We've already covered a wide range of gaming monitor and graphics card deals from MSI this Black Friday. Now, our attention turns to all the other bits, with discounts for those looking to pick up a case, cooler, motherboard or power supply for a new build.

We'll start off with cases. While a PC case might not be the first thing you think of when you see the MSI logo, the company has some very good options and during the Black Friday sale period, there are decent discounts to be had. At the high-end, we have the MEG PROSPECT 700R, usually £349.99 but currently down to £269.99.

Moving down the list, both the MPG GUNGNIR 300R and 300P AIRFLOW cases are currently down to £119.99, providing an affordable foundation for your build with all the popular features required for a modern gaming PC. For £99.99, you can find the MPG VELOX 100R, a compact mid-tower with tempered glass panels, an easy-to-open side door and side ventilation for airflow.

For £83.98 (white version) or £77.99 (black version) you can also find the MPG GUNGNIR 110R, which both ship with ARGB fans out of the box.

On the cooler front, MSI has a good range of deals for 240mm and 360mm AIO liquid coolers. The CoreLiquid K240 V2 for instance is currently down from £175 to £119.99, complete with ARGB fans and a 2.4″ display. If you don't need or want a display on the CPU block, the CoreLiquid MAG 240R is a good alternative at £74.99.

If you need a bigger radiator, the MEG CoreLiquid S360 is down from £259.98 to £174.98 A cheaper 360mm opotion is the CoreLiquid C360, which ships with ARGB fans for £109.98.

If you are starting a new PC build or making a platform upgrade, then you're probably looking around for a new motherboard. If you are going to Intel, then the MPG Z790 Carbon WiFi has a nice discount applied at the moment, bringing the price down to £349.99. On the AMD side, the MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WiFi is down to £269.99.

The MSI Pro Z790-P WiFi is a cheaper option compared to the Carbon model, coming in at £189.99. At £139.98, you could grab the B760 Gaming Plus, a very cost-effective option for a modern gaming PC. An AMD option in a similar price range is the B550 MAG TOMAHAWK, coming in at £129.98, perfect for pairing with a Ryzen 5000 series processor, which still hold up very well in gaming.

Finally we arrive at power supplies. When it comes to PSUs, you often want to get something recent so that you can futureproof yourself for upgrades down the line. All of MSI's PCIe 5.0 power supplies are currently discounted. At the high end, we have the MEG Ai1300P, offering 1300W of 80+ Platinum rated power. Typically this unit costs well over £300 but is currently down to £269.99.

If you are looking for a 1000W PSU instead, then the MPG A1000G is down to £130. The MAG A850GL offers 850W and is 80+ Gold rated for £89.99, and the 750W version comes in £10 cheaper at £79.98.

Earlier this year, Phanteks rolled out its new Glacier One D30 AIO liquid coolers, sporting a 240mm or 360mm radiator, along with Phanteks excellent D30 RGB fans. Now a couple of months later, the 420mm version of this cooler is now hitting the market.

The Glacier One D30 AIO cooler comes equipped with Phanteks' own D30 fans, offering one of the smoothest D-RGB lighting systems on the market. Better yet, the D30 fans can be daisy-chained and controlled through a single cable, eliminating cable clutter and simplifying your cooling setup.

The cooler’s large copper base and fin array ensure efficient heat dissipation, making it an ideal choice for high-end CPUs. As you would expect from an AIO unit, the sleek and compact design also means you have plenty of clearance for other components, including tall RAM modules.

There are now three Glacier One D30 coolers available – 240mm, 360mm and 420mm priced at £12999, £154.99 and £169.99 respectively. Each model is also available in either black or white, so you can pick the one that best suits your build. All three AIO coolers are now available at Overclockers UK.

When building a budget system, one piece of hardware that you have plenty of choices with is the CPU cooler. There are tonnes of cheap air coolers and some budget AIOs out there from lesser-known brands, but finding a good quality AIO liquid cooler from a reputable vendor at a good price can be a challenge. This is where Cooler Master comes in with its MasterLiquid Lite series which has always offered good value for money from a trusted brand.

Cooler Master has recently launched a new budget AIO cooler, the MasterLiquid 360L Core ARGB looks like it could be the best value of all the L series coolers with both the 240mm and 360mm versions priced very competitively with MSRP prices of under £90 for the 240 and around £105 for the 360. Both versions are also available in black or white colour schemes, so white-themed PC enthusiasts also have another AIO option now.

If the MSRP price of the MasterLiquid 360L Core ARGB isn’t enough to tempt you then currently Cooler Master and Amazon are running a sell-out promotion which brings the 360mm SKU down to the same price as the 240, yes that’s under £90 for a 360mm AIO with ARGB lighting from a reputable brand, that’s sounds like exceptional value but only if the cooler has the performance to match right? That’s what we will find out in this review.

Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360L Core ARGB features:

  • Equipped with a new Cooler Master generation S pump specification with a redesigned copper cold plate as well as boosted water flow and an expanded radiator surface for optimal heat dissipation and cooling.
  • Upgraded 120mm Cooler Master ARGB fans delivering optimal radiator airflow and customisable lighting options. Fans feature standard 3-pin 5v ARGB connections and 4-pin PWM fan header connections for quick installation and maximum compatibility.
  • Included with the MasterLiquid 360L/240L Core is a tube of Cooler Master Cryofuze premium thermal paste, enough for multiple installations.
  • The pump cover has been redesigned with a new minimalist look for a clean modern aesthetic with an ARGB illuminated Cooler Master Halo logo.

