It looks like Warner Bros, Rocksteady and Nvidia's own team of developers are close to finally getting Batman: Arkham Knight up to scratch on the PC. As a result, the game will soon be available to buy once again on Steam and the final patch should launch for those who already own the game.

An interim patch for the game was released a few weeks ago, which greatly improved the options menu but didn't fix everything. This new patch will bring in some final performance updates and add in support for multiple graphics cards from both Nvidia and AMD.

Warner Bros didn't make a big announcement out of this, so it could easily be missed. The tidbit of information was buried in an announcement for new skin DLC for the game on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. At the end of the press release Warner Bros noted: “The PC version of the game will be available in the coming weeks.”

We examined the Arkham Knight PC port back when it first launched. We will be revisiting it once the final patch comes out to see if the game is running as well as it should be after a few extra months of development.

KitGuru Says: Quite a few people (myself included) have been waiting until the final patch to properly play Arkham Knight. Hopefully things will be working as they should be after the last few months of extra development time. Have any of you been waiting to play Arkham Knight? Did you suffer through the issues and beat it anyway?

Ubisoft ended up delaying Assassin's Creed: Unity's major performance fixing patch last night as the publisher has suddenly decided that “Rigorous quality control is of paramount importance”.  It seems that the development team wasn't quite hitting the performance target it was hoping for with the new patch and is now in the process of ‘refurbishing' the Paris map.

We don't know exactly what the developer means by refurbishing the map but hopefully it won't cause any more problems. In a blog post, Ubisoft wrote that: “Rigorous quality control is of paramount importance to us, and your feedback over these past weeks has indicated that it is important to you as well”.

That's some mighty fine quality control you have there, Ubisoft.

The live blog update then goes on to say that: “We are committed to delivering major performance improvements, which requires that we refurbish the Paris map and that will take a few more days to hit the high level of quality our players deserve.”

Hopefully the massive backlash Ubisoft has received this year will be a wake up call- the company needs to treat its games better, it needs to treat gamers better and it needs to start listening to feedback and making changes.

KitGuru Says: Ubisoft needs to look back at this year and make some serious changes. It will take some effort, but hopefully the company is willing to take on feedback and earn back a decent reputation. Do you guys think Ubisoft could turn things around next year? Will it take longer for gamers to trust the company again?
