Sapphire is locked and loaded for today's RX 7700 XT and RX 7800 XT launch. The company has unveiled a new line-up of Sapphire Pure graphics cards for launch.

AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT and Radeon RX 7700 XT graphics cards are built on the AMD RDNA 3 architecture offering superb performance designed for gamers and creators. The new Sapphire Pure edition cards are encased in a new white shroud with coloured accents, built to be durable and effective for gaming systems. These new GPUs will offer boost clock speeds of up to 2475MHz on the RX 7800 XT and 2584MHz on the RX 7700 XT.

The SAPPHIRE PURE AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT and Radeon RX 7700 XT graphics cards are equipped with the tried and true Tri-X Cooling solution, ensuring that thermals are spread out and remain low. The Angular Velocity Fan Blades create a double layer of downward air pressure to aid in quieter operation and are constructed with Dual-Ball Bearings for greater lifespan.

Aside from the new Sapphire Pure models, there will also be Nito+ and Pulse versions of the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT. In fact, if you want a closer look at a Pulse model, it features in our RX 7700 XT launch review, which you can read HERE.

The Sapphire RX 7700 XT Pulse will go for £419.99, the Pure model will cost £439.99 and the Nitro+ will be the most expensive at £469.99. The RX 7800 XT Pulse will cost £479.99, the Pure model will cost £499.99 and the Nitro+ model will cost £519.99.

Sharkoon is well-known for offering PC gear and peripherals at reasonable prices. This week, the company is expanding its repertoire with a new monitor riser stand, complete with an integrated USB hub and a wireless charger, so you can drop your phone on top and keep it juiced up while you play games or get work done.

There are two versions of this monitor stand hitting the market. The Sharkoon Monitor Stand ‘Pure' is a little taller, creating extra storage space underneath the riser to stash away cables, a keyboard and mouse or other accessories. Meanwhile, the Sharkoon Monitor Stand ‘Power' comes with a built-in USB hub and wireless charging station.

Both stands support a more ergonomic sitting position by raising the screen and free up some extra space on top of the desk as it raises a monitor's built-in stand above your keyboard/mouse. This is particularly useful for smaller desks, as some gaming monitor stands can be especially bulky nowadays.

The Power version's wireless charging station uses a contact surface on the top, right side of the stand. So if your smartphone supports wireless charging, all you will need to do is place it down and the stand will do the rest. The USB hub also gives you four extra USB ports, which can always come in handy.

Both versions are available now, with the PURE going for €19.99 and the POWER going for €44.99.

KitGuru Says: This won't be for everyone but I am sure there are more than a few readers out there that would find something like this useful. I could do with some more desk space and USB ports myself. Do any of you use a monitor rising stand at all? Would you consider getting one with extra features like a USB hub and wireless charging?

As gamers, most of us are used to sitting at our PCs for long periods of time but depending on what chair you have, it isn't always the most comfortable experience in the world. That is where Nitro Concepts steps in with its new line of C80 Carbon Class gaming chairs, offering plenty of adjustability and ergonomic support.

GAGC_001_1g

There are three chairs in the C80 range, the C80 Comfort, the C80 Motion and the C80 Pure, all of which are available in a range of colours including Black, Blue, Red, Orange, White or Green.

GAGC_003_9g

The C80’s are equipped with a sturdy steel frame mounted on top of a five-star-base. There is 360 degree swivel rotation, adjustable seat height thanks to a class 4 gas lift and there is a rocking mechanism for those that like to lean back a bit.

GAGC_005_7g

For comfort, each chair is equipped with breathable faux leather. The C80 Comfort chair uses extra thick moulded foam for longevity while the C80 Motion chair is larger and has moveable arm rests. The C80 Pure takes things a step forward with a perforated seating surface cover.

If you are in the market for a new gaming chair, then you can check out the full Nitro Concepts' C80 range, HERE.

KitGuru Says: People will have differing opinions on this but I find that having a decent chair is very important for anyone spending a lot of time at their desk. Particularly if you care about your back and posture. Are any of you looking to get a new chair?

