, with the new driver having Game Ready optimisations for both titles. It is also worth noting that both of these games will also support DLSS at launch for extra performance on RTX graphics cards.

DLSS is also coming to a few more games with this update. Icarus now supports DLSS 3, Ad Infinitum is launching this week with DLSS 2, Warstride Challenges has left Early Access and now supports both DLSS 2 and Nvidia Reflex, Arcadegeddon now supports DLSS 2 and finally, Starsiege: Deadzone has been updated with DLSS 2.

If you're the type of person that likes to avoid messing around in options menus, then the GeForce Experience has now been updated with recommended settings for a few more titles as well, including Starfield, Armored Core 6, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Immortals of Aveum and Wayfinder.

The new GeForce 537.34 driver can now be downloaded via the GeForce Experience app, or directly from Nvidia.

Following on from the first reviews yesterday, the RTX 4060 graphics card is now officially available. Priced at £289 and up, this is now the new entry point to the RTX 40 line-up, enabling features like DLSS 3. To accompany the new graphics card, a new GeForce Game Ready driver update is now rolling out.

The new Game Ready driver enables support for the RTX 4060 graphics card, and enables DLSS in two new games – Stranded: Alien Dawn and Time Breaker. Both games now have DLSS 2, and Time Breaker goes a step further by adding ray-tracing features.

We have already had the chance to review the RTX 4060, an MSI Ventus 2X Black version to be exact, which is priced at MSRP. We had no issues with the cooler or design of the card, but we did find that the RTX 4060 as a whole isn't a super compelling product, particularly if you have an RTX 3060 12GB.

The latest GeForce Game Ready driver can now be downloaded through the GeForce Experience app.

Nvidia is getting GeForce GPU users prepared for both titles with the release of a new Game Ready graphics driver today, which also enables DLSS 2 in new games and adds additional G-Sync Compatible displays to Nvidia's ever-growing list.

Today's new GeForce Game Ready driver includes optimisations for both Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Dead Island 2, both of which are releasing this month. Dead Island 2 is a sequel to 2011's co-op zombie shooter, Dead Island. The game was first announced in 2014 but was delayed multiple times. Now almost a decade later, the game is finally launching.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has had a much smoother development timeline. The game is a direct sequel to 2019's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, continuing the story of protagonist Cal Kestis and his mission to stop the empire.

Today's driver update also enables DLSS 2 in three other games, including Bleak Faith: Forsaken, Romancelvania and Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened. Five more gaming monitors are also getting rated as G-Sync Compatible, including the AOC Q27G3Z, the AOC U32G3X, the Dell G2524H, the Dell G2724D and the Dell AW2724DM

It is the first Thursday of the month and Nvidia has now unveiled its plans for GeForce Now in December. This month, 22 more games will be added to the library, but beyond that, Nvidia also has a new Game Ready driver rolling out as more DLSS-supported titles are hitting the market.

For starters, there are five games getting DLSS 3 this month, including Need for Speed Unbound, Warhammer 40K Darktide, Portal RTX, Jurassic World Evolution 2 and of course, The Witcher 3, which is getting its ‘next gen' update on the 8th of December. There are also four more games implementing DLSS 2 this month – Firefighting Simulator, Marvel's Midnight Suns, Choo-Choo Charles and Blacktail. If you are planning on playing any of these games, you'll want the latest Nvidia Game Ready driver, which has rolled out today and can be downloaded through the GeForce Experience.

As for GeForce Now, the cloud gaming service will get 22 more games over the course of December. Six of those games are arriving today, including:

  • The Knight Witch (New release on Steam, Nov. 29)
  • Warhammer 40,000: Darktide (New Release on Steam, Nov. 30)
  • Fort Triumph (Free on Epic Games Store, Dec. 1-8)
  • Battlefield 2042 (Steam and Origin)

Earlier this week, we were wondering when Nvidia may update us on the status of ResizableBAR support for the full range of RTX 30 series graphics cards. It turns out, we didn't have to wait long, with today's GeForce driver update unlocking the feature, amongst other improvements for Nvidia Reflex and game optimisations.

