Gigabyte’s Waterforce series has outfitted motherboards with all-in-one monoblocks designed for custom water-cooling enthusiasts of late, with the most recent Z490 Aorus Xtreme Waterforce being no exception featuring a huge monoblock covering the CPU, VRM, SSD and PCH.

However, Gigabyte has added a new member to the Waterforce range this week with the Z490 Aorus Master putting a new twist on the Waterforce motherboard series. This new Aorus Waterforce board isn’t targeting custom water-cooling enthusiasts, but more mainstream users looking for a liquid cooling solution for both the CPU and VRM without the hassle of building a custom loop.

Enter the Z490 Aorus Master Waterforce that comes equipped with a 360mm AIO liquid cooler bundled in the box. This is not just any ordinary AIO, it covers the CPU as you would expect from an AIO liquid cooler, but also cools the motherboard VRM too, while still using a traditional four fixing point method like any other traditional AIO cooler.

The included AIO cooler features an additional heatsink and heat pipe with new generation 7.5W/mK LAIRD thermal pads for the VRM cooling, as well as dual ball-bearing 120mm ARGB fans on the radiator. At the centre of the large CPU/VRM water block is the trademark Aorus falcon logo and the lighting effects of the AIO are compatible with Gigabyte RGB Fusion 2.0 software control.

Other key features of the new Z490 Aorus Master Waterforce include a 14-phase, 90-amp digital power phase with Smart Power Stage design, solid power pin connections and Tantalum Polymer capacitors for improved transient response of the VRM. The motherboard also retains the original Z490 Aorus Master features such as 2.5 Gbps Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, ALC 1220-VB audio engine and PCIe 4.0 support for future CPU upgrades.

UK price and availability of the Z490 Aorus Master Waterforce is still to be announced.

KitGuru says: It will be interesting to see what price tag Gigabyte slaps on the Z490 Aorus Master Waterforce and whether it will be more cost-effective than buying the original Z490 Aorus Master and a separate 360mm AIO. What do you guys think?

While Z490 hit all the headlines in the enthusiast market, the lower-spec range of Intel 10th generation Comet Lake-S processors will no doubt find their way into more cost-effective motherboards such as the new H410 range recently announced by Biostar.

The Biostar H410 series of motherboards offering support for Intel 10th gen processors have been unveiled this week, with two new models aimed at business and casual users. Biostar claims the H410MHG and H410MH boards are manufactured from high-grade components and feature some impressive functions, suitable for all usage scenarios and built with reliability in mind.

Both boards are of the micro-ATX form factor and equipped with features such as USB 3.2 Gen 1 with transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps and backwards compatibility with older USB specifications. Additionally, the H410 boards are also outfitted with PCIe M.2 storage slots with up to 10 Gb/s bandwidth and support up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory with speeds of up to 2933 MHz via two onboard DIMM slots.

Biostar H410 motherboards also include GbE LAN and a comprehensive rear I/O panel that consists of two USB 3.2 (Gen1) ports, four USB 2.0 ports, one COM port, an HDMI port capable of outputting 4K resolution and ALC887 Audio with 7.1 channel HD Audio output via three audio jacks with the H410MHG. Rear I/O connectivity of the H410MH features much of the same but with a VGA output alongside the HDMI port.

The H410MHG and MH are outfitted with a single PCIe 3.0 X16 slot, two PCIe X1 slots onboard as well as four SATA III 6 Gb/s connectors on the MHG and two SATA III 6 Gb/s connectors on the MH variant. The H410MHG is also equipped with a single PCI port for legacy add-in cards and a TPM header towards the bottom of the motherboard.

Today, Dell is bringing new life to its XPS line of laptops, including the long-awaited return of the XPS 17 option. Today's launch sees details and pricing released for both the new 2020 XPS 15 and the new XPS 17.

It has been a really long time since Dell last offered an XPS 17 but that changes this year. The new XPS 17 is said to be “the smallest 17-inch laptop on the planet”, with a minimal-bezel display. Thanks to the compact nature of the XPS 17, it is smaller than 48% of 15-inch laptops currently on the market, while having a larger display. In terms of specs, you can expect to find an Intel 10th Gen Core series processor and ‘up to' Nvidia GeForce RTX 20160 Max-Q graphics.