While gaming as a whole covers a broad spectrum of genres and styles, there is one common theme that exists throughout a large percentage of titles: that human beings love playing at war. Which is perhaps why Roccat went for this camouflage green colour scheme for its latest edition of the Roccat Kone Pure, combining a relatively modest 5,000 DPI optical sensor with its usual high-end background software for customising your mousing experience.

With such a range of gaming rodents for sale how does this one stand out among its Roccat contemporaries? Let's see if we can find out.

As the second mouse from Roccat's updated Kone series to hit our labs, the Kone Pure looks to offer the same excellent gaming performance as its sibling – the Kone XTD – while reducing the physical dimensions and retail price. Does the Kone Pure have what it takes to impress as much as the ‘Must Have' Kone XTD did?

Packing an 8200 DPI Pro-Aim laser R3 sensor and a 32-bit Turbo Core V2 72MHz processor into a form factor that is 91% the size of the Kone[+], Roccat's Kone Pure targets gamers that lust for a mouse that has the ability to offer outstanding performance while maintaining a sleek, user-friendly style.

Accompanying the Kone Pure during testing will be Roccat's Hiro gaming mouse pad. The surface's large 350 x 250 x 2.5mm size and vulcanised silicone surface give gamers a good degree of free movement that is required when contesting at the highest levels.

Is the Kone Pure a worthy addition to Roccat's flagship series? And is the Hiro gaming surface its perfect partner?

Specifications:

Just slightly ahead of Mobile World Congress next week, Nokia has posted up a rather curious and alluring video on its YouTube channel that hints at some sort of big announcement they have on the cards for next week's event.

The brief video merely whispers at this time that we need to “Get ready to capture a pure view” and be prepared for “Pure Depth”, “Pure Detail” and “Pure Definition”. One thing we can be clear on here is that whatever Nokia has in store for us, it's touting something that is supposedly a big step away from anything it's released in the past. It could be a super high quality and / or Megapixel camera the handset maker is planning to add to several future models, or perhaps even an Windows Phone-wielding N8 successor of sorts.

Whatever it may be, we will know in a week's time and will be sure to report back on what is hopefully something that really gets Nokia right back into the smartphone picture.

KitGuru says: If you were considering a Lumia 900 you might want to hold off for a bit just to see what you may end up missing out on. The smartphone market in general is about to get a good shake-up.

AMD launched their Lynx platform a couple of weeks back and we had a look at the top-end Vision A8-3850 APU and the Asus F1A75-M Pro motherboard in detail over here. We were very impressed with the overall performance of the platform, especially when factoring in the excellent graphics capabilities.

Today we are going to look at Sapphire's first attempt at a Lynx motherboard, the Pure Platinum A75. As it's name suggests, this sports the top-end A75 FCH (Fusion Controller Hub) and, as a result, it boasts an impressive specification which includes an array of SATA 6G ports and USB3.0 support. Unlike the Asus motherboard we looked at, the Sapphire A75 makes use of the full-size ATX form factor, rather than Micro ATX.

We have looked at a couple of Sapphire's motherboards in the past and have been left with generally positive impressions. Is the Pure Platinum A75 another strong release from AMD's largest partner?

It's always nice to be surprised. We operate in a mature industry, where the truly inspirational products occur infrequently. So when we picked up a couple of emails about Pure PC and Darwin, we decided to do some investigating. Here's what we've found so far.

First you need an architect who is nuts about race car design. Then you need a boutique PC manufacturer in the US of A that wants to try and do something a little different. Marry the Darwin Machine design with the Pure PC production team and you get a very interesting system.

Pure PC has used Darwin's design to offer power ports as decoration
Never know when you might want to slice up some 4x2 timbers for an extension
Beautiful or not, it's refreshing to see people trying something different

.

What does KitGuru think is the coolest statistic from the Pure PC web site?

The guarantee that your rig will boot from BIOS to Windows 7 in 3.98 seconds.

Why do we like it?   Well, Pure PC could have picked anyone of dozens of numbers – but they have intelligently chosen the one which sounds most like a super car's acceleration to 60mph.  Nice.

KitGuru says: Looking at this Darwin Machine design, we could not help thinking about noise and dust. Well, you will be glad to know that the brains behind this evolutionary chassi design company, Matthew Kim, is already working on a new design that will be slightly smaller and in a slightly more enclosed chassis. KitGuru's waiting with baited breath.