Nvidia's GeForce Driver 465.89 is now rolling out, with fresh optimisations for Evil Genius 2: World Domination, the Kingdom Hearts series, Dirt 5's new ray-tracing update and Outriders, which launches tomorrow, 1st April.

The other major gaming improvement is the addition of Nvidia Reflex in Rainbow Six Siege. Following in the footsteps of other major competitive shooters, Nvidia Reflex is now available in Rainbow Six Siege, enabling much faster input response times. In this case, system latency can be reduced all the way down to 13ms on the RTX 3080, or 22ms on the RTX 2060 Super. GTX series graphics cards will also see some improvement – the GTX 1660 Super for instance sees latency reduced from 37ms to 26ms with Nvidia Reflex activated.

After a month or so of waiting, this driver also adds Resizable BAR on all GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards, paving the way for more gaming performance.

This driver also adds five new G-Sync Compatible gaming monitors to Nvidia's approval list, including the Asus XG16A, Dell S2522HG, LG 7GP850/27GP83B, LG 32GP850/32GP83B and the Xiaomi Mi 245 HF1.

Ahead of this week's release for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Nvidia has begun rolling out a Game Ready driver to prepare GeForce GPU owners for launch. Aside from day-one optimisations for Call of Duty, this latest driver also adds Nvidia Reflex support for a few more big games, as well as new G-Sync Compatible monitors.

NVIDIA Reflex, Nvidia's GPU-powered latency reducing technology for optimal input response times, is now coming to Destiny 2, Godfall and Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Reflex is also supported in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War and other competitive shooters like Valorant and Apex Legends.

As for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, this is one of the biggest RTX-supported releases of the year, utilising the following:

  • DirectX Ultimate ray-traced ambient occlusion, local shadows, and sun shadows that are RTX-accelerated for better performance.
  • NVIDIA DLSS to boost frame rates while using ray-tracing effects.
  • NVIDIA Reflex to reduce system latency.
  • NVIDIA Ansel in the campaign enables you to frame and snap unique hi-res screenshots.
  • NVIDIA Highlights in Multiplayer, ensuring your most entertaining in-game moments are automatically recorded and saved.

We are just one week away from Halo: Reach coming to PC after a lengthy stint as an Xbox exclusive title. In preparation for the big release, Nvidia has begun rolling out the Game Ready driver with optimisations. In addition, Quake II RTX has had an upgrade to further improve the ray-traced remaster. This latest driver also brings Image Sharpening support for OpenGL and Vulkan games.

Starting off with the big upgrade to Quake II RTX, today's update for the game updates 400 textures, improves water rendering, improves underwater god rays and the reflections/refractions of god rays. Ray-tracing effects have also been added to terminals, security monitors and other displays throughout the game and recursive reflections (reflections within reflections) are now rendered on selected surfaces.

The rendering of glass as well as reflections, refractions and god rays through glass has been improved and the game's denoising feature has been updated to increase fidelity. All of these improvements are available in Quake II RTX patch 1.2, which is now available via Steam.

The usual ‘Game Ready' optimisations are now also in place for Halo: Reach, the first part of the Halo journey and also the first release for The Master Chief Collection on PC, which will be followed by Halo 1 to 4 and ODST in 2020 as we lead up to the release of Halo Infinite.

Finally, Image Sharpening through Nvidia's control panel now supports games based on the OpenGL and Vulkan APIs, in addition to DirectX, so you can force some extra sharpness and clarity into almost any game available. You can download Nvidia's GeForce 441.41 driver now through the GeForce Experience app.

KitGuru Says: I'm going to have to reinstall Quake II RTX to check out this new update sounds very impressive. Beyond that, Halo: Reach is likely going to be my main game for December, so hopefully all goes well at launch. Are any of you planning on picking up Halo: Reach next week?

