Mario Kart Tour has always been an interesting addition to Nintendo's library, with the mobile-exclusive title doing many things better than Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – but also a whole bunch worse. Following 4 years of support and updates, Mario Kart Tour will no longer be getting any new content after October.

Making the announcement via the game’s news tab, Nintendo announced that Mario Kart Tour will soon cease development, saying: “Thank you for playing the Mario Kart Tour game. This message is to notify you about the tours that are scheduled for the future.”

They continue, “From 10/04/2023 (Wed) on [4th of October], tours will consist of content from tours that have appeared before. Note: No new courses, drivers, karts, or gliders will be added following the Battle Tour starting 10/04/2023 (Wed). We hope you continue to enjoy playing Mario Kart Tour.”

As mentioned, Mario Kart has been a bit of an anomaly for the franchise and Nintendo. While some of the game’s mechanics – such as the driving itself – feels nowhere nearly as good as its console counterpart, Tours was supported with a great deal of content including new characters, tracks, vehicles and more.

In total there are more than 250 playable characters in Mario Kart Tour, with over 100 tracks to race on – making it by far the most content-rich entry in the series. It will be interesting to see what else Nintendo has planned for mobile devices in the future.

With each new season, Epic Games have continued to evolve Fortnite in a bunch of ways, including adding whole new game modes, mechanics and more. According to one leaker, the upcoming 5th Chapter of the live-service title will include a racing mode with very similar mechanics to that of the racing juggernaut Mario Kart.

As reported by Fortnite leaker ‘NotJulesDev’ during the first Season of Fortnite’s upcoming 5th Chapter the game will get a brand new racing mode. According to the insider, many of the mode’s racing mechanics will be similar to that of Mario Kart 8, including drifting and a drift boost; oversteering; and an initial boost at the start of the race if ‘accelerate’ is held at the right time.

Other various features and mechanics set to be added include some form of demolition upon the collision of cars; vehicle handling will be altered by the terrain you are racing on (such as mud and ice); and last but not least you will be able to perform mid-air tricks and activate “supersonic-speed.”

This new upcoming permanent game mode is said to launch with 12 casual maps, 4 competitive tracks and a time trial – alongside a tutorial for all these new mechanics.

Ever since the addition of the very first vehicle to Fortnite all the way back in 2018 (a shopping cart), Epic Games have continuously improved and evolved vehicles with each new season, adding cars, boats, planes and a whole lot more. It will be interesting to see how this upcoming racing mode is received – and whether these improved mechanics will also find their way into the mainline battle royale modes.

During last month’s Nintendo Direct the console manufacturer gave fans their first look at the 4th wave of DLC for the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass. At the time, the DLC was announced to be coming at some point during the Spring. Now however, we have a proper release date as well as the full line-up of tracks.

At the most recent Nintendo Direct the company gave fans their first look at the 4th wave of DLC, showing off an original track in the form of Yoshi’s Island while also announcing that the 4th wave will bring with it a new character from prior entries in the series: namely Birdo. Now, the console manufacturer has released a second trailer announcing the full line-up of tracks:

  • Singapore Speedway (Tour)
  • Bangkok Rush (Tour)
  • DK's Snowboard Cross (Wii)
  • Riverside Park (Super Circuit)
  • Amsterdam Drift (Tour)
  • Mario Circuit (DS)
  • Waluigi Stadium (Double Dash)
  • Yoshi's Island (Original)

Last but certainly not least Nintendo revealed that the 4th wave of DLC is a mere week away, launching for all on the 9th of March. Each new Booster Course wave seems to be better than the last and the 4th wave proves this trend. Hopefully this jump in quality continues.

Mario Kart 8 has had a highly interesting life. Beginning as a Wii U Game with some DLC, it was then ported to the Switch. For years, that was it…until we got the Booster Course Pack, adding 48 new tracks. Interestingly, the upcoming 4th wave of DLC will be the first to bring with it new characters – but it won’t be the last.

When Nintendo first announced the Booster Course Pack, fans were promised 48 new tracks – most of which hailed from previous games. The first 3 packs released in such a fashion. It therefore came as quite a surprise when Nintendo revealed that Birdo will be dropping into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as part of the upcoming 4th wave of DLC.

