HyperX is launching a new lightweight gaming mouse weighing in at just 59g. Thanks to the honeycomb hex shell design the weight of the HyperX Pulsefire Haste has been reduced significantly, allowing users to perform quicker movements while also offering improved ventilation for the palm of the hand.

Featuring TTC Golden Micro Dustproof switches with a durability of 60 million clicks, the Pulsefire Haste has 6x customisable buttons and onboard memory to save your favourite button profiles. The mouse is equipped with a Pixart 3335 sensor with 4x DPI presets (400, 800, 1600, 3200), but it can push up to 16000 DPI. By downloading HyperX Ngenuity, users can access customisation options for mouse settings, RGB lighting, button presets and macros.

The HyperX Pulsefire Haste comes with a set of PTFE skates (replacement set included) to better glide on different surfaces and a HyperFlex USB cable to reduce resistance, allowing users to move the mouse easier. This mouse also comes with grip tape for better control over the mouse.

Jennifer Ishii, mouse business manager at HyperX, stated that the HyperX Pulsefire Haste is a “multi-platform compatible mouse designed for top gaming performance”, adding mentions of “improved accuracy”, particularly when using the included grip tape.

The HyperX Pulsefire Haste mouse is available now for $49.99 at HyperX's online shop.

Google's next iteration of Android is rumoured to be known as Android 5.0 Jelly Bean, which may launch as soon as the second quarter of this year. I have read in the past that some features and optimisations were planned to be part of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but were later left out presumably due to time constraints.

DigiTimes has heard some information from Taiwan based supply chain personnel that “Android 5.0 will be further optimized for tablet PCs” and bring a live dual-boot feature by integrating some of Chrome OS' source code into Android. This dual-boot feature will enable manufactures to allow for dual-booting tablets and laptops with Android 5.0 and Windows 8. Best of all, users will be able to switch without having to shut down the system.

Google is also planning to reach out to laptop vendors with a higher degree of seriousness with Android 5.0. How they will do this is unclear at this stage, but it may be the downfall of Chrome OS. Although I still think Google still needs to push major updates to their office related applications to be a serious laptop player.

Kitguru says: If Android 4.0 was the combination of Android 2.3 Gingerbread and 3.2 Honeycomb; Android 5.0 could well be the combination of Android 4.0 and Chrome OS.

Adobe have announced that Google's new ‘Honeycomb' version of the Android Operating System will be available in the coming weeks.

Honeycomb is a much awaited version of Android as it is designed specifically for tablet PCs and is set to offer a whole new array of features. The first high profile tablet which will support the new OS will be Motorola's Xoom which on paper looks to be one of the most technically advanced tablets to hit the market this year. It is launching in a few days in America.

Flash is an important piece of software for any tablet (well apart from Apple, but thats another story), and many people had feared that Adobe might drag their heels with this release.

Motorola Xoom, can it take sales from the iPad?

“Consumers are clearly asking for Flash support on tablet devices and the good news is that they won’t have to wait long. We are aware of over 50 tablets that will ship in 2011 supporting a full web experience (including Flash support) and Xoom users will be among the first to enjoy this benefit,” wrote Matt Rozen, on Adobe's Flash Platform Blog.

Adobe also said that V10.2 of their flash player will be offered as a download or will come preinstalled on some tablets which will launch later in 2011. Adobe also indicated that Flash Player 10.2 will offer users of dual core tablets and smartphone HD Flash video and up to 30 frames per second video performance.

KitGuru says: Why is flash not available on Apple mobile products? Who better to answer that, than Steve Jobs.