Just one month ago, Rockstar finally broke its silence and officially announced Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC, with the game coming to the Rockstar Launcher, Epic Games Store and eventually, Steam. The game is launching tomorrow and as usual, Nvidia already has a Game Ready driver rolling out in preparation.

Driver version 441.12 is now rolling out through the GeForce Experience. The new update includes the usual day-one optimisations, although Nvidia has also included some recommended GPU/detail setting combinations for getting 60 frames per second at 4K, 1440p and 1080p. According to Nvidia, an RTX 2080Ti will get you 4K/60 gameplay with a mix of medium and high detail settings. Meanwhile, an RTX 2070 SUPER will do the job for 1440p with high settings. Finally, the RTX 2060 should also be capable of running the game at high details for 1080p and 60fps.

Red Dead Redemption 2 isn't the only big news here though. Need for Speed Heat is also coming out later this week and the new driver has day-one optimisations for that too.

Finally, this new driver also enables G-Sync Compatible support for LG's 2019 4K OLED TVs, including the B9, C9 and E9 models, although if you own one of those TVs, this driver also needs to be combined with a firmware update from LG, which is currently only available in the US, Canada and Mexico with other regions to follow soon.

We have two major game launches heading our way this Friday. Not only is Obsidian returning to first-person, New Vegas style RPGs with The Outer Worlds, but Infinity Ward is back in the saddle with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.  Both games are coming on the 25th of October and in preparation, Nvidia has begun rolling out a new Game Ready driver with optimisations for both titles.

Reviews for The Outer Worlds have already begun going up, with the game receiving generally favourable scores so far. The new GeForce Game Ready 440.97 WHQL driver has day-1 optimisations for the game, so if you are planning on jumping into this over the weekend, you should upgrade for best performance.

The main focus of this driver is really Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which is one of the biggest games to date to support Nvidia's RTX ray-tracing. Modern Warfare will use ray-traced shadows, similarly to Shadow of the Tomb Raider. According to the recommended system requirements, RTX 2060 owners should get 60fps at 1080p with ray-traced shadows switched on. An RTX 2070 SUPER should get you 1080p/144fps gameplay with RTX on and finally, an RTX 2080 SUPER is recommended for 4K/60fps with ray-tracing.

Of course, if you don't necessarily care about ray-tracing, then a GTX 970 or GTX 1660 should net you 60 frames per second at 1080p with high settings according to the recommended system requirements.

KitGuru Says: Time to open up the GeForce Experience app and start downloading the new driver. I'll likely be jumping into The Outer Worlds this weekend. Are any of you planning on picking up Modern Warfare or The Outer Worlds?

A major acquisition isn't the only talking point floating around Nvidia today. We are also seeing the company end support for two of its products soon, the first being 3D Vision and the second being the last remaining Kepler-based mobile GPUs.

3D Vision debuted back in 2008 on the cusp of the TV industry's big 3D TV push. Support for 3D Vision can still be found in high-end gaming monitors but game support has been drying up as time goes on. As a result, Nvidia is officially ending support for it in April 2019, although any critical issues will continue to be patched until April 2020.

In April 2019, Nvidia will also be dropping ‘Game Ready' driver support for Kepler-based mobile GPUs. From April onward, these laptop GPU driver updates will only target Maxwell, Pascal and Turing, so if you are still rocking a laptop with 600 or 700 series graphics, it will be time to start looking at upgrades soon.

KitGuru Says: With virtual reality starting to become more common, it makes sense to put 3D Vision to rest. With that said, I do wish I had tried it back in the day. Did any of you use 3D Vision at all over the years?

The gaming world might seem a bit quiet at the moment as we all wait for E3, but there are a couple of notable releases taking place at the moment. This month's Nvidia Game Ready driver tackles support and optimisations for State of Decay 2, and the upcoming beta for The Crew 2.

Ubisoft's ‘The Crew 2' is a return to the open world racing franchise. There is a beta taking place on the 31st of May until the 4th of June ahead of the sequel's final release on the 29th of June.