As discovered and translated by ResetEra user ‘–R’ the Japanese Mario Kart 8 Deluxe website confirms that the 4th wave will not be the sole pack to receive new characters, stating that each of the remaining 2 packs will also feature additional characters.

It is worth noting that the website states that these characters will – like the tracks – hail from previous entries in the series which means we have a known number of potential characters – those being:

  • Diddy Kong
  • Donkey Kong Jr.
  • Funky Kong
  • Honey Queen
  • Koopa Paratroopa
  • Pauline
  • Petey Piranha
  • R.O.B
  • Wiggler

After years of no updates, Nintendo in a surprising move announced earlier this year that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe would be receiving multiple waves of DLC, bringing 48 additional tracks to the game. Alongside these courses, Nintendo has also been bringing quality-of-life improvements to the game – with players now finally able to customise which items appear during races.

One of Mario Kart’s unique selling points is the fact that alongside racing, players can engage with one another through the acquisition and use of power-up items available on each track. For years however, players had little input regarding what items are available for use, with there only existing 3 options: All Items, Frantic Items, or No Items.

In a surprising update, Nintendo announced that “A new Custom Items feature is now available for all #MarioKart 8 Deluxe owners via a free update. Use it to choose which items appear in offline VS Races and certain online modes!”

That is not all however, as in team-based races you can even customise which items appear on a per-team basis, meaning the possibility for creative match-ups has been infinitely expanded upon.

While such a feature would have been nice to have at the game’s launch, the extra tracks, alongside this added customisability, has given Mario Kart 8 Deluxe a major boost to its longevity.

Lootboxes have become a cursed word within the video games industry, with many developers shying away from the exploitative and manipulative practice of including such gacha elements into their games. One of the games which still use loot boxes is the free-to-play Mario Kart Tour. Fortunately, Nintendo has now announced that they will be completely removing lootboxes in an upcoming update.

Making the announcement on Twitter, the official Mario Kart Tour account said “Here's a peek at #MarioKartTour's update coming late September! Battle mode will be added, along with a Spotlight Shop, where you can exchange rubies for drivers, karts, and gliders! Also, pipes you can fire by using rubies will be removed. See the notification for details.”

Instead of loot boxes, Mario Kart Tour used pipes, though they functioned in the exact same way as lootboxes and so them being removed is a welcome change for the mobile title. It seems these pipes will be replaced by the Spotlight Shop, allowing you to manually select which character/kart/glider you want to purchase.

We do not yet know the full details on how this shop will work and so it is possible that players will simply be able to purchase any character at any point in time. Alternatively the team could be taking the Fortnite model, where characters are put on sale for a limited amount of time and for varying prices.

Regardless of how it is implemented, knowing what you are purchasing before you purchase it is a purely positive move and so it is encouraging to see Mario Kart Tour heading in that direction.

While Sony has over time adopted a more multi-platform approach to its game development, Nintendo has remained rather rigid with its own first-party titles. The exception to this rule has been with the mobile market, where Nintendo has translated some of their franchises into mobile experience. It seems that one of these mobile titles – Mario Kart Tour – might actually be coming to PC.

As reported by ResetEra user MondoMega, a recent update to mobile game Mario Kart Tour has been datamined, offering insight into Nintendo’s future plans for the title. The game itself looks to be getting some rather significant additions and improvements, from new courses to a battle mode, and even the inclusion of anti-gravity. Furthermore, it seems Tour will in some way connect to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – though for what purpose we do not yet know.

Perhaps the most interesting detail however is a text string which hints at future PC support. According to MondoMega, mouse support has been added to the game as well as references to support for ‘Native Emulation’. This is most likely related to an upcoming service by Google which will see Google Play Store apps and games officially playable on PC through emulation.

It seems Nintendo is gearing up for this service, and while Mario Kart Tour coming to PC is certainly less exciting than if 8 Deluxe were to find its way onto Steam, any steps by Nintendo – no matter how small – into the PC market is a welcome one indeed.