MasterLiquid 360L Core Specifications:

  • CPU Socket: LGA1700, LGA1200, LGA1151, LGA1150, LGA1155, LGA1156, AM5, AM4, AM3+, AM3, AM2+, AM2, FM2+, FM2, FM1

The post Endorfy Navis F360 AIO Cooler Review first appeared on KitGuru.]]>
We have looked at several Endorfy (formerly Silentium PC) CPU coolers over the past several months. These range from budget air coolers to RGB equipped all-in-ones. In this review, we are looking at the biggest cooler from Endorfy thus far – the 360mm Navis F360. No frills, no gimmicks, just solid cooling at an affordable price point is what Endorfy aims for with the Navis F360. So, let’s see how this triple-fan unit performs on our test system.

The accessory bundle is the usual set of mounting hardware for modern Intel and AMD sockets, excluding Threadripper. Endorfy also supplies a small tube of Pactum PT-3 thermal paste. And there’s a fan extension connection cable.

For the 360mm-class aluminium radiator, Endorfy goes with the standard thickness of 27-28mm. The radiator fins are all black, as we would expect from a styling perspective.

Black, braided tubing is a clear quality touch that adds to the feel of a premium product. With regards to tubing flexibility, this is reasonably positive. Factoring in the rotation of the connection entry points on the pump-block unit, and the flexibility is solid.

Sizing of the copper cold plate is large and should easily suffice for even bigger CPUs such as Ryzen or Intel HEDT. As Endorfy supplies a tube of its Pactum PT-3 thermal paste separately, there is none pre-applied. This is an approach that I personally prefer as it simply gives a little more control, especially as the tube of paste has sufficient quantity for multiple applications.

Chunkiness is clearly one of the main focus points for Endorfy’s design of pump-block unit. The bracket mounting hardware for Intel and AMD platforms is pre-applied. This should ease the install procedure, albeit at the cost of limited upgradability if Intel designs to change the mounting solution anytime soon.

The ceramic bearing pump is PWM controlled. SATA power and a 4-pin fan connection manage the pump unit for its speed range of 1600-2600 RPM.

Just like the rest of the cooler, there is no LED lighting on the pump housing, which will certainly appeal to some. One short-sighted design feature is that the Endorfy brand logo cannot be rotated. So, depending on the installation location, the logo orientation may not suit your individual preference.

Three of Endorfy’s Fluctus 120 PWM fans are pre-applied on the radiator, allowing a more straightforward install for the end-user. Rated speed for these 120mm fans is 250-1800 RPM via their 4-pin PWM control.

To further aid cable management and ease of installation, all three fans are daisy-chained together out of the Endorfy facility. This means that a single 4-pin extension cable – as supplied in the accessory bundle – can be used to power and control all three fans from just the motherboard CPU header.

Endorfy uses a Fluid Dynamic Bearing inside the fans and there are clear optimisations on the blades to suit the pressure-biased use case.

Cable management for the Navis F360 cooler is good, and that is thanks in large to the pre-installed fan cables. Leaving the pump unit, you have a 4-pin PWM cable and a SATA power cable, though these aren’t particularly difficult to hide.

So, that just leaves the 4-pin fan extension for the main fans to be plugged in. And this is easily routed down to the rear side of the motherboard tray.

Warranty is just OK from Endorfy at 3 years. That’s not particularly great for a modern AIO cooler, as many of the top units offer 5-year warranties, but it isn’t too bad, either. Especially as the fans are rated 100,000 hours MTBF.

Installation was very quick and easy, thanks in large to Endorfy’s pre-applied hardware. All we needed to do was insert the threaded stand-offs into the default AM4 backplate. We then applied paste and positioned the pump-block unit, and once the spring and thumbscrew were tightened, the block was in position.

Pre-applied fans made radiator installation quick and simple, and then the reasonable number of cables was easy to route and deal with neatly.

Sharkoon is expanding its portfolio beyond cases and peripherals and into CPU coolers for the first time. Today, the company unveiled a trio of AIO liquid coolers, including the S70 RGB, the S80 RGB and the S90 RGB.

Each Sharkoon AIO liquid cooler offers addressable RGB PWM fans, a water block with a copper plate and flexible braided tubing. The S80 and S90 coolers take things a step further by shipping with high-quality DOWSIL thermal paste for more efficient heat transfer between the cooler and the CPU.

As you can see in the images above, there is another difference between the S70, and the S80/S90. The CPU block on the higher-end models has an infinity mirror effect, while the S70 has a glossy surface with an illuminated logo. On all three models, the CPU block can be rotated so that the logo and LEDs don't look out of place if you have a rotated motherboard in your case.

The S70 RGB and S80 RGB coolers are both available with a 240mm radiator, while the S90 has a larger 360mm radiator for those who need a bit more cooling power for high-end CPUs. The fans that ship with each cooler can be daisy-chained for easier cable management, and the fans have a maximum speed of 2000 RPM.

The Sharkoon S70 RGB AIO is available for €79.90. The S80 RGB AIO costs €99.90 and finally, the S90 RGB AIO cooler will sell for €129.90.

