LEGO 2K Drive isn't your average racing game. Instead of a straightforward racing game where you fight to be the first to cross the finish line, LEGO's new racing game takes a more “adventurous” approach, offering an open world to explore.

IGN was the first to publish the story, but it has since been taken down, possibly due to breaking the embargo. Published by 2K and developed by Visual Concepts, LEGO 2K Drive is described as an open-world AAA driving adventure game where you can drive street racers, off-roaders, or boats. Besides cars from some LEGO collections (LEGO City, Creator, Speed Champions), you can also build one yourself using the over 1,000 LEGO pieces the game has to offer.

The upcoming title offers both single and multiplayer game modes and features an actual story that will let you explore various biomes, races, minigames, and challenges. In multiplayer, you can play against up to six players or cooperatively with friends. Local split-screen multiplayer is also present.

The game will be available in three editions. The Standard Edition will go for $69.99 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and $59.99 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. Then, there's the Awesome Edition for $99.99, which includes a new vehicle, vehicle flair, an in-game mini-figure, and the Year 1 Drive Pass. Lastly, there's the Awesome Rivals Edition, priced at $119.99 and featuring multiple vehicles, a vehicle flair, multiple in-game mini-figures, and the Year 1 Drive Pass.

All pre-orders include the “Aquadirt Racer Pack,” which has the Aquadirt Racer Street Car, Off-Road Car, and Racer Boat. This pack is included in the Awesome Edition and Awesome Rivals Edition regardless of pre-order. The game will be available on May 19th.

KitGuru says: Although they belong to a franchise known for letting you build whatever you want with tiny blocks, most LEGO video games lack such mechanics. Contrary to those, this one allows us to create something in a sandbox-like environment, something that could captivate LEGO fans to try it even if they aren't into racing games.

Cross-platform GPU benchmark software can help compare the graphical capabilities of various GPUs across different devices, but not many support the latest GPU technologies. Thankfully, Basemark has announced a new GPU benchmark to fill in that gap.

With full support for the major operating systems, including Android, iOS, Linux, macOS and Windows, Basemark's Sacred Path is the world's first cross-platform GPU benchmark featuring the latest technologies like Variable Rate Shading (VRS). That makes it a valuable tool for software and GPU vendors, device manufacturers, and the IT media.

Like the previous entries to the GPUScore trilogy (Relic of Life and The Expedition), Sacred Path has been developed to function as a QA tool with a laboratory-like environment for precise results. The new benchmark software was created alongside partners, such as Samsung, Nvidia, MediaTek, Imagination Technologies, Broadcom, ARM, and Qualcomm, to ensure the product's quality, reliability and correct usage of the latest graphics technologies.

Basemark's latest benchmark tool is now available to download here for free. You can currently download it for Windows 10/11, Android 11+, iOS 15+, macOS 12+, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and Linux Flatpak.

KitGuru says: Do you think there should be more cross-platform benchmark software to test systems' and components' performance regardless of the platform they run on? Will you try Basemark's new benchmark tool?

The post ASUS TUF Gaming H5 Wired 7.1 Headset Review first appeared on KitGuru.]]>
In this review we take a look at one of the peripherals from ASUS' TUF lineup. The TUF name originally appeared on a range of motherboards, and now with the start of the TUF Gaming Alliance there has been a shift to create an entire range of more affordable TUF components. The H5 is a multi-platform wired headset with 7.1 virtual surround sound, a dual microphone setup and a stainless steel headband design.

It uses the same grey and yellow colour scheme that is a staple of the TUF family, but is this headset worthy of the TUF name and can it justify the £79.99 asking price?

Specifications:

 • Connector: USB, 3.5mm connector Audio/mic combo
 • Platform:PC,MAC,Mobile device, PlayStation® 4, Xbox One®
 • Driver diameter : 50 mm
 • Driver material : Neodymium magnet
 • Microphone: Uni-directional
 • Impedance: 32 Ohm
 • Frequency Response (headphones): 20 ~ 20000 Hz
 • Cable Length: 1.2 meter
 • Accessories: Detachable microphone: Quick start guide

Microphone:

 • Microphone boom : Uni-directional
 • In-line Microphone: Omni-directional
 • Frequency Response of Microphone boom:100 ~ 10000 Hz
 • Frequency response of In-line Microphone: 50 ~ 10000 Hz
 • Sensitivity of Microphone boom: -40 dB
 • Sensitivity of In-line Microphone: -45 dB

The ASUS H5 TUF Gaming headset can be found for £79.99 on Amazon HERE

Pros:

 • Multi platform compatible.
 • Decent audio quality.
 • Lightweight and comfortable.
 • Good range of adjustability.
 • Industrial design matches well with TUF lineup.
 • Removable boom microphone & inline microphone.

Cons:

 • Braided cable is poor, and too short.
 • Virtual 7.1 surround only supported on PC.
 • Build quality doesn't feel “TUF”.
 • A little more headband padding would be beneficial.
 • Toggle for 7.1 surround is hard to reach when plugged into back of a PC.
 • Microphones are poor.

KitGuru says: Overall the H5 has acceptable sound quality and is comfortable to wear, but apart from the colour scheme we aren't sure this really fits in with the TUF family.

A little while back we reported on Mighty No. 9 hitting $2.2 million on its Kickstarter campaign and would now come to current generation consoles. Since then, Mighty No. 9 has shot up to $3.5 million and as a result, it will come to next generation consoles as well as the 3DS and PSVita.

The Mighty No.9 team have also released a 13 second video showcasing some gameplay with placeholder animations, giving backers an idea of how the game is going to look and turn out.

Mighty No.9 is expected to release in 2015, updates will be provided throughout the development process. The Kickstarter will finish tonight as the most successful Japanese Kickstarter ever. If you want to contribute you'll have to do it before then (update: the campaign has now closed at $3.845 million).

One last push might reveal that last mystery box and bag those last extra couple of features.

The press team behind Mighty No. 9 also recently released figures telling us that $57.58 was the backing average and that the campaign brought in 1,700 new backers per day, making around $97,000 every 24 hours.

KitGuru Says: Mighty No. 9 is shaping up nicely, but all of these extra versions could affect release dates. I wouldn't want to see one particular port pushed back a year in order to prioritise other versions. Have you backed Mighty No. 9?
