We've not seen as many free game promotions with graphics cards this generation, likely in part due to the major stock shortages preventing many gamers from upgrading in 2021. At this point, availability has vastly improved and we're finally starting to see some deals. This week, Nvidia has begun offering free copies of Doom Eternal and its expansions, as well as Ghostwire: Tokyo, with certain graphics card purchases.

Nvidia's “Face Your Demons” campaign arrives this week, offering £100 worth of games when picking an RTX 3080 powered laptop or desktop, or an RTX 3080, RTX 3080 Ti, RTX 3090 or RTX 3090 Ti graphics card.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is an Action-Adventure FPS developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda. The game is set in the city of Tokyo after a series of paranormal events made 99% of the city's population disappear without a trace. With a 76 OpenCritic score, most critics praise the game's atmosphere and visual design.

On the other hand, Doom Eternal barely needs any introduction. Following the success of the 2016 reboot, the sequel is one of the best single-player shooters in the last couple of years, currently sitting at an 89 OpenCritic score. Both The Ancient Gods DLCs parts were not as highly rated as the base game. However, they still bring extra content worth playing, especially if you enjoy Doom's game design.

The promotion will run from July 12th to August 1st or while stocks last. Only purchases made after July 12th will be eligible to earn game codes (Steam). You may redeem your code by September 1st.

As Leo was wrapping up his Razer Blade 15 review this weekend, something peculiar was noticed. For some reason, the laptop was being sold at £200 more on Razer's own website compared to UK retail. We pointed this out to Razer, who then corrected the pricing, but were disappointed to learn that there will be no refunds for anyone that paid the original price.

The laptop in question is one of Razer's top end, the Blade 15 with an Intel Core i7-12800H processor, 32GB of DDR5 memory, an RTX 3080 Ti GPU and a 360Hz display. As we were wrapping up our review, we asked Razer why the laptop seemed to cost £4,099.99 on its own webstore, versus £3899.99 on UK retail sites like Scan. Ultimately, the price disparity came down to an discrepancy on Razer's part and was later corrected, as you can see in the screenshots below:

Razer's official statement on the matter is as follows: “Razer noticed a pricing inconsistency between Razer.com/GB and UK retailers for our current generation of 2022 Blade laptops, which has now been corrected”.

While the mistake might be corrected for new buyers, anyone who purchased this laptop in the UK last week through Razer directly versus a retailer, will have paid an extra £200. Razer has not offered to reach out to buyers to make up for the difference, either through a partial refund, or in the form of store credit, which doesn't sit right with us.

This wasn't a case of a promotion happening at another retail site, resulting in a discounted price. It was a legitimate pricing discrepancy that Razer has acknowledged and as such, we believe the company should make it right with those early customers.

Right now, we don't have any sales figures for this particular laptop, so it is possible that nobody purchased one through Razer in the UK yet, although the listings have been live for a while now, so we'd imagine at least a few units have sold.

You can see our full review of the Blade 15 (2022) on YouTube. Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

As announced at CES, this month will see the launch of the first RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti powered laptops. Just in time for launch, Nvidia is rolling out new Studio drivers with support for both new GPUs.

Unlike Nvidia's GeForce drivers, Nvidia Studio drivers are released less frequently and are aimed at creative professionals who need the upmost stability. The February Nvidia Studio driver update begins rolling out today, acting as the first to support the new RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti laptop GPUs, and packing enhancements to boost performance in creative apps.

One of the biggest performance enhancements included in this release paves the way for faster performance using the Maxon Redshift RT renderer, which utilises the RT cores found on RTX GPUs to speed up workflows in Cinema 4D, Autodesk Maya and other applications.

Naturally, the new Studio driver also supports some of the very first RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti laptops, like the new Razer Blade 17 and 15, the new Razer Blade 14 (coming later this month), the Gigabyte Aero 17 and 16 and finally, MSI's Creator Z16 and Z17 laptops (coming in March).

The February Nvidia Studio driver will be available to download later today.

KitGuru Says: Do any of you use Nvidia Studio drivers rather than the more frequently released GeForce drivers?

Today alongside CES 2022, Corsair has launched the new and improved Corsair One i300 ITX gaming PC, packing an Intel Core i9-12900K processor and DDR5 memory with speeds starting at 4400MHz.

The new Corsair One i300 packs the latest and greatest from both Intel and Nvidia. For the processor, you can have up to a Core i9-12900K, and up to 64GB of DDR5 memory. For graphics, you can opt for an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 or RTX 3080 Ti depending on your budget.