Normally I would leave the price information until the end of the review but with this AIO I feel the need to put it out there from the off. The 420mm Corsair iCUE H170i Elite LCD XT closed-loop CPU cooler costs a whopping £349.99 at launch, which to me seems like a lot to be forking out just for a CPU cooler. You could build an EKWB CPU-only custom loop with a Velocity² block and Quantum Kinetic D5 pump res combo for a similar price, which are excellent bits of kit.

Now we have that shock out of the way let’s look at what you get for your money with this LCD-equipped Corsair AIO. Packaging is typical of mainstream AIO coolers, it comes packed in a cardboard box with everything segregated inside a cardboard carton and wrapped in plastic bags. Not exactly the premium packaging we saw recently with the EK-Nucleus AIO, but it does the job. However, at this price, I think Corsair could do better.

Thankfully The build quality of the cooler looks to be of very high standard, everything has a sturdy feel to it. The radiator is constructed from Aluminium which is typical of AIO coolers. It has a very smooth and uniform black coating with a satin finish so it’s neither glossy nor matt, so not too bad at showing up fingerprints etc. there are chrome effect Corsair logos on either of the radiator’s long sides which is a nice touch.

Compared with previous versions of the Corsair Elite LCD series the XT has longer tubing at 450mm, made from low evaporation rubber with a nylon braided sleeving. Corsair claims that there has been some minor revisions to the pump/block but other than that it's very similar to previous Elite series coolers.

The pump block casing and detachable top cover that houses the 2.1” LCD IPS screen are manufactured from ABS moulded plastic. While at the base of the block is a skived copper cold plate featuring 128 micro-skived channels per inch. The cooler's base is used to connect the mounting hardware that just slides into position, which is handy for installation as it reduces installation time as there are no fiddly screws to deal with.

As mentioned the top cover containing the LCD panel can be detached from the base. Inside the cover are electrical connections for the pump. The display is an IPS Panel with 480×480 resolution and 30Hz refresh rate. Refresh rate can be adjusted in the iCUE software and so can the rotation of the display, but only when displaying a custom image or gif which is annoying as corsair said it would allow the software to rotate the display using the preset styles previously, but still isn’t implemented in the latest version of iCUE.

Another major change from the previous Elite LCD coolers is the fans that come with the Elite LCD XT range. Corsair has chosen the AF Elite fans to go with the Elite LCD XT series which is a change from ML Elite that came previously with the non-XT Elite LCD coolers.

AF Elite fans look similar to the ML Elite fans but with a different blade design. AF Elite fans have anti-vortex vanes on the rear which Corsair calls AirGuide technology just like the ML Elite fans. The anti-vortex vanes are designed to help concentrate airflow. AF Elite is equipped with a fluid dynamic bearing and has a PWM speed range of 500-1700 RPM with a zero RPM mode.

But does this mean that the LT series will continue DeepCool’s impressive thermal performance and exceptional value that we have come to expect? Let’s find out.

A conventional 27mm thick, aluminium radiator is used in the DeepCool LT series. As we have seen previously the radiator features DeepCool Anti-Leak Technology which helps to prevent leakage. The LT720 in this review uses a typical 360mm, 3 x 120mm fan radiator.

Anti-Leak Tech means that inside the radiator is an elastic pressure-relief bag with one side exposed to the air and the other side submerged in the coolant. When the internal pressure exceeds atmospheric pressure, the bag contracts to increase the system’s internal volume and reduce the risk of a leak.

Rubber hoses with braided sleeving are permanently crimped to the radiator in a fixed position. The overall length of the hoses is 410mm, which seems to be a generous length. At the CPU block end of the tubes are articulating 90-degree fittings which allow movement to aid installation.

DeepCool also includes two plastic tubing clips that freely slide up and down the tubes. The clips are there to help keep the tubing in line and are decorated with DeepCool moulded logos.

LT720 cold plate is constructed from copper with micro-skived fins typical of AIO liquid coolers. The large cold plate means that the LT720 is compatible with all current desktop platforms from AMD and Intel, including LGA1700 and AM5 as well as high-end desktop platforms such as AMD Threadripper.

A feature we have seen previously in DeepCool AIO coolers, such as the various iterations of the Castle, is the infinity mirror on top of the CPU block. DeepCool deploys this style again on the LT720 but on a larger and removable top cover.

The top cover is outfitted with several infinity mirrors partially covering three faces of the top cover, with RGB lighting effects being displayed on each. However, unlike most AIOs with removable top covers that can be rotated to suit the orientation of the CPU block, the LT720’s top cover can only be placed in one position.

Included with the LT720 are three DeepCool FK120 Fluid dynamic bearing fans. The FK120s are high static pressure fans with a PWM speed range of 500-2250 RPM, a maximum airflow rate of 85.85 CFM and low noise output at 32.9dBA and are controlled via a standard 4-pin PWM cable.

There is no illumination on the FK120 fans, but the CPU block is illuminated with RGB on several faces. The RGB cable connected to the CPU block has a standard 3-pin 5v ARGB connection which can be connected directly to motherboard headers or other ARGB controllers. DeepCool does not include a standalone RGB /fan controller hub with the cooler.

The reason that DeepCool doesn’t include standalone hubs is no doubt to keep costs down. The DeepCool LT series is very competitively priced, especially in today’s market. The LT720 is priced at a touch under £120 at launch and the smaller 240mm LT520 is under £105 which is outstanding value. DeepCool LT series also comes with a 5-year warranty.