One of the biggest missed opportunities by Nintendo in the eyes of fans was the fact that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe did not get any DLC for the Switch – aside from the new content inherent to the Deluxe Edition. In a completely surprising move, 5 years after the Switch version, and almost 8 years after the Wii U release, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is set to see nearly 50 new tracks added to the game.

Nintendo recently hosted its first Direct for the year, announcing a large variety of games, updates and expansions. One of the biggest surprises was the reveal that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe would be getting 48 new tracks.

These tracks – dubbed as being part of the ‘Booster Course Pass’ – will be released in 6 waves of DLC from the 18th of March up until the end of 2023, and will include remastered tracks from across the entire series.

While some fans may be disappointed at the fact that there are no entirely new tracks, some of the DLC will hail from the mobile-exclusive Mario Kart Tour, meaning that there will be some previously unseen tracks for those who have not played the mobile entry.

The first wave of DLC, which releases on the 18th of March, brings with it 8 tracks, 3 of which include:

  • (Wii) Coconut Mall
  • (N64)  Choco Mountain
  • (Tour) Tokyo Blur

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is by far the best selling Switch game, and so while adding DLC to the title makes sense, the timing is unusual. Many fans have been calling for a Mario Kart 9 announcement, but with 8 Deluxe getting DLC until the end of 2023, it’s safe to say that Mario Kart 9 is years away.

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe ‘Booster Course Pass’ is available to purchase for £22.49 or alternatively it will be free with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription.

The Switch has been an interesting system for Nintendo, as not only has the console manufacturer got themselves a device with record breaking sales, but is also seeing the same for its software. Perhaps the number 1 example is Mario Kart 8, which has now sold a total of 50 million copies.

Nintendo recently released its Quarterly sales data, revealing that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has sold 43.35 million copies on the Nintendo Switch. This is a huge figure which continues to cement Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as the best-selling Nintendo Switch game.

What’s more, however, is the fact that when combined with the Wii U’s original release of Mario Kart 8, the title/s have sold a total of 51,810,000 copies. This makes Mario Kart 8/Deluxe the 7th best-selling game of all time, only behind Super Mario Bros; PUBG; Wii sports; Tetris; GTA V and Minecraft.

Nintendo continues to offer Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for full price, and people keep on buying it. With the game still selling like hotcakes, and Nintendo claiming that the Switch is still only half way through its lifecycle, it will be interesting to see just how many copies Nintendo sells when all is said and done. It is possible the game could crack the top 5. Of course, the release of the inevitable Mario Kart 9 could affect this – though when Nintendo plans on announcing it is anyone's guess.

The Nintendo Switch seems to have a magic effect on any first party game released on the system. In the case of many franchises, the Switch releases prove to be the series’ best selling. Such is the case with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which has now beaten Mario Kart Wii for the no.1 spot on the podium.

Nintendo recently released their latest sales data, revealing that more games than ever are selling in the multiple dozens of millions. One of these games is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. With 38.74 million copies sold, the latest Nintendo cart racer has outsold Mario Kart Wii, the previous record holder (which had sold 37.38 million copies).

This feat is even more impressive when realising that the Switch game is merely a port of the Wii U version – albeit with some minor changes and additions. When accounting for the Wii U copies sold, Mario Kart 8 as a whole is at 47.2 million copies, which would not only make it by far the best-selling game in the franchise, but also the 8th best selling video game of all time.

Within the past 12 months, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold just shy of 10 million copies (9.7m), meaning that if it continues at its current trajectory, the game could possibly crack the top 5 best-selling games of all time list. Even though they have no reason to, hopefully Nintendo announces Mario Kart 9 soon.

The Mario Kart series is one of Nintendo’s most well known and successful. Each entry of the kart racer is consistently one of the best selling games on that platform. With the success of the Switch, it was clear that Mario Kart 8 would be a major title. As of the latest fiscal report however, the latest entry in Mario’s Kart racing series is its best selling, with over 40 million units sold across the Switch and Wii U.

