When the Xbox Series X was first announced, many fans noted how the console’s rectangular and vertical nature made it look similar to a conventional kitchen fridge. In the wake of these comparisons, Microsoft has now announced that you can soon buy an official (and working) Xbox Series X mini fridge for a relatively affordable price.

Making the announcement on their blog, Xbox’s Aaron Greenberg said “What started as a viral meme became a life-size reality when we created the world’s first-ever, fastest, and most powerful Xbox Series X Fridge, a 6-foot, 400 pound, 1:1 scale replica of our beloved console. But we didn’t stop there. After an all-out Twitter war and battle of the brands, Xbox came out on top with your votes, so we vowed to make your mini fridge memes a reality.”

The mini fridge is actually quite an impressive piece of hardware, with LEDs embedded in it to make it glow the classic Xbox green colour. While maintaining the design elements of the console itself, the mini fridge is able to hold up to 12 cans across two shelves – making it significantly larger than an actual Xbox Series X.

One ‘cool’ feature added is a USB port on the front of the fridge, allowing you to charge your phone, controller, or other device. Releasing in December, the Xbox mini fridge will be available for preorder on Tuesday the 19th of October. UK buyers will be able to snag one up from GAME for the – relatively – affordable price of £89.99.

The Xbox Series X’s polarising design certainly proved to be controversial when it was first announced, and while Microsoft could have ignored the criticisms and the memes, it is nice to see them embrace the fun.

We're not in the habit of linking up any old YouTube videos, but something will land on YouTube inside the next 24 hours that is likely to be a phenomenon and we wondered where you stand on the issue of bullying?  KitGuru links up the tricky situations.

UPDATE: The promo video that we linked to was pulled down yesterday when the real videos started streaming, so we have updated the link.

When we're sat behind our keyboards gaming, we're all a combination of Jackie Chan, John Wayne and Bruce Willis – no challenge too serious – no odds to great. It's honour above all else and we never run from a fight.

While we all like to think we'd go marching in – what would you do in reality?

This preview video managed to attract close to half a million views in its first few hours online – and we expect an explosion to follow.

Whether in the street or online, bullying impacts the lives of millions, which brings up the question – What would you do to stop it?

It's all well and good having lightning-bolt-special-moves in Street Fighter, but the real world is a lot more gritty – with real consequences for any action, including ‘doing nothing'.

[yframe url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EisZTB4ZQxY'] KitGuru says: Polling around the office suggests that most KitGuru staff are of the ‘wade right in and sort it out' breed, but most of us grew up in an era where physical conflict was more readily accepted and – probably – you were less likely to be knifed. How does the keyboard generation stack up?  Where do you stand?
