While Star Wars Outlaws was expected to launch in early 2024 at one point, the game was delayed to later in the year. However, the game may still arrive well before the holiday season, with recent developments indicating a release date announcement is coming soon.

Star Wars Outlaws has now been rated in both South Korea and Australia, brandishing a ‘Mature' rating from Australia's classification board. As Insider Gaming points out, this would be roughly equivalent to a ‘Teen' rating from the ESRB.

Typically, ratings like this pop up a few months ahead of a game's release. It has previously been claimed that despite delays, the game is being planned for the first half of this year. These recent ratings support that idea.

If true, then Ubisoft will be revealing more of the game and starting its marketing push quite soon, ahead of a potential June release. With that said, Ubisoft has never been shy about delaying projects, to the point where announced release dates often can't be trusted, so we'll have to wait and see how it goes. On the positive side, we have not heard anything about development troubles with this project, so it could be progressing well and ahead of schedule.

KitGuru Says: May the 4th is coming up and typically, Disney likes to use this date to make announcements for Star Wars projects across all forms of media, from film and TV to comics, books and games. With that in mind, it seems highly likely that we'll get release date news around that time.

May 4th is here and with it a plethora of unofficial Star Wars celebrations, including GOG’s huge classic Star Wars video game sale. To kick off the festivities, the platform has resurrected Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer, a 1999 title that originally released for PC and Nintendo 64 before falling out of circulation quite some time ago.

Despite the harsh criticism that the prequel trilogy gets, with its first iteration in particular taking the brunt of the flack, its podracing elements were hailed as one of the highlighting factors. This translated well to the racing game, pitting players in a high speed environment with a choice between 21 different racers and a variety of 21 tracks across 8 worlds.

GOG has brought the title back to life, complete with cloud save support, controller support and, of course, completely DRM-free. Early buyers will get a launch discount of £6.09/$8.49 from its original £7.09/$9.99 pricing.

The remaining titles total just over $100 combined, with the sale running across the weekend through until Tuesday. Particular highlights include Star Wars: Battlefront II Classic, in which GOG revived its multiplayer servers last year, Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR), which has amassed a cult following and for good reason, and Shadows of the Empire, which gives players a much-needed RTS take on the beloved franchise.

  • Star Wars: Battlefront II Classic – £2.39/$3.39
  • Star Wars Empire At War: Gold Pack – £4.89/$6.79
  • Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga – £5.99/$7.99
  • Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy – 2.39/$$3.39
  • Star Wars: Republic Commando – 2.39/$$3.39
  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition – £5.09/$6.79
  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II – £5.09/$6.79
  • Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds Saga – £1.49/$2.03
  • Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars – £5.99/$7.99
  • Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast – 2.39/$$3.39
  • Star Wars Rebellion – £1.49/$2.03
  • Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic – £2.39/$3.39
  • Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords – £2.39/$3.39
  • Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D – £2.89/$3.99
  • Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II – £1.49/$2.03
  • Star Wars: Dark Forces – £1.49/$2.03
  • Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire – £1.49/$2.03
  • Star Wars: TIE Fighter Special Edition – £2.89/$$3.99
  • Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance – £2.89/$$3.99
  • Star Wars: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter – £2.89/$$3.99
  • Star Wars: Rebel Assault 1 + 2 – £2.89/$$3.99
  • Star Wars: X-Wing Special Edition – £2.89/$$3.99
  • Star Wars Starfighter – £1.69/$2.39

KitGuru Says: It still makes me laugh that the unofficial Star Wars holiday was born out of the awful pun of ‘May the 4th be with you’, but I guess it’s to be expected that publishers will seize any opportunity to market the lucrative franchise. Which is your favourite title of the classic selection? Are you happy to see Episode 1 Racer come back to life?

If you run a major competition 3 times a year and name it according to how many times you've run it, then almost any numbnutz can work out that Multiplay's i45 event is a milestone.

KitGuru dons a black hoodie, opens a can of Taurine-enhanced Kick Energy drink and prepares to fit right in.

Bank Holiday weekends affect everyone different. For many poor bastards, the start of May means the start of full-on-no-holds-barred nagging season. Every single DIY job that you've put off since last autumn will come running out to haunt you. Whether you're the target of the abuse itself or simply an off-spring caught in the “Well, get out to B&Q and buy it then!” crossfire, the thought of a relaxing day or four at the Telford International Centre – with nothing on your mind but pure hardcore fragging – must seem like a dream.

True to their word last year, PC World and Currys have continued to sponsor the event, while the actual list of sponsors itself is longer than many an arm and it includes a who's who of companies that are serious about gaming and gamers.

While you ponder that, here's a list of the good souls that helped make i45 possible. Think good things about them – for they are the best of the best with pure hearts and clean souls:-

Give these people love. They do good work. Honest.

Alongside the mega competitions for big bucks, you will also be able to see the Grand Final of the ASUS Masters of Overclocking Event in Association with KitGuru. Can't wait to see which two lucky sods walk off with the first prizes of Asus-built Ivy Bridge OC rigs.

Well worth the visit. Telford is easy to get to and the event rocks. What more do you want?

KitGuru says: There's no better gaming gig in the UK than Multiplay's Insomnia series and the 45th edition promises to be the best yet. Even if you go along as a spectator – it's still very much worth while – but if you're a gamer then it's a dream come true event.