As usual, the Corsair One comes in its patented 12-litre case design, making it similar in size to an Xbox Series X console, but with much more power under the hood. For cooling, Corsair has a liquid cooling system in place for critical components, so temperatures should remain in check throughout lengthy gaming sessions despite the system's small size.

The system also incorporates two Thunderbolt 4 ports, allowing for up to four 4K/HDR displays to be connected simultaneously. You can learn more about the Corsair One i300, including pricing and availability, HERE.

KitGuru Says: The Corsair One has been well reviewed for years now and somehow, Corsair is able to up the ante each generation with the highest-end gaming hardware available. What do you all think of the new Corsair One i300?

The post AMD Ryzen 7 5800X / Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti System Build first appeared on KitGuru.]]>
In keeping with the laid-back Christmas feel, today KitGuru is bringing you a new build video for you all to sit back, watch in comfort and relax while it's cold outside. Just like your Christmas turkey, I have stuffed this system full of high-end hardware and added a small splash of RGB lighting to keep the Christmas spirit alive.

Recently a friend of mine asked me to build him a new gaming system which normally wouldn’t be a problem. However, in the current climate with the extortionate graphics card prices, it took me a while to put together a spec that was affordable and also available. After a few days with various stock informer Discord notifications being sent, I finally settled on an RTX 3080 Ti (not the best value for money, but needs must and all that) that was in stock so I grabbed it at almost £1490 (ouch).

With approximately £2500 to spend on the whole system (which would normally sound like a very healthy budget), we set about picking the rest of the parts for this system. The RTX 3080 Ti took up a big share of the budget, but I managed to get what I think is a pretty decent spec gaming system and should hopefully give him a few enjoyable years of gaming with solid graphics performance.

System Specification:

Luckily my friend isn’t too fussy with how his systems look, but there were a couple of requests regarding aesthetics. A black case had to be used and RGB should be kept to a minimum, so pretty simple overall. I think I managed to fulfil those requests as you can see the build turned out to look quite stealthy, with its mostly black interior and just the graphics card adding a splash of colour from the RGB lighting effects.

There are a couple of things worth mentioning about the build. I didn’t get the chance to review the Corsair 4000D case series when it was launched, Leo had the pleasure of that but I have to say that now I have built a couple of systems in the 4000D it feels like a great budget case. I am also glad that Corsair chose to use plain black fans in the 4000D as the look worked perfectly with the theme of this build.

KitGuru says: Overall I was very pleased with how this build turned out, minimal RGB lighting and the stealthy black interior is pleasing to the eye. I think I did pretty well with the spec for the budget available in the current market. What do you guys think of this £2500 build?

In recent years, Nvidia has been shining a spotlight on overall system latency and the benefits of using software and hardware to reduce latency to improve individual performance in games, particularly in first-person shooters. This week, Nvidia is launching the System Latency Challenge, which you can now take part in to win prizes including an RTX 3080 Ti graphics card and a 360Hz gaming monitor.

Before we get into the competition details, let's run through a quick explainer on system latency. If you've ever played a game where it didn't feel responsive enough, then this would be down to high latency. System latency is the delay between your mouse or keyboard actions and the resulting pixel changes on the display. The higher your system latency, the more delayed in-game actions will be from the moment you press a key or mouse button.

In partnership with Kovaak's, one of the best pieces of ‘aim training' software around, Nvidia is launching the System Latency Challenge. You will find these challenge modes in Kovaak's, which is currently a free download on Steam from December 14th to December 21st. In the software, you can go through two types of test, a ‘latency flicking' test and a ‘latency frenzy' test, with each being a 1-minute test with various levels of simulated input delay.

Upon completing the tests, you can submit your results and earn a spot on the leaderboard – although to get on the official leaderboard, you will need a GPU that supports NVIDIA Reflex, which will help provide more accurate results.

Nvidia will be selecting 27 winners from the leaderboard randomly. We've been hearing plenty of rumours about Nvidia's new GPU plans for early 2022, including mention of an RTX 3080 Ti SKU for laptops. Now, we seem to have confirmation of this GPU, thanks to the latest AIDA64 update.

AIDA64 is a well-known and often used benchmarking and system monitoring software. We use it for a huge range of our hardware reviews for example. Typically, AIDA64 gets updated with support for upcoming PC hardware ahead of release and that is no different with AIDA64 v6.60.