Secondly, State of Decay 2 just launched on PC earlier this week. The co-op based zombie survival title is one of the few major exclusives on Microsoft's schedule for this year. Game Pass subscribers can download the game on PC and Xbox without spending extra, you can also buy it to own from the Windows Store for £24.99.

If you are planning on playing either of these games, and use an Nvidia GPU, then be sure to update to the new 397.93 WHQL drivers.

Nvidia’s 397.31 Game Ready driver ended up causing a lot of issues for GeForce GTX 1060 users last month, with the problem finally resolved with a quick hotfix a week later. Moving on from the debacle, the company has now launched its 397.64 driver, optimising Conan Exiles, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire and Destiny 2’s latest Warmind expansion.

While it was the previously released GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 397.55 that smoothed over visual issues reported by users primarily plaguing GeForce GTX 1060 users, the new 397.64 Game Ready driver manages to fix a host of bugs from previous releases, such as Netflix stuttering, crashes upon exiting Starcraft 2 and the lack of functionality from MSAA enabled through the Nvidia Control Panel.

Alongside providing the best experience for Conan Exiles, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire and Destiny 2: Warmind, the 397.64 Game Ready driver adds SLI profiles for Kingdom Come: Deliverance and GRIP, alongside support for Microsoft Surface Books which came alongside the Hotfix.

Unfortunately, many smaller issues still remain from the buggy 397.31 driver, with new problems being added to the mix. Some players are claiming that Wolfenstein II keeps crashed since the update landed, Nvidia Surround bugging out in Call of Duty: WWII and Shadowplay / Share working intermittently.

KitGuru Says: Unless any of the three titles are imperative to the user, it is recommended to hang around a little before downloading, so as to avoid the same headache caused by Nvidia’s release at the end of April. Do any of the enhanced games interest you?

The October rush of games may be over, but there are still a couple of major releases set before the end of the year. This week, we have Injustice 2 and Star Wars Battlefront II coming out on PC, which means it is time for another Nvidia driver update. This latest driver also comes with some additional optimizations for Destiny 2 players, improving performance by quite a bit.

Nvidia graphics card owners looking to play Star Wars Battlefront II this weekend will want to install driver version 388.31 for the optimal day one experience. If you have a GTX 1060, then you should be able to exceed 60 frames per second at 1080p with high detail settings. If you have a GTX 1070, then you should get a smooth experience at 1440p with high settings. For those of you with a 4K display, then a GTX 1080Ti should be able to deliver 60 frames per second at high settings.

Warner Bros also shadow dropped Injustice 2 on Steam this week. If you are looking to play through the DC fighter at 1080p with high detail settings, then you are going to want to be equipped with a GTX 1060.

While these two new games are a major focus this week, Nvidia's 388.31 driver also brings some welcome improvements to Destiny 2. According to Nvidia, performance can be up to 53 percent higher with the latest driver depending on your system and chosen resolution.

Here are the improvements listed:

Graphics Card 1440p Improvement 4K Improvement

It’s October, which means for the next several weeks, we are going to be seeing a lot of major game launches. Coupled with that, will be Nvidia’s Game Ready driver updates. Today, Nvidia is rolling out a new Game Ready driver preparing GeForce users for Destiny 2 as well as Assassin’s Creed Origins, both of which release this week.

There are two major headliners for this week’s driver update, the first of which is Destiny 2. It is coming to PC a little later than it did consoles, but from what we saw in the beta, the game should function very well on its latest platform. Nvidia has not been very vocal about its support for this launch and this driver shows that with various optimisations and an SLI profile.

With this driver, GTX 1080Ti users should be able to hit 60 frames per second at 4K with the highest graphical settings. Meanwhile, the GTX 1070 will do the trick for 1440p and the GTX 1060 will garner 60 frames per second at the highest settings at 1080p.