The XPS 15 has also been redesigned, striking a balance between power and portability. The display is slightly larger, with a 16:10 aspect ratio and there are up-firing speakers to make built-in audio better all around. Dell also boasts 25-hour battery life and specs that include 10th Gen Intel Core series CPUs and ‘up to' Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650Ti graphics.

Both the XPS 17 and the XPS 15 have displays with 100% Adobe RGB coverage and 94% DCI P3 colour gamut support. You can also choose to upgrade to a 4K Ultra HD+ (3840×2400) display.

The XPS 15 is available in the US and Europe starting this month, with pricing starting at $1,299.99. The XPS 17 is coming in June, with pricing starting at $1,499.99.

Today at CES, our man on the ground, Luke Hill, had the chance to check out MSI's impressive lineup of laptops, including the Alpha and Bravo AMD-powered systems, as well as the brand new GS66 Stealth and GE66 Raider.

The MSI Alpha 15 laptop is currently running a Ryzen 3000 laptop processor, so it hasn't updated to the new 7nm Ryzen 4000 laptop series that AMD announced earlier in the week. However, we are told that Ryzen 4000 is coming to this model soon, so expect the spec to update.

The MSI Bravo 15 on the other hand is already running Ryzen 4000 and also comes with an RX 5500M discrete GPU. The display is 1080p/144Hz, which is music to any gamer's ears and we are told that pricing will sit below the $1000 mark, making this a very intriguing option on the market.

The GS66 Stealth goes in the ‘thin and light’ direction with a stealthy black design. MSI has taken feedback from the previous Stealth laptops and integrated upward facing speakers in the new GS66 Stealth, rather than downward facing speakers. This should improve overall sound quality compared to previous generations.

The panel in use can be up to 300Hz, so this is going to be one of the top-end options for competitive gamers. Under the hood, you will find a triple-fan cooling design with the world's thinnest 0.1mm fan blades. According to MSI, this design generates 10% more airflow, which of course leads to better thermal performance. MSI is planning on adding in the latest Intel 10th Gen CPUs and Nvidia GeForce graphics for this laptop, so it might not hit the market for another few months as new hardware is on the way.

Finally, we have the GE66 Raider, which is more obviously a gaming laptop compared to the Stealth. For the new Raider, MSI has angled the hinge to make the laptop easier to open with one hand, meanwhile MSI is using a titanium silver colour scheme with a bright RGB LED bar at the front of the laptop. When the GE66 Raider arrives, it will have similar specs to the GS66 Stealth, so the latest and greatest from Intel/Nvidia plus a 300Hz display option.

Both the GE66 Raider and GS66 Stealth come with a 99Whr battery, which is the maximum legal capacity allowed to be taken on a plane in the US.

MSI has a few other laptops announced here at CES, you can find our rundown of the full lineup, HERE.

KitGuru Says: Gaming laptops have certainly come a long way over the years and MSI's latest batch all appear to be very impressive. We'll be looking forward to having a more in-depth look later on in the year. What do you all think of MSI's new laptops?

Today at IFA, Razer kicked off the event by announcing the all new Razer Blade Stealth 13, which doubles as the world's first gaming ultrabook. The new Blade Stealth uses an Intel 10th Gen CPU and Nvidia GTX 16-series graphics to deliver gaming performance in the company's most compact laptop.

The CPU here is an Intel 10th Gen Core i7-1065G7, while the GPU is an Nvidia GTX 1650. It won't be the most powerful gaming laptop around, but you will get good performance considering the small 15mm thin chassis and 1.3kg weight. The laptop also includes a 512GB PCIe SSD and there are two display options- 1080p and 4K.

The Full-HD version has a matte black finish with Intel's Low Power Display Technology to help squeeze out as much battery life as possible. The 4K UHD version has a glass panel with touch integration, although both versions are calibrated to offer 100% sRGB colour space.

Razer is also bringing back the Mercury White colour option, although the spec is a little different. This one comes with a 1080p display and a 256GB PCIe SSD instead.

As you would expect, the new Razer Blade Stealth 13 also comes with an RGB keyboard, USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports and WiFi 6 for improved networking. The new line of Razer Blade Stealth laptops will start at $1,499.99 in the US and €1,679.99 in Europe. Availability is currently planned for the end of September across the US and Canada, with the UK, France, Germany, Nordics, China, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan to be added to the list a bit later.

KitGuru Says: We'll be looking forward to getting some hands on time with this later in the week. On paper though, this seems to be very impressive, particularly for an ultrabook. What do you all think of the new Razer Blade Stealth?