The patch notes for the new AIDA64 update include:

  • AVX-512 and AVX2 accelerated benchmarks for Intel Alder Lake and Raptor Lake
  • Improved support for Intel Raptor Lake CPU and DDR5 memory modules
  • Support for DDR5 XMP 3.0 memory profiles
  • Microsoft Windows 10 21H2 November 2021 Update support
  • Microsoft Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022 support
  • Preliminary support for Intel Meteor Lake CPU
  • GPU details for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 12GB and GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop

Aside from support for the recently launched RTX 2060 12GB, this update also adds support for the upcoming RTX 3080 Ti for laptop, which we expect to see announced at CES in January. We also see support added for future Intel CPU architectures, like Raptor Lake and Meteor Lake, in addition to new Windows 10 and Windows 11 updates.

You can download the latest version of AIDA64 yourself, HERE.

KitGuru Says: There are some interesting pieces of info in this week's AIDA64 update. We should have more information on some of this stuff next month, following CES 2022.

For months, PC hardware enthusiasts have struggled to find graphics cards in stock at MSRP prices, but there may still be hope for our UK readers. This week, KitGuru learned that Asus has set up a promotion, which will see TUF series RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti graphics cards sold at MSRP through at least two etailers.

Both ebuyer and Overclockers UK will be participating, with future stocks of the Asus TUF GAMING RTX 3080 Ti (ebuyer, OCUK) and RTX 3070 Ti (ebuyer, OCUK) graphics cards being sold at their MSRP prices – £1049.99 and £529.99 respectively. Additionally, it looks like OCUK will also be selling the Asus RTX 3060 Ti DUAL Mini V2 and RTX 3060 Phoenix graphics cards at their respective MSRPs – £395.99 and £308.99 respectively.

These prices are confirmed in the product descriptions on each retailer. The downside is that unfortunately, these GPUs are not in stock at either site at this time. However, shipments are coming in and we have been told that this pricing will carry on for a while, rather than being limited to one batch of cards.

If you've been looking to upgrade, then we'd recommend bookmarking the pages above and checking back for stock next week. Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru Says: We've seen retail stocks of GPUs reach sky-high prices in recent months, but hopefully initiatives like this from Asus can bring some normalcy back to the market. Are any of you still hoping to get your hands on an RTX 30 series card?

Gigabyte Aorus Gaming Boxes are already available with RTX 3080 and 3090 GPUs, but now, Gigabyte is also introducing an RTX 3080 Ti model to its line-up. With the RTX 3080 Ti Gaming Box, Gigabyte now offers a Gaming Box for every card using the GA102 GPU.

Like other Aorus Gaming Boxes, the Aorus RTX 3080 Ti Gaming Box uses the same interfaces as the other models, so expect a Thunderbolt 3 Type-C interface to connect the GPU to a system, a USB-A 3.0 port, an Ethernet port, 2x HDMI 2.1 ports and 3x DisplayPort 1.4.

The Gaming Boxes' cooling system is also the same, featuring a 240mm radiator with 2x 120mm fans attached. The FEP tubes coming out from the radiator are connected to a large copper base plate covering the GPU, MOSFETs, and VRAM.

Inside the case, users will find a Gigabyte Waterforce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card at stock settings, meaning it features a 1665MHz GPU clock, and the 12GB of GDDR6X memory come clocked at 19Gbps. There's also a 550W PSU with a >90% efficiency powering the GPU.

The Aorus RTX 3080 Ti Gaming Box supports Aorus Engine, allowing the users to modify the fan curve to their liking. It's also compatible with RGB Fusion 2.0 if users want to customise the RGB LEDs located in the front panel of the Gaming Box.

KitGuru says: Not long ago, laptop users were severely limited on options to upgrade graphics cards. However, times have changed, and now there are multiple external GPU options to choose from, with Gigabyte at the forefront with variety.

With the RTX 3080 Ti now technically ‘available', it is time for a new Nvidia driver update. The latest GeForce driver brings day-one support for the RTX 3080 Ti, in addition to Nvidia DLSS and Reflex integration on several games.

Aside from day-one support for the RTX 3080 Ti, which we reviewed earlier this week, this driver also adds day-one ‘Game Ready' support for Chivalry 2 and Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2.  The GeForce Experience app can now also be used to apply Nvidia's recommended settings on several new apps and games, including Aim Lab, Biomutant, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, Everspace 2 and Redout: Space Assault.

Three big games are getting new Nvidia features. For starters, No Man's Sky is getting updated with Nvidia DLSS, enabling higher frame rates on RTX graphics cards. DLSS will work while playing the game normally on your PC, as well as in VR mode.