Nintendo recently released its latest fiscal reports. Alongside the reveal that the Switch has surpassed the 3DS with almost 80 million units sold, the console manufacturer updated its list of best selling games. With 33.41 million units sold, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continues to be the Switch’s best selling game.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is of course an enhanced version of the Wii U title ‘Mario Kart 8’ and so when combined with the sales of the game on Wii U (8.45 million units), Mario Kart 8 as a whole has now become the best selling entry in the entire franchise, with 41.86 million copies sold in total.

Previously, this position was held by Mario Kart Wii, which sold 37.38 million units. Considering the fact that the Switch and Wii U combined have yet to surpass the total console sales of the Wii, Mario Kart 8 deluxe is in a excellent position currently – and with the game continuing to sell very well each month, it’ll be interesting to see just how many copies are sold when all is said and done.

When Mario Kart Tour was first announced, one of the most interesting decisions by Nintendo was to make the mobile racing title playable only in portrait mode. As the game races towards its first anniversary, players who prefer a wider field of view can now play Mario Kart Tour in landscape.

In an update video titled “Race in portrait or landscape, your choice!” Nintendo announced that players will be able to play Mario Kart Tour in both landscape or portrait starting from today, the 21st of July, saying “Players will have the option of racing in either the existing portrait mode or the new landscape mode! Landscape mode includes a new control layout, so find your favorite way to play!”

Based on the trailer, it appears as though selecting landscape or portrait will have no effect on who you’re matched with. Instead, as stated by Nintendo, you can simply “find your favourite way to play.”

Mario Kart Tour first launched for Android and iOS in September 2019 to mixed reviews, due in part to its gacha system, as well as its lack of true multiplayer. Since its launch, Nintendo have consistently updated the game with new characters, maps, vehicles, seasonal events, and even real-time multiplayer.

Though it is unlikely that Mario Kart Tour will ever replace a dedicated console Mario Kart game, the addition of a landscape mode does bring the title that much closer to reality.

Mario Kart Tour initially launched in September 2019 to a great deal of buzz surrounding it. Bringing the iconic series to smartphones could have allowed for everyone to experience the best of Mario Kart. Unfortunately the game launched with a number of issues such as its control scheme, gacha mechanics, and a lack of true multiplayer. Now Nintendo is finally addressing one of these issues as the game’s multiplayer update is set to go live on the 8th of March.

Making the announcement on Twitter, the Mario Kart Tour page announced that you can now “Race against players worldwide to raise your grade under rules that change daily in Standard Races and Gold Races. When racing friends or others nearby, Rooms let you pick speed, item slot number, and more. Play your way when #MarioKartTour multiplayer launches Mar. 8, 8 PM PT! [4am 9th of March UK time].

Back in December, Mario Kart Tour hosted a multiplayer beta period, though it was only accessible to those who were subscribed to the £5/month Gold Pass. A second beta occurred near the end of January which was open to all. Real-time multiplayer is now finally officially arriving to the game, and will allow you to play with up to seven players both locally and online.

Though controls for the game are still much more simplified when compared to its console counterpart, it’s good nonetheless to see one of the game’s most requested features finally come to fruition. Mario Kart Tour was the most downloaded game on iOS in 2019, so it’ll be interesting to see how the launch of the multiplayer update will affect the game’s user base.

The Mario Kart series is without a doubt one of Nintendo’s best selling franchises. Since the release of the Switch port of the Wii U entry in 2017, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been a consistent performer in the charts – nowhere more so however than in France. As the Switch celebrates its 3rd anniversary, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe celebrates its position as the no.1 best selling game in the country for the 9th week in a row.

S.E.L.L. which stands for Syndicat Des Editeurs De Logiciels De Loisirs, are responsible for tracking the weekly sales of video games in France. The Nintendo Switch has proven to be a huge hit in the country, with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe being especially loved. For the 9th week in a row, the cart racer has been the no. 1 best selling video game across all platforms. Furthermore, the top 5 best selling titles are all Nintendo Switch exclusives.

The top 5 best selling games are:

  1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  2. Ring Fit Adventure
  3. Luigi’s Mansion 3
  4. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  5. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020

In the UK, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe still performed admirably, with the racer remaining at no. 6 in the boxed charts. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is currently by far the best selling title on the Switch, with almost 23 million copies sold. This is especially impressive when you consider the fact that the game is merely an enhanced port of the Wii U title which was released in 2014.