Installation of the LT720 is very quick and simple. DeepCool includes an installation manual with the cooler that is easy to follow with clear illustrations, so even the most novice user shouldn’t find the installation difficult.

On AMD AM4/AM5 platforms you first remove the stock upper plastic cooler mounts but leave the stock AMD backplate in place as this will be retained for the DeepCool installation. AM4/5 brackets need to be fastened to the base of the CPU block with the small counter-sunk screws provided.

Next, screw the AM4/5 AMD stand-offs to the stock AMD backplate. The CPU block comes with some pre-applied thermal paste so the block can be placed onto the CPU and fixed in position using the four thumbscrews.

You then just need to install fans to the radiator and mount the radiator into the case in your preferred location. Daisy-chain the fans together using the supplied 3-way PWM splitter cable.

Finally connect the end of the daisy-chained fans to the motherboard CPU fan header, connect the 3-pin pump cable to another motherboard header (usually the CPU_OPT or AIO_PUMP header) and then connect the 3-pin ARGB cable to a motherboard header or your own ARGB controller hub.

Our friends at be quiet! are celebrating their 20th Anniversary in the traditional German manner by sending out boxes of PC components with an RGB theme. KitGuru decided to help the party along by adding the refreshments. The resulting video is a PC build that gets a bit chaotic towards the end. Happy birthday be quiet!

    Specification:

Case: be quiet! Pure Base 500 FX
Power supply: be quiet! Pure Power 11 FM 850W
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX 240
    Processor: Intel Core i7-12700K
Motherboard: MSI MPG Z690 Carbon WiFi
Memory: 32GB Kingston Fury Beast RGB 6000MT/s
Graphics card: Sapphire Radeon RX 6800 XT 16GB
SSD: Sabrent Rocket 4.0 M.2 NVMe
    OS: Windows 10

be quiet! sent us variants of a case, power supply and AIO cooler that we have previously reviewed so if you fancy doing some homework you can read about the be quiet! 500 DX case HERE, the be quiet! Pure Loop 360 AIO cooler HERE and the be quiet! Pure Power 11 power supply HERE. The big difference between the hardware in those reviews and the FX versions we are using here is the inclusion of be quiet! Light Wings fans which you can read about HERE.

The be quiet! 500FX case is a slender mid-tower ATX model and we expected we might run into issues with the DDR5 RAM clashing with the Pure Loop 2 FX 280 AIO cooler that we were sent for this sponsored build. As we mention in our video, if you hit that specific problem the easiest way out is to switch your RAM to a low profile model such as Corsair Vengeance LPX.

As we show in our video we ran into a slightly different problem as the 280mm AIO hit the VRM heatsinks on our MSI MPG Z690 Carbon Wi-Fi motherboard, which meant the radiator mounting holes were out of line by a couple of millimetres. The answer was to switch to a slimmer 240mm AIO however that required a degree of fancy footwork. The Pure Loop 240 cooler we had on the shelf is supplied with regular Pure Wings 2 fans and we needed RGB to supply the maximum bling for this birthday celebration. The answer was to add two 120mm Light Wings fans and voila, we had created our very own Pure Loop 2 FX 240 cooler.

Cable management in this compact PC is less than stellar. We are dealing with a large RGB/PWM fan hub and as a result the cables are all over the place. Thankfully the Pure Base 500 FX has a solid right hand panel and once the cables are all secured in place they are fully covered and out of sight.

The finished PC is neat and tidy with just the right amount of RGB on show. We have an illuminated CPU block in the be quiet! Pure Loop AIO cooler, six be quiet! Light Wings fans and an illuminated strip in the front of the be quiet! 500 FX case. The finishing touch is the mesh front panel on the front of the case which means you can see the full light show whenever you look at your PC.

To our way of thinking, this is a PC that deserves to sit on your desk in plain view and should certainly not be hidden away out of sight!

Mounting hardware and accessories are provided for all modern Intel platforms as well as AM4. You get some cables for handling the fans and connections, plus there’s a tube of Pactum PT-3 thermal paste which I always like to see included.

A pleasant surprise was the SilentiumPC pre-applied the cooling fans. This gives the user one less installation task – nice!

SilentiumPC uses a conventional 27mm-thick, 240mm-class black aluminium radiator, albeit with fins that don’t span the entire thickness. There is some form of fill/drain port on the unit, but this is not intended for user applications.

The liquid tubes are around 390mm in length and are covered by a high-quality, attractive braiding. Flexibility of the tubes is positive, especially when coupled with the reasonable degree of movement for the entry points at the pump-block unit.

A well-sized bare copper cold plate is used to extract heat from a CPU. Despite being bare copper in form, SilentiumPC highlights compatibility with liquid metal thermal interface material if you’re feeling fancy.

I prefer that the cold plate is void of pre-applied thermal paste, particularly as SilentiumPC includes a 1.5g tube which is sufficient for multiple applications.

Physically very chunky, the pump-block unit features integrated mounting hardware for the Intel and AMD platforms that this cooler supports.

This is a unique design as most competitors use brackets for mounting capability. I guess this has the benefit of ease of installation because it’s one less part to think about. But it does have the downside of making future upgraded support of new sockets a more challenging – perhaps impossible – task.