Escape From Tarkov and War Thunder, two massive multiplayer titles, are also implementing Nvidia Reflex technology alongside this new driver. With Nvidia Reflex, GeForce graphics card owners can cut down overall system latency, leading to much faster response times for in-game actions.

The GeForce Game Ready 466.63 WHQL driver can now be downloaded and installed through the GeForce Experience app.

KitGuru Says: It's time for another driver update. If you're using an Nvidia graphics card, then let us know how you get on with this new driver.

The post Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti Review ft. Gigabyte, Inno3D, Palit first appeared on KitGuru.]]>
Hot on the heels of Nvidia's announcement at Virtual Computex 2021, today we can present our review of the RTX 3080 Ti. Built on the same GA102 GPU as the RTX 3080 and the RTX 3090, the RTX 3080 Ti sports a total of 82 Streaming Multiprocessors, only two fewer than the RTX 3090. Its memory allocation has been halved, with 12GB of GDDR6X which also runs fractionally slower. How much difference will those tweaks make to real world gaming though? That's what we find out today.

As part of this review, we will of course be focusing on Nvidia's RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition, which uses the same cooler as the RTX 3080 that launched back in September. We do also have three AIB cards to include as part of this day one review, which will make an interesting comparison for the Founders Edition.

The first of these is Gigabyte's RTX 3080 Ti Gaming OC, a now-familiar looking triple-fan card. In fact, all three partner models are use thick triple-fan coolers, with the other two in question being the Palit RTX 3080 Ti GameRock OC and the Inno3D RTX 3080 Ti iChill X4.

As mentioned, the RTX 3080 Ti uses Nvidia’s GA102 GPU, but a slightly cut-down version of the silicon. That means the RTX 3080 Ti incorporates 80 Streaming Multiprocessors (SMs), and thanks to Ampere’s new SM structure with its two FP32 datapaths, each SM houses 128 CUDA cores, giving a total of 10240. This is only 256 fewer cores compared to the RTX 3090, a reduction of 2.4%.

Ampere also places one RT core, and four Tensor cores, in each SM, giving a total of 80 RT cores and 320 Tensor cores. This is accompanied by 320 texture units and 112 ROPs which are now housed directly within each graphics processing cluster (GPC), with 16 ROPs per GPC, and 7 GPCs in total for RTX 3080 Ti.

Clock speed is another area where Nvidia has made cut backs compared to the RTX 3090. The RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition has a reference clock of 1665MHz, a reduction of 30MHz against the RTX 3090, though all three of the partner cards we test come factory overclocked. We test real-world clock speed behaviour later in this review.

For the memory, Nvidia is using the same 384-bit bus as found with the RTX 3090. The memory allocation itself has been halved, to 12GB of GDDR6X, while it also comes clocked at 19Gbps instead of 19.5Gbps as with the RTX 3090.

Lastly, for total graphics power, Nvidia rates the RTX 3080 Ti for 350W, the exact same as the RTX 3090. This review is the first where we will debut our new GPU power testing methodology, so read on for our most detailed power testing yet.

Now that Nvidia has announced the RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti GPUs, it's time for AiB partners to share their designs and cards. There will certainly be more third-party graphics cards in the future, but for now, we have details on the first models announced by Asus, MSI, Zotac and others.

Asus TUF Gaming and ROG Strix series

Asus will be launching the RTX 3070 Ti and the RTX 3080 Ti under the TUF Gaming brand. Equipped with 3x Axial tech 0dB fans and a backplate with screen cooling, the TUF Gaming cards feature a 2.7-slot heatsink covered in a black and dark grey shroud with a small Asus Aura Sync RGB LED on the top right corner.

Asus is also bringing the RTX 3070 Ti and the RTX 3080 Ti to the market through the ROG Strix branding, but only the RTX 3080 Ti features the LC (liquid-cooled) version. Like the TUF Gaming cards, the air-cooled ROG Strix cards feature 3x Axial tech fans and an aluminium backplate that lets air pass through the card. The heatsink is slightly taller, at 2.9 inches, and the RGB lighting is more prominent on this card.

As for the ROG Strix RTX 3080 Ti LC, it comes with a 240mm radiator with 2x 120mm RGB fans. From the radiator to the card, there's 600mm of tubing transporting the water. The card itself sports a blower-type cooler with one fan and customisable RGB strips. Like other ROG Strix LC cards, this one also features FanConnect II headers to synchronise with two case fans to adjust their speed based on the card's temperature.