The next game on the list is Assassin’s Creed Origins. We’ve already seen the system requirements for this game on PC and funnily enough, they are lower than Assassin’s Creed Unity from several years back. With that in mind, it seems clear that Ubisoft has spent more time optimising for PC this time around. We won’t be able to put that to the test until Friday though.

In an odd twist, Bethesda’s release this week, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, is not included in the list of games supported by this driver. However, that game doesn’t launch until the end of the week, so we may see another update closer to the time.

KitGuru Says: Are any of you planning on grabbing Destiny 2 or Assassin’s Creed Origins this week?

Over the next few days not only will we be seeing the final launch of Ark: Survival Evolved but the Destiny 2 PC beta will also be kicking off. As a result, there is a new ‘Game Ready’ driver in town, ready to prepare Nvidia GPU owners with driver optimisations for these games.

The latest GeForce 385.41 WHQL driver comes with official support for the Destiny 2 PC beta, which launches on the 28th of August. This will be the Destiny franchise’s first time on PC, so Bungie needs to make its first impression count. Aside from Destiny 2, SLI is getting some love with this new driver, as SLI profiles are being added for ARK: Survival Evolved, Destiny 2, Faith and Danshant, Secret World Legends, Starpoint Gemini Warlords and finally, Lawbreakers.

If you happen to be a fan of Nvidia’s Ansel screenshot tool, then soon you will be able to use it within PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds and PES 2018. If you want your GPU to run quieter during gameplay, then WhisperMode profiles are being added for Destiny 2 and F1 2017.

Finally, if you are playing Lawbreakers of Quantum Break, this driver should fix an issue causing sharp frame rate drops when running a GTX 970.

KitGuru Says: I’m looking forward to jumping in to the Destiny 2 beta myself, though I’m one of the few that has overlooked the problems with the original Destiny. What gaming plans do you have for the weekend?

There is a new Nvidia Game Ready driver rolling out but this time around it contains a little more than optimisations. There is a new feature debuting for Nvidia ShadowPlay called Highlights, which will automatically capture ‘highlight' moments during gameplay in supported games. Nvidia has teamed up with Bosskey Productions to make Lawbreakers the first game to support this new feature.

The latest Nvidia Game Ready driver is now rolling out and aims to provide the best day-one experience for Lawbreakers, Eve: Valkyrie's new Ultra graphics upgrade, Fortnite, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and the official launch version of Ark: Survival Evolved, which leaves Early Access soon.

Aside from that, ShadowPlay Highlights will be included in drivers from this point onwards. If any of you have experience with the Xbox One, the Highlight system here is very similar. Whenever an achievement is unlocked, or when a specific in-game feat is achieved (like a kill streak or something), a video clip or screenshot will automatically be recorded and saved so that you can share that moment with the world.

Finally, Nvidia's Ansel screenshot tool will now be supported in Ark: Survival Evolved as well as in Dark and Light. If you need a refresher on what Ansel is and how to use it, you can check out our guide, HERE.

KitGuru Says: Will any of you be grabbing one of the game's on this list? What do you think of the new ShadowPlay Highlights feature?

Earlier this month, BossKey Productions announced that it would be fully releasing Lawbreakers fully in just a couple of months time. However, before that, there is going to be one last round in Beta- the Rise Up beta, which launches this week. Besides that, a VR experience is launching to celebrate the release of Spider-Man Homecoming. To ensure peak performance in these releases, Nvidia has begun rolling out its latest ‘Game Ready' driver.

Nvidia Driver 384.76 is now rolling out via the GeForce Experience, with optimisations in place for the Lawbreakers ‘Rise Up' beta, which runs from the 28th of June until the 3rd of July. Nvidia has issued 20,000 closed beta keys to GeForce Experience users in the build-up and BossKey has been making it fairly accessible this time around too.

Aside from that, Spider-Man Homecoming had its premiere this week and to help promote the movie, a virtual reality experience is being released. As with any VR title, stutter needs to be eliminated and optimisation needs to take place in order to ensure a consistent, high frame rate throughout. This driver should help with that.