PWM control is used for the ceramic-bearing pump. This allows the unit to operate in a speed range of 1600 to 2600 RPM, which is ideal for noise output. Interestingly, there is no LED lighting on the pump housing, which feels like a bit of a missed opportunity for an ARGB liquid cooler.

The pair of Fluctus 120 PWM ARGB fans come pre-applied on the radiator. These fans are rated at a speed range of 300-1800 RPM via their 4-pin PWM control. The two fans are daisy-chained together on the radiator meaning that only a single 4-pin header is required to power them – that’s smart!

SilentiumPC uses a Fluid Dynamic Bearing inside the fans and there are clear optimisations on the blades to suit the pressure-biased use case.

As far as ARGB goes, control is handled via the standard 3-pin header and management is done by your motherboard vendor’s software. This means that there is no requirement for third-party or SIlentiumPC-specific software. And synchronisation with your other components should be seamless.

Given the smart daisy-chaining of the pre-installed fans’ cables, management is very easy. There’s just the pair of cables leaving the pump-block unit – SATA power and 4-pin PWM control. And then the 4-pin and 3-pin ARGB fan cables can be hidden easily behind the motherboard tray without sprawling across the CPU socket area.

Warranty is just OK on the £75 Navis F240 and the £85 Navis F240 ARGB. Three years for a modern 240mm AIO cooler is fine at this price point, albeit hardly inspiring. The fans are rated at 100,000 hours MTBF, which is also absolutely fine.

But competition namely from Arctic and Corsair is strong at below £90 and those two vendors offer 6-year and 7-year warranties, respectively.

Installation was very quick and easy, thanks in large to SilentiumPC’s pre-applied hardware.

DeepCool uses a conventional 27mm-thick, 360mm-class black aluminium radiator for the LS720. It is good to see the continued inclusion of DeepCool’s Anti-Leak technology on the radiator.

This is via the EPDM pressure relief bag that contracts to create a void when pressure rises to relieve the pressure inside the radiator. In theory, this helps to reduce the risk of leakage, which is a clear positive.

The 410mm-long braided tubes have a decent degree of flexibility to them. Alongside the flexibility of the tubes, there is also a reasonable degree of adjustment at the entry points to the block.

Two plastic cable guides are pre-mounted on the reasonably thick tubing. This is a nice quality touch by DeepCool.

One of the most simplistic benefits of DeepCool’s in-house pump/coldplate design is the avoidance of patent issues with the likes of Asetek.

The cold plate is bare copper with pre-applied thermal paste. DeepCool highlights support for modern Intel and AMD platforms including HEDT, and there’s also support in place for the upcoming AMD AM5 platform, too.

In typical DeepCool fashion, the pump-block unit is physically massive – it measures in at 86x74x57 mm. We wouldn’t expect too many interference issues outside of ITX or RAM either side like on HEDT, though.

DeepCool deploys the eye-catching Infinity Mirror display that features the brand logo on a plastic face plate. This face plate can be removed and rotated in 90-degree intervals to allow for correct orientation of the logo, irrespective of one’s installation preference. There’s also an additional blank plate provided that can be installed. This is provided to allow users some degree of customisation over the visual appearance on the plastic cover.

Two light loops project an eye-catching ARGB LED glow through the Infinity Mirror display.

The 4th Gen Pump is 3-pin 12V DC-powered by a 3-phase motor. It runs at a lofty speed rating of 3100 RPM but it is disappointing to see a less controllable DCrather than PWM – pump on a premium cooler such as this.

The trio of DeepCool’s FC120 fans feature translucent white blades that are optimised for static pressure performance. These 120mm fluid dynamic bearing fans operate at a speed range of 500-2250 RPM and are PWM controlled. The lack of a clear 0 RPM silent mode is disappointing for a premium cooler, though 500 RPM lower limit is likely fine for most usage.

What is a point of contention, though, is the proprietary connectors and cables that DeepCool chooses to use for combined fan and ARGB control. Some people are OK with proprietary, some people aren’t.

DeepCool does a very good job of implementing the daisy-chain system that carries fan speed and ARGB control with minimal cable clutter to the motherboard. And then the motherboard handles lighting control and synchronisation which means you don’t need to install additional vendor-specific software.

RGB lighting for the cooler’s fans and Infinity Mirror pump-block unit is absolutely superb. The lighting is bright, the colours are clear, and granularity is very smooth. I like the lighting on this cooler very much.

Back on the topic of cables, only a single 3-pin fan connector and a proprietary DeepCool connector emanate from the pump-block unit. This is ideal for minimising the sprawl of cables across one’s motherboard area.

Warranty is very positive for the £119.99 LS720, with DeepCool giving the unit 5 years of coverage. That’s excellent and compares nicely with the likes of Corsair and Arctic. The fans are rated at 50,000 hours MTBF, which is slim but is fine alongside a lengthy warranty.

Installation was a process that I found a little more frustrating and time consuming than it needed to be. For reference, this cooler took me about twice as long to install as a conventional Asetek competitor.

You first screw the appropriate brackets onto the bottom of the pump-block unit. But DeepCool doesn’t make is hugely clear that each bracket has a very specific position with respect to the tubing.

The default AM4 backplate is held in position with four of DeepCool’s thumbscrew stand-offs. The pump-block unit then sits on these stand-offs and is screwed into position.