Zotac AMP Holo and Trinity series

The Zotac RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti cards will be available as part of the AMP Holo and Trinity series. The RTX 3070 Ti GPUs will be available as AMP Extreme Holo, AMP Holo, and Trinity cards, while the RTX 3080 Ti GPU comes as AMP Extreme Holo, AMP Holo, Trinity OC, and Trinity cards.

Both the Trinity and AMP Holo cards have similar designs with 3x fans, a grey shroud, a 3-inch slot heatsink, and a backplate with screen cooling. The main differences are in the RGB lighting, which the AMP Holo cards have in the backplate and on the top of the card, and in the GPU clock speeds, where the AMP Holo tends to have the upper hand.

The clock speeds of the AMP Extreme Holo card haven't been listed yet. The RTX 3070 Ti Trinity boosts up to 1770MHz and the AMP Holo model up to 1830MHz. The RTX 3080 Ti come with lower clock speeds, with the Trinity models featuring a 1665MHz (non-OC variant) and 1695MHz (OC variant) boost clocks, and the AMP Holo a 1710MHz boost clock.

Inno3D Frostbite, iChill X3/X4, and X3 series

Inno3D announced a launch line-up of the RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti GPUs with nine models. The X3 series will have an OC and a non-OC variant. Both variants are equipped with a 3x fan cooling solution, a backplate with screen cooling, a dual-slot heatsink, and a shroud with simple aesthetics. The non-OC variants come at stock speeds and the factory-OC ones with a +15MHz boost.

The iChill X3/X4 series will also receive both Nvidia GPUs. These two card models are very similar, with one noticeable difference — the X4 ones, as the name suggests, come with an extra fan. Everything else is basically the same, including the triple fan layout, RGB lighting, backplate, and the rest of the shroud. The RTX 3070 Ti iChill X3/X4 boost up to 1830MHz, and the RTX 3080 Ti cards up to 1830MHz.

The last Inno3D card is the RTX 3080 Ti iChill Frostbite. This model packs a water block with a nickel-plated copper block and RGB lighting, allowing users to easily mount it into a custom water loop. Inno3D claims that using a 240mm or 360mm radiator, the card should operate at 60-65°C.

MSI Ventus 3X, Gaming Trio, and Suprim series

MSI introduced 12 new cards belonging to the Ventus 3X, Suprim, and Gaming Trio series, including OC and non-OC variants. Clock speeds have not been detailed yet, but the Ventus 3X cards should be the lower clocked ones, then the Gaming Trio models, and at last, the Suprim cards.

All models feature a 3x fan cooling solution. Only the Gaming Trio and the Suprim cards feature RGB lighting. All RTX 3070 Ti cards have a backplate with screen cooling, unlike the RTX 3080 cards, from which only the Gaming Trio model allows air to pass through the card.

The Ventus 3X uses Torx 3.0 fans, while the other two series have Torx 4.0. Moreover, the Suprim and Gaming Trio cards also employ the Tri Frozr 2 cooling system, featuring Airflow Control fins and Core Pipes.

Palit GamingPro and GameRock series

Palit has six cards in store for us. Four cards, from which two are RTX 3070 Ti and another two are RTX 3080 Ti, belong to the GameRock series. The remaining two, an RTX 3070 Ti and an RTX 3080 Ti, are from the GamingPro series. The Game Rock cards will be available in OC and non-OC models. Like the non-OC GameRock cards, the GamingPro cards run at stock settings.

The GamingPro cards feature a half black, half grey shroud with customisable RGB lighting. It also features 3x 0dB TurboFans 3.0, a backplate that allows the air to be recirculated into the case and U-pipes to distribute the heat through the heatsink.

Like other GameRock cards, the RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti models will feature the dazzling RGB effect from the crystal-like shroud. The shroud packs 3x 0dB TurboFans 3.0, and the backplate lets air pass through the card more easily. The four cards feature a Dual-Bios switch, allowing users to choose between a silent mode and a performance mode.

Gainward Phoenix series

Gainward launched two aesthetically similar cards, with the only difference being the backplate. The RTX 3080 Ti has a copper-coloured backplate, and the RTX 3070 Ti a darker backplate. Both cards come clocked at stock settings and feature screen cooling and a 2.7-inch slot heatsink cooled by 3x Phoenix 0db fans.

Last month following Doom Eternal's 1-year anniversary, id Software confirmed that some major updates would be coming to the game later this year. It looks like one of those could be the long-awaited ray-tracing upgrade.