KitGuru Says: If you are running an Nvidia graphics card, then now would be the time to update. Let us know how you get on in the comments!

As many of you know by now, Bethesda and Arkane Studios' Prey reboot is launching in less than 24 hours and at this point, the developers have spent a lot of time trying to big up the PC version. As with any major game release, this also means it is time for a GPU driver update, with Nvidia's latest Game Ready driver focussing on optimisations for Prey as well as multi-GPU support for Gears of War 4.

Nvidia's engineers have been working on tweaking performance for Prey, so GeForce GPU users will want to use this driver if they are planning on picking up the game this week. On top of that, some additional performance benefits are packed in for Battlezone, which is a VR game releasing this week.

Finally, Nvidia has recently vowed to continue supporting and optimising for ongoing multiplayer games. We first saw this with Heroes of the Storm 2.0, which was revisited in a driver last month due to the game's 2.0 update.

Now, Gears of War 4 is getting that same treatment, as the game is set to get an extensive update this month. With this driver coupled with the game's May update, you will finally be able to use multiple GPUs to gain a performance edge in Gears of War 4. The game is also getting two extra maps.

KitGuru Says: I'm looking forward to giving Prey a go myself when it comes out tomorrow. Are any of you planning on playing through Prey this week? Do any of you happen to still be playing Gears 4? Given how good that game was on PC, I would love to revisit it and test its multi-GPU performance at some point.

Earlier this week, Nvidia addressed some of the issues that virtual reality gamers have been having recently. For starters, the DisplayPort on Pascal GPUs was found to be incompatible with the HTC Vive headset and on top of that, many users found their GeForce graphics cards not using their boost clocks at all. Fortunately, both of these issues have been fixed in today's driver update, which also brings support for the Ansel game capture tool.

Ansel was one of the big features Nvidia announced alongside the GTX 1080. It is a Pascal exclusive feature that takes ultra high-resolution screenshots and lets users do some image editing to boot. Right now this tool is running in Mirror's Edge: Catalyst but support for The Witcher 3 is also coming.

Aside from that, those who own a GTX 980Ti, GTX 1070 or a GTX 1080 can download Nvidia's VR Funhouse demo, which puts you in a virtual fairground filled with mini games.

So if you have a VR headset, this driver seems like an important update, bringing along some fixes, a new demo and some optimisations for other games including Everest VR, Obduction, Raw Data and The Assembly.

KitGuru Says: Ansel looks like a high-quality screenshot tool but Mirror's Edge Catalyst doesn't seem like the best launch title, mostly down to the lack of players. Aside from that though, the Funhouse VR demo seems quite fun. Have any of you had any driver issues recently?

The Oculus Rift officially launched today with the first pre-orderers finally receiving their units so, in order to ensure that buyers are getting the best experience they can on their gaming rigs, Nvidia and AMD have both released new driver updates today aimed to optimize the day one experience for Rift owners.

AMD-Radeon-Software-e14464705552621

We will start off with AMD which released Radeon Software Crimson 16.3.2, which includes support for the Oculus Rift SDK v1.3 as well as the Radeon Pro Duo graphics card, making this the most stable and optimized VR driver from AMD to date. On top of that, this new driver packs in support for LiquidVR technology, which provides developers with the tools to better utilise the GCN architecture for VR. Some improvements have also been made to Hitman PC performance.

game-ready-drivers-e1446731499478

On the Nvidia side, we are getting GeForce driver 364.72, which is a Game Ready driver for the Oculus Rift with enhancements for games like Eve Valkyrie and Chrono. However, that isn't the only focus, this driver also contains specific optimizations for upcoming games Quantum Break, Killer Instinct, Dark Souls III and Paragon.

Nvidia's driver is already live and available through the GeForce Experience while AMD's new driver can be downloaded from their website, HERE.

KitGuru Says: Two big driver releases today from both AMD and Nvidia. Have any of you guys updated your drivers yet? Is everything running fine?