Then the radiator and fans can be installed, the cables connected, and the DeepCool logo inside the infinity mirror display rotated as desired. I would recommend installing the fans on the radiator whilst it is still outside the chassis because the small proprietary cables and connectors are difficult to deal with otherwise.

The final step is to connect up the cables. DeepCool supplies break-out adapters that can be used to link SATA power, 4-pin PWM control, 3-pin ARGB, and the proprietary fans connections.

I thought the process was just a little more fiddly than the simple hand-twisted brackets used by Asetek and the conventional fan cables also used in general.

One thing I also want to note is that DeepCool does suggests there is a benefit to installing with tubes in the 6 O’clock position specifically on Intel platforms. We use an AMD platform, so 3 O’clock or 6 O’clock should be similar.

Back in February, Lian Li brought back its annual Digital Expo for 2022, unveiling new prototypes and upcoming products. Now, Lian Li has gone live with its Summer update, bringing us new looks at upcoming cases, next-generation UNI fans and a new Lian-Li AIO liquid cooler.

Starting off with the Lancool 216, this mid-tower features a rotatable I/O shield to enable different layouts for cooling. You can install the motherboard at a higher position for extra room for vertical GPUs and large CPU air coolers, or you can lower the motherboard and kit your case out with liquid cooling with support for thicker radiators.

Lian Li also unveiled the new DAN Cases A3 m-ATX chassis, delivering just under 20L in volume, support for up to a 360mm liquid cooling radiator. The case features a reversible frame for the option of choosing a left or right orientation. Depending on your configuration, the A3 m-ATX is capable of supporting SFX and ATX PSUs, 4 slot GPUs of up to 380mm in length (horizontal or vertical), up to a 360 All-In-One liquid cooler radiator or a 158mm tall CPU cooling tower, and two 2.5” SSDs.

The final case revealed is the O11D EVO XL, updated with features such as reversible design, multiple I/O module mounting points, and upright GPU support. The O11D EVO XL has a modular rear panel with a removable motherboard tray that combines the I/O shield and expansion slot, eliminating the need to relocate the motherboard standoffs when moving the motherboard up or down. This motherboard tray can be adjusted to 3 different positions, providing better flexibility for custom water-cooling configurations while maintaining E-ATX support. With the extra room, the O11D EVO XL offers the possibility for extreme cooling and hardware configurations with support for up to 3 x 420mm radiators.

The next three announcements are all cooling related. For starters, we have the new generation UNI Fans, including the SL120 and SL140 V2, the AL120 V2 and the new AL140. With a thicker frame at 28mm, the SL120 V2 and AL120 V2 deliver better thermal performance with an increase in airflow, static pressure, and even a lower noise level at similar or higher speeds than the original version. The UNI FAN SL120/140 V2 lighting has been updated to provide a smoother finish along the edges and a smaller gap between the diffuser when interlocked (from 2.8mm to 1.5mm).

The UNI FAN P28 has also been updated with new Silent Edition and Performance Edition models. The P28 Silent is a 120mm PWM fan with speeds of up to 1900 RPM and noise levels of 27.5 dBA, 3.04 mm H2O of air pressure, and 59.97 CFM of airflow. The P28 Performance is a 120mm PWM fan with speeds of up to 2300 RPM, a maximum of 33 dBA, 3.86mm H2O, and 71.27 CFM. With faster speeds and static pressure, the P28 Performance is optimised for radiators.

Finally, Lian Li has also begun building its own AIO liquid cooler, 100% designed in-house. The new 360mm AIO prototype comes with a 32mm thick x 130mm wide radiator, and is paired with performance-optimized 28mm thick fans. The unique pump block offers ARGB lighting and is compatible with other accessories, so you can further customise the look of your build.

We don't have pricing or launch dates for everything here just yet, but we should get more information in the months ahead. You can get a closer look at all of the prototypes in Lian Li's Digital Expo 2.0 video series, HERE.

Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru Says: What do you all think of Lian Li's new prototypes? That new AIO liquid cooler will be interesting to see once it is all finished and ready for market.

MSI has recently been made aware of an issue affecting MAG CoreLiquid 240R and 360R all-in-one liquid coolers. Due to an issue in a small number of these coolers, blockages are occurring, stopping them from cooling the processor as effectively as they should be. As a result, MSI has set up a replacement scheme, so if you have one of these coolers, be sure to read on.

Through investigation, MSI discovered that a “small portion” of MAG CoreLiquid 240R and 360R coolers can produce sediment, which can cause a blockage. This reduces the effectiveness of the cooler and can cause overheating issues. MSI has identified a batch of serial numbers of affected coolers and has rolled out a simplified replacement request process for those impacted.

If you have one of these coolers, you will need to get the serial number and enter it into MSI's cooler swap application page. If your serial number matches up, you'll be able to proceed with an advanced RMA. MSI will send out a prepaid FedEx shipping label along with a replacement CoreLiquid 240R V2 or 360R V2 cooler. All you'll need to do is swap out the cooler and use the prepaid FedEx label to send the old one back with its screws and brackets.

If you received one of these coolers inside of a pre-built desktop, then you may still be eligible for a replacement – but you'll need to enter the serial number for your PC and not the cooler itself. Users will also need to provide a full name, shipping address, phone number and email address when going through the RMA process.

You can find full details and check if you are eligible for a replacement cooler, HERE.

Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru Says: It is unfortunate when things like this happen, but MSI is handling it well and replacements should begin shipping out shortly for those affected. Do you use an MSI CoreLiquid 240R or 360R AIO cooler? Have you had any issues with yours?

The post Cooler Master MasterLiquid PL360 Flux Review first appeared on KitGuru.]]>
Cooler Master has a new MasterLiquid AIO on the market; the PL360 Flux. With this new model, the company is aiming for the high-end segment for closed-loop liquid cooling units. And it is gunning for that segment with the promise of high performance from its dual-chamber pump, 0 RPM mode on the new Flux series fans, and strong all-round RGB lighting.

The price tag of £179.99 puts the MasterLiquid PL360 Flux firmly into top-tier territory for 360mm AIOs, so let’s see if the overall package can deliver.

    Cooler Master MasterLiquid PL360 Flux

In terms of accessories, Cooler Master provides mounting hardware and accessories for all modern Intel and AMD platforms, including LGA 1700 and Threadripper. Adapters and cables are supplied for use with the fans as well as the Addressable Gen 2 RGB Controller hub.

I like that Cooler Master provides a tube of thermal paste instead of pre-applying it. This is personal preference that also has maintenance benefits.

Cooler Master uses a conventional 27mm-thick aluminium radiator, albeit with fins that don’t fill out the entire thickness of the radiator housing. As usual, the entire radiator is coloured black for a sleek appearance (and possible thermal benefits). There is a fill/drain port near the tubes, but this is for warranty purposes, not user maintenance. There is also a PL240 Flux 240mm version if the 360 is too big for you.

Looking at the tubes, Cooler Master uses a sleek, braided cover to shroud the underlying hoses. Flexibility is a positive as there is rotational adjustment where the tube connections enter the block. And the tubes themselves also have a good degree of manoeuvrability with respect to creating angles from your chassis mount to CPU heatspreader.

The copper cold plate is tiered in its external form. This is fine as the size of the direct CPU heatspreader contact section is appropriate for most platforms, with the exception of Threadripper. A potential benefit of this tiered cold plate design is that there is simply greater volume for the copper to occupy. This can have the benefit of allowing higher fin surface area within the block design, thus opening the possibility of enhanced heat transfer.

Cooler Master’s dual-chamber pump is 12VDC powered with a consumption rating of 6W. We couldn’t find information on the pump operating speed as our motherboard suggested 9000 RPM and the spec sheet doesn’t confirm anything. We did, however, see some suggestion of around 3300 RPM pump speed in the review guide.

The modestly-sized, 40mm-tall pump unit is quoted as having a MTTF of greater than 210,000 hours. I like that Cooler Master has kept the design sleek, not in-your-face, and reasonably sized. This sleekness does, however, mean that there is no pump-mounted VRM fan, which is a little disappointing given the hefty £180 price tag.

There are two zones of RGB lighting and a reflective top cover which features that Cooler Master logo and can be manually rotated to the correct angle.

Cooler Master does very well to keep the pump-unit cables to a sensible quantity. Just the 4-pin power connection for the pump, as well as the 3-pin ARGB header, are leaving the block unit. This is great for front-side cable management, especially as those cables are also nicely braided.

The trio of 120mm Flux series fans feature interconnecting blades, like we saw from Sapphire’s Nitro+ S360-A competitor. This has the added benefit of strengthening the overall blade structure and thus potentially minimising noise-creating vibrations. The fans are rated at 0-2300 RPM and can actually operate down to 0 RPM, which is good to see, albeit of questionable use on an AIO liquid cooler. Nevertheless, that is a positive speed range especially with the conventional 4-pin PWM connection and control.

ARGB lighting on the fans is handled by a series of LEDs and a braided 3-pin ARGB connector. This is ideal for compatibility with the main RGB software tools from motherboard vendors.

I like the inclusion of rubber pads on each corner of the fans. This has the simple benefit of damping noise-causing vibrations.

With greater than 210,000 hours quoted MTTF for the pump, and greater than 160,000 hours quoted MTTF for the fans, Cooler Master gives the MasterLiquid PL360 Flux a warranty of 5 years. This is solid and is absolutely as we would expect for a £180 AIO liquid cooler.

AM4 installation was clear and straightforward. The default AMD backplate and plastic retention clips are used. This means that the AMD bracket can simply be connected to the pump unit, and then the clips are screwed over the default AMD retention bracket lip.

Other than the process of forcing the clip into position – which is always annoying for the default AMD bracket – the install is easy and quick.

Connecting the fans and cables is a bit more time consuming though, especially as the manual makes it a little difficult of a process to follow. This is simply because there are differing installation approaches. And which approach you choose depends on whether you want the motherboard to have full fan control, if you want the Cooler Master Addressable Gen 2 RGB box to act as a splitter, and how you want to run the RGB management.

Eye-catching RGB lighting is certainly a strength for the MasterLiquid PL360 Flux. I think the styling is smooth, the colours are clear, and the LEDs themselves are bright. I also like that there are a couple of lighting zones added in the pump area, so it’s not just the fans that get lit.

We opted for Cooler Master’s own MasterPlus+ software for RGB control. While certainly not as in-depth as Corsair’s iCUE (what really is?) the CM software seems to do a reasonable job.