Nvidia is hosting a Computex keynote later today and Bethesda has confirmed that Doom Eternal will be featured during the event. In a tweet, the publisher says “hell never looked so good”, indicating a graphical upgrade. Nvidia has also begun teasing its Computex appearance, which will include updates on a number of games, including Doom Eternal, Escape from Tarkov and Rainbow Six Siege.

When id Software announced Doom Eternal in 2019, the studio did mention that they were working on raytracing support, but the game ended up launching with standard lighting techniques instead.

Now that there is more ray-tracing capable hardware out in the wild, including graphics cards from Nvidia and AMD, as well as both the Xbox Series X and PS5 consoles, Doom Eternal will have a chance to be back in the spotlight.

Nvidia's Computex keynote is taking place at 10PM PT on the 31st of May. Here in the UK, that works out to be 6AM on June 1st. We are also expecting to see the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti graphics cards announced during this event.

KitGuru Says: Are many of you looking forward to Nvidia's announcements at Computex?

As the expected date for the RTX 3080 Ti launch comes closer, the first benchmark results have started to appear. Besides the results, there's also confirmation on most of the specifications of the new GPU thanks to GPU-Z validation.

The GPU-Z validation of RTX 3080 Ti has finally come out confirming the latest rumours about the specifications of the GPU. The RTX 3080 Ti will feature 10,240 CUDA cores with a base clock set at 1365MHz, and the boost clock at 1665MHz. The validation also confirms that the GPU comes with 12GB of GDDR6X memory clocked at 19GHz across a 384-bit memory bus, resulting in a maximum bandwidth of 912.4GB/s.

The RTX 3080 Ti has been tested on Geekbench 5 (via @BenchLeaks) scoring a similar result to the RTX 3090 (238603 vs 237972). As per the entry, the card was operating at 1.67GHz and the 12GB of memory at 19Gbps. The rest of the system consisted of an Intel Core i9-11900K clocked at 5.3GHz on an ASUS ROG Maximus XIII Hero motherboard featuring 32GB of DDR4-3600 memory.

A different user also tested the RTX 3080 Ti on Ashes of the Singularity in a system equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X and 16GB of memory. A fair comparison of scores in AoTS is hard due to the lack of system details. Nonetheless, putting the RTX 3080 Ti side-by-side with similar PCs using the same API and game version, the RTX 3080 Ti seems to offer about the same level of performance as the Radeon RX 6800 series GPUs and RX 6900 XT.

KitGuru says: These are early benchmarks but it is a nice preview of what's to come. We should start to see full reviews with more detailed performance analysis next week.

Nvidia posted a small video with some kind of liquid (Titanium?), announcing an upcoming event scheduled for May 31st at 10:00 PM PST. Although the company didn't specify what will be shown or announced during the event, given the timing, it's very likely that Nvidia will be introducing the RTX  3080 Ti and the RTX 3070 Ti.

As per the date shown during the tease posted on Twitter, it looks like Nvidia will show the new RTX 30 series GPUs during Computex 2021 as we've previously thought. The tease also shows Nvidia will be streaming the live event on Twitch and YouTube.

The specifications of these cards have not yet been confirmed, but rumours and leaks already give us a good idea of what each will have to offer. The RTX 3080 Ti is expected to feature the GA102-225 GPU with 10,240 CUDA cores clocked at 1365MHz, boosting up to 1665MHz. The GPU will be paired with 12GB of GDDR6X memory at 19Gbps across a 384-bit memory bus. The clock speeds of the RTX 3070 Ti are still unknown, but the card should come with 8GB of GDDR6X at 19Gbps across a 256-bit bus and feature a fully-enabled GA104 GPU.

Both cards are expected to feature anti-mining tech, which should be good news for gamers. The RTX 3080 Ti is expected to release on June 3rd. AS for the RTX 3070 Ti, it should come a week later, on the 10th of June.

Nvidia has yet to officially announce the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti, but that hasn't stopped listings popping up from some partners. Over the weekend, both unannounced GPUs appeared on Razer's website as an option for pre-built PC orders.

The listings, spotted and shared by @harukaze5719, show that Razer began letting customers choose an Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti or RTX 3070 Ti as a configuration option when purchasing a pre-built gaming PC. At the time of writing, adding one of these options doesn't always work, as it looks like the site has only been partially updated.

The listings don't detail the full specifications of the graphics cards, but it does confirm that the RTX 3070 Ti will feature 8GB of memory, and the RTX 3080 Ti will come with 12GB.