With the game continuing to perform so strongly across the board, it’ll be interesting to see if and when Nintendo decides to finally announce Mario Kart 9, and whether it will be able to outsell Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

2019 has been a great year for video games from beginning to end. We’ve now passed the last full week of the year, so we’ve also got our final top ten weekly video game chart for the year, with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare unsurprisingly leading the way.

As reported by Gamesindustry.biz, this chart is going to be the last one supplied by GfK. Over the years, GfK has tracked the weekly best selling games at retail, meaning digital sales aren’t counted. In 2020, chart tracking will switch over to GSD, which tracks physical sales as well as digital sales from publishers that choose to share that information. Unfortunately, notable publishers like Bethesda and Nintendo don’t share their digital sales numbers, so not all digital games are counted, but it is still a good step forward compared to physical-only tracking.

Now without further ado, here is the last GfK top ten video game chart, marking the week ending on December 27th:

  1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
  2. FIFA 20
  3. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
  4. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
  5. Luigi’s Mansion 3
  6. Grand Theft Auto V
  7. Borderlands 3
  8. Just Dance 2020
  9. Pokemon Sword
  10. Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled

Borderlands 3 And GTA V managed to push back into the top ten for the final week of the year. The top five games on the list all managed to retain their same positions compared to the week before.

Just Dance 2020 has slipped from 7th place to 8th, while Pokemon Sword has slipped from 6th place to 9th. Crash Team Racing has managed to maintain its position in the 10th slot.

Starting next week, we’ll be getting charts that include physical and digital sales, so it will be interesting to see how things shake up.

KitGuru Says: Nintendo has taken up several slots in the top ten all year, with Mario Kart 8: Deluxe being a particularly consistent performer. Did any of you pick up a new game this week? What did you end up grabbing?

Mario Kart Tour is Nintendo’s fastest ‘selling’ mobile game, amassing over 123 million downloads in its first month. This is a significantly stronger performance compared to its second fastest selling, “Super Mario Run” which saw only 21.8 million downloads in its first month.

Despite having the most first month downloads (Pokémon Go doesn’t count as it was published by Niantic, although it garnered 163 million downloads) Mario Kart Tour was second in first-month revenue. The Karting game received $37.4 million in revenue, compared to Fire Emblem Heroes, which despite only receiving 9.7 million downloads in its first month, gained $67.6 million in that time, according to SensorTower.

The success of Nintendo’s mobile efforts has varied widely from franchise to franchise. Gamesindustry.biz notes that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, for example has achieved only 31 million downloads to date. Super Mario Run, on the other hand, sits at 236 million downloads.

Mario Kart Tour itself launched to middling reviews, with complaints targeted at its controls, as well as the litany of gacha elements spread throughout the entire experience. It seems that in spite of these issues, the strength of the Mario Kart brand has given the game a significant boost – at least in its first month.

It’ll be interesting to see whether Nintendo is able to maintain the momentum that the game is currently enjoying, or if it’ll stagnate soon after, like many of Nintendo’s mobile attempts.

KitGuru says: Did you download Mario Kart Tour? What did you think of it? Do you find the gacha elements to be too intrusive? Let us know down below.

Nintendo has been the punching bag of the home console world for the past couple of years, with people poking fun at the slow uptake of the Wii U and the fact that many of the major third party developers haven't deigned to port their games to the system. While hardly nice, it was fair criticism as the Wii U really did struggle out of the gate, despite its year long lead in ahead of the other major console makers. But now it's all starting to turn around and Nintendo is projected to triple its profits by the end of the year.

Much of Nintendo's resurgence in the past six months can be put down to Mario Kart 8's strong outing, garnering positive press for its console and reminding people that the Wii U's library of games is somewhat unique to its system. Compared with The Xbox One and PS4, which have the odd exclusive, Nintendo's games, while less hyped, are quite different.

Super Smash Bros sales have helped continue the wave of growth for the Wii U, as well as – to a lesser extent – Hyrule Warriors, with both titles reviewing well among critics and the public.