You get the ability to set different RGB modes and, more importantly, there is individual control for the several LEDs on the fans or pump cover or Cooler Master logo. That final point is a level of granular control that most motherboard vendor software packages will not offer.

Aside from the relatively simple lighting control, though, the MasterPlus+ software doesn’t really offer much else in the way of useful functionality. So, if you are happy with your motherboard RGB synchronisation tool, I don’t really see the need for you to rush out and install MasterPlus+.

It's a big day for NZXT, as the company has announcing a slew of new hardware, including the H510 Flow, new Kraken AIO coolers and new 80Plus Bronze rated power supplies. The Kraken family refresh will see these coolers available in white for the first time, meanwhile the new C-series power supplies offer a semi-modular design and Bronze efficiency at entry-level prices.

We'll start off with the biggest announcement on the list – the HS10 Flow. This new chassis from NZXT brings improved ventilation thanks to its perforated front panel, allowing more cool air to be drawn in through the front fans, which should have a positive impact on thermals throughout the system. Other features include a tempered glass side panel, USB 3.1 Gen2 USB-C connector on the front panel, a cable routing kit with pre-installed channels and straps, and a removable bracket for installing an AIO cooler with up to a 280mm radiator.

Next up is the Kraken refresh, bringing new white versions of the Kraken X63 RGB 280mm AIO, the Kraken X73 RGB 360mm AIO and the Kraken X53 RGB 240mm AIO. The Kraken Z series is also getting some attention, adding AER RGB fans as an option for some models.

Finally, we have the new C Series Bronze power supplies, which as the name suggests, are 80Plus Bronze certified. While these are entry-level power supplies, they still have a semi-modular design, which goes a long way to keeping the system tidy. These power supplies will be available in 550W, 650W and 750W models, each coming with a five year warranty.

The NZXT HS10 Flow case will be available soon for £89.99. NZXT Kraken AIO liquid coolers start at £74.99 for the 120mm version, going up to £259.99 for the 360mm Kraken Z73, although the X73 is considerably cheaper at £199.99. Finally, NZXT's C Series Bronze power supplies will be available starting at £64.99 for the 550W version and going up to £84.99 for the 750W version.

Phanteks has not one, but two big launches today. Not only are we seeing the release of the T30-120 cooling fans, aiming to be the best 120mm fans on the market, but Phanteks is also launching the new Glacier One 240 T30 AIO liquid cooler.

Developed in collaboration with SUNON, the new Phanteks T30-120mm fan incorporates liquid crystal polymer material to achieve “unprecedented cooling performance and acoustics”. The fan thickness has been increased to 30mm and the fan blades are now 25 percent larger, resulting in higher airflow performance and a better noise to airflow ratio. This is all done with just 0.5mm clearance between the fan blade and the inner frame, which reduces turbulence and further improves noise output.

These fans will be available separately, but they'll also be shipping with the new Glacier One 240 T30 AIO liquid cooler. Utilising a thicker 38mm radiator, this cooler aims to deliver the performance you would expect from a 360mm AIO cooler, but in a smaller 240mm package.

Other features of the cooler include flexible braided tubing, Tube Clips for routing cables, and support for most major sockets all the way up to Threadripper. D-RGB lighting is included and Intel's upcoming LGA Socket 1700 will be supported at release through Phanteks' customer service.

The Phanteks T30-120 fan will be available as a single unit, or in a triple pack, for £25.99 or £74.99 respectively. The Glacier One 240 T30 cooler will be available for £149.99 via Overclockers UK.

Cooler Master is back in the news today with a new series of coolers- the MasterLiquid Illusion. These new coolers boast vibrant RGB lighting, paired with Cooler Master's excellent MasterFan MF120 Halo fans.

To complement this, the cooler also ships with MasterFan MF120 Halo fans, which have 24 dual loop individual LEDs per fan, resulting in one of the most colourful AIO liquid coolers to date.

It's not all about glitz and glam though. The MasterLiquid Illusion series packs a 3rd Gen Dual Chamber Pump for enhanced cooling performance, as well as 240mm and 360mm radiators to tame the heat generated by high-end CPUs.

Here is the full feature list for these new Cooler Master MasterLiquid Illusion coolers:

The post be quiet! Silent Loop 2 240mm AIO Cooler Review first appeared on KitGuru.]]>
The Silent Loop 2 is be quiet!’s first deployment of ARGB in their AIO liquid cooler line-up. In typical be quiet! fashion, though, the lighting is kept subtle and somewhat discreet rather than flashy and in-your-face. We take a look at how the new 240mm unit performs.

Fundamentally, be quiet! suggests that the Silent Loop 2 is designed for solid performance with quiet operation. While this is obviously ideal for most coolers, some aim for lower noise and some for higher performance. But be quiet! looks to be emphasising a balance between noise and performance.

One unique feature is the inclusion of a refill port to extend the lifespan of your cooler, and be quiet! encourages topping up the fluid after two years of operation.

Available in 120 / 240 / 280 /360mm iterations, we are testing the 240mm version. The be quiet! Silent Loop 2 240mm version is priced around £120 in the UK with availability from early April and with a 3-year warranty.

    Specifications and Features:

    • 240mm, 27mm-thick aluminium radiator
    • 2x120mm be quiet! Silent Wings 3 High-Speed PWM fans
    • 2800 RPM 3-pin DC pump unit
    • Nickel-plated copper cold plate with over 120 micro fins