The pricing of each card alone can't be determined, but calculating the price difference between each system can give us a vague idea of it. A Razer system configured with a Ryzen 9 5900X CPU, an X570 motherboard, and an RTX 3090 graphics card is priced at ¥39,999 (£4395), but reducing the GPU option to an RTX 3080 Ti and the motherboard to a cheaper model reduced the price to ¥24,999 (£2747). That's a £1648 difference.

There are also two RTX 3070 Ti pre-built systems, one costing ¥13,499 (£1483) and the other ¥14,999 (£1648). Nvidia is expected to announce the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti next week.

At this point, leakers all seem to be in agreement that the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti will be announced later this month, but when will the first cards be available to buy? According to sources, the RTX 3080 Ti will be hitting the market in the first week of June.

According to Wccftech, the upcoming RTX 3080 Ti and the RTX 3070 Ti will release on June 3rd and June 10th, respectively. This same report also reinforces the rumour regarding the end date of the review embargos of these cards, which is reportedly set for June 2nd for the RTX 3080 Ti and June 9th for the RTX 3070 Ti.

If all these dates prove to be true, buyers will have one full day to read or watch reviews and then decide which card to buy. Then, the battle for stock availability begins.

So far, it is expected that the RTX 3080 Ti will be powered by the GA102-225 GPU with 10,240 CUDA cores and 12GB of GDDR6X memory. As for the RTX 3070 Ti, it should come with a fully enabled GA104 GPU with 6144 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR6X.

Yesterday, Nvidia confirmed that it would be holding its own keynote at Computex 2021, which will cover everything “from gaming to the enterprise data centre”. Interestingly, this keynote is happening on the 31st of May – the same date that recent leaks have pointed to for the RTX 3080 Ti reveal.

As previously reported, the latest leaks regarding the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti pointed to an announcement event on the 31st of May. Now that we know about Nvidia's Computex appearance and plans to cover gaming, there are a few signs pointing to the possible announcement of new RTX 30 series GPUs.

Nvidia's Computex keynote will be hosted by Jeff Fisher, GeForce Senior VP at Nvidia, which can also be interpreted as another hint at the upcoming announcement. After all, Jeff Fisher was responsible for announcing the RTX 3060 12GB back in February. Nvidia's Head of Enterprise Computing Manuvir Das will also host the keynote alongside Jeff.

Besides Nvidia, Intel and AMD will also host keynotes during Computex, so expect to see some new announcements from them as well.

Recent rumours have indicated that Nvidia will announce the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti soon, followed by a launch in June. Now, we have more evidence of this, as a board partner presentation has leaked online.

VideoCardz has obtained a presentation deck for MSI's upcoming SUPRIM series RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti graphics cards. The slides confirm that the RTX 3080 Ti will be a 12GB card and share the same PCB design as the RTX 3080. It also appears to confirm that the RTX 3070 Ti will be an 8GB card, which is very much in-line with leaked specifications.

At the moment, the RTX 3080 Ti is expected to ship with a GA102-225 GPU featuring 10,240 CUDA cores, 80 RT cores, and 320 Tensor cores, as well as 12GB of GDDR6X memory. Specifications for the RTX 3070 Ti are a bit up in the air, a GA104 GPU is expected, with more CUDA cores, RT cores and Tensor cores, but we do not know if it will ship with GDDR6X memory, or if it will use standard GDDR6 modules.

Rumour has it that the RTX 3080 Ti will be unveiled later this month, but we do not know if the RTX 3070 Ti will be announced at the same time. Both GPUs are expected to be available in June.

KitGuru Says: Whether or not there will be enough stock to go around for these new GPUs still remains to be seen. Are any of you hoping to get your hands on an upcoming RTX 30 series Ti graphics card?

AMD isn't the only company getting unreleased SKUs listed on the EEC database. Palit recently listed a slew of upcoming graphics cards, showing plans to release multiple models of Nvidia's upcoming RTX 3080 Ti, RTX 3070 Ti, RTX 3050 Ti, and CMP HX series graphics cards.

Spotted by @KOMACHI_ENSAKA, the EEC listing made by Palit shows 5x RTX 3080 Ti cards, 20x RTX 3070 Ti cards, and 25x RTX 3050 Ti cards. As for CMP HX cards, there are 3x CMP 30HX cards, 6x CMP 40HX cards, 6x CMP 50HX cards, and 6x CMP 90HX cards. Moreover, the listing also includes new models of other GPUs that have already been released.