Amiibo are projected to give Nintendo a big financial boost over the next six months

Thanks to these popular titles, Nintendo is expected to sell more than 3.6 million Wii U systems by the end of the year, which, combined with predictions of strong sales of Nintendo's new Amiibo line of NFC enabled figurines, is projected by Bloomberg, to give it a 300 per cent increase in profit, reaching some 37 billion yen (£200 million).

If this turns out to be true, it will be excellent news for Nintendo, since it validates its strategy to remain somewhat removed from the console bickering between Microsoft and Sony, which has ultimately seen Sony come out on top with its PS4 console. Instead of attempting to compete with those two, Nintendo has positioned itself as a secondary system, making it quite likely that a lot of console gamers will pick it up as well as one of the others.

Of course these predictions could turn out to be wrong, but considering Smash Bros sold over half a million units in the first few days of release in the US and Mario Kart 8 is still selling well, that seems unlikely. Amiibos are also becoming hard to come by, as retailers sell out and the Gamecube adaptor for the Wii U is almost impossible to find for under $100 right now.

KitGuru Says: Quite an impressive turnaround for Nintendo, but it will need to keep it up if it wants to maintain that momentum. What's next? Zelda and Starfox next year.

Yves Guillemot, the chief executive officer of Ubisoft, said in an interview that while the Nintendo Wii U game console is behind its competitors in terms of performance and graphics quality, it could still be successful at the right price. Essentially, the head of a major publisher asked Nintendo to lower the price of the Wii U once again.

Ubisoft was among the strongest supporters of the Nintendo Wii U when it was released in 2012. The company released eight titles to support the launch, but when it turned out that demand for the console was considerably lower than expected, it reduced its investments into the platform and asked Nintendo to reconsider the price of the system to make it more popular. While Nintendo did slash the price of the premium version of the Wii U last autumn, the installed base of the console is still low, which is why publishers do not want to release new titles for the Wii U right now. At present there are games for the Wii U that Ubisoft simply put “on the shelves” till there are more consoles sold.

“We are coming with Watch Dogs and Just Dance this year,” said Yves Guillemot in an interview with CVG. “We also have another game on the shelves that we expect to come at some point when there will be more machines. Yes, that game is waiting for more machines to be available. With Mario Kart, Wii U made one step and we expect with Smash Bros. it will also do more.”

nintendo_wii_u_black

At present sales of Nintendo Wii U are growing thanks to the release of the Mario Kart 8 game in late May. Other first-party titles will further improve adoption of the console by gamers. Nonetheless, Mr. Guillemot still believes that the system is too expensive and needs a price-cut.

“If Nintendo put the right price on the machine then they will probably have a chance to do further,” said the head of Ubisoft.

Traditionally, platform holders are not eager to cut prices of their consoles. Still, if the installed base of the Wii U (6.17 million units at present) remains to be below Nintendo’s own targets, it is likely that the company will proceed with a price-cut later this year.

Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru Says: While price-cuts usually help to drive sales, in case of Nintendo’s Wii U everything is a bit more complicated. The console needs games in order to get popular; whereas games are delayed because not enough consoles have been sold.

Yesterday Nintendo announced the Mario Kart 8 Limited Edition bundle, the announcement was made through a new video on the Nintendo UK YouTube channel which showcases exactly what is included in the £60 collectors edition.

The main addition to the bundle is the spiny shell which will arrive on a stand inside the box. However, if you pre-order from GAME UK you will also receive a Mario Kart 8 branded Wii U racing wheel peripheral.

However, if collector edition's aren't your thing and you're more interested in getting the game cheaper then Nintendo is running its own eShop offer, those who buy the SNES Super Mario Kart game from the eShop as a Wii U Virtual Console title, will get £5.49 off of the digital version of the game, although eShop prices aren't always that enticing. Mario Kart 8 releases on the 30th of May for the Wii U and will include up to twelve player online as well as all new maps.

KitGuru Says: Collector/Limited editions aren't usually my thing but that GAME offer doesn't seem that bad, are any of our Wii U owning readers going to pick up Mario Kart 8?