Considering the sheer amount of cards listed in the entry, we believe that Palit's line-up won't include all of them. The absurd quantity of product codes may be due to Palit's upcoming cards using more than one, depending on the region they're being sold, or for any other unknown reason.

We still don't have an exact launch date for any of the RTX SKUs, but rumours point to a release of the RTX 3080 Ti and the RTX 3070 Ti in June. As for the unreleased CMP 50HX and 90HX graphics cards listed in this entry, both are scheduled to be launched this quarter.

KitGuru says: Given the GPU stock shortage, we can assume that these product codes aren't all for individual cards, otherwise Palit would need all the stock Nvidia can produce.

Narrowing down the RTX 3080 Ti launch window has been a pain for insiders, with the date shifting every couple of weeks. The latest reports indicate that the RTX 3080 Ti will now be announced on the 31st of May, followed by a retail launch in June. According to some sources, the RTX 3070 Ti will launch in a similar time frame.

After multiple delays, the latest rumours regarding the announcement of the RTX 3080Ti points to a reveal on May 31st. The review embargo is expected to end on June 2nd, so the release should be around this date. The RTX 3070 Ti is also rumoured to be announced on May 31st, but this card will release a bit later, with a reported review embargo of June 9th.

On a similar note, retail listings for the RTX 3080 Ti have been shared by VideoCardz. On Aquila Technology, there's a listing for an MSI RTX 3080 Ti Ventus 3X 12G OC priced at NZD $2,543.46 (£1316.23) and a Gigabyte RTX 3080Ti Gaming OC priced at NZD $3,152.50 (£1,631.40). Over on Computer Perth, listings for a Gigabyte RTX 3080Ti Vision OC and a Gigabyte RTX 3080Ti Eagle OC were spotted, both with a AUS $1732.75 (£966.75) price tag. Computer Perth's listings mention the NDA ends in late May.

The RTX 3080Ti is expected to feature the GA102-225GPU with 10240 CUDA cores and a 1665MHz boost clock speed. It should come with 12GB of GDDR6X memory at 19Gbps across a 384-bit bus and the Ethereum mining limiter.

The RTX 3070 Ti is rumoured to ship with a GA104-400 GPU with 6144 CUDA cores, 48 RT cores, 192 Tensor cores and 8GB of GDDR6X memory.

A few weeks ago, a mysterious batch of shipping boxes were pictured, with the label showing them to be MSI RTX 3080 Ti graphics cards. Now, we have a bit more than a pile of brown boxes to look at, with packaging for the MSI Suprim X RTX 3080 Ti leaking online.

Videocardz received a photo of what looks to be a legitimate box for the MSI Suprim X RTX 3080 Ti. The Suprim X model is MSI's flagship, offering the best out-of-the-box overclocks, an improved cooler compared to the MSI Gaming series and a full metal backplate.

This isn't much on its own, but paired with other recent reports, this could be taken as evidence that the RTX 3080 Ti really is launching next month. Recent rumours have pointed towards a May 18th announcement, followed by retail availability on May 26th.

Nvidia hasn't announced anything officially yet, but the RTX 3080 Ti is expected to feature the GA102-225 GPU with 10,240 CUDA cores, 80 RT cores, and 320 Tensor cores, as well as 12GB of GDDR6X memory.

KitGuru Says: Nothing has been announced officially yet, so take this with a grain of salt. If the rumours of a May reveal are true, Nvidia will begin teasing within the next few weeks.

We might be just three weeks away from seeing the RTX 3080 Ti announced. The upcoming graphics card has been rumoured for a long time now and has reportedly been hit with multiple delays. However, sources now reckon we'll finally see the GPU in action next month.

The rumour first appeared on the Expreview forums, which have since been privatised. Fortunately, ITHome (via Wccftech) spotted it. According to this source, Nvidia may announce the RTX 3080 Ti on the 18th of May, followed by reviews on the 25th of May and a retail launch a day later, on the 26th of May.

Apparently, the RTX 3080 Ti will ship with Nvidia's mining limiter in place. This will be an updated version, as workarounds are now available for the first revision that shipped on the RTX 3060 in February.

From what we've gathered until now, the RTX 3080 Ti is expected to feature the GA102-225 GPU with 10240 CUDA cores, 80 RT cores, and 320 Tensor cores. As far as clock speeds go, rumour has it that we'll see a 1365MHz base clock and a 1665MHz boost clock, as well as 12GB of GDDR6X memory clocked at 19Gbps across a  384-bit memory bus.
