Dell has already unveiled a range of new laptops ahead of CES next week. Now, our attention turns towards monitors, with two new high-res ultrawides set to hit the market, both offering the benefits of an IPS panel, along with high refresh rates.

The Dell U3425WE uses a 34-inch IPS Black panel with a UWQHD resolution (3440×1440) and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The curved display provides 10-bit colour depth, allowing it to cover 100% of the sRGB and 98% of DCI-P3 gamuts. It comes with an ergonomic stand that allows for height adjustments of up to 150mm and swivel and tilt. Moreover, it uses a built-in Ambient Light Sensor that automatically adjusts brightness and colour temperature depending on the environment.

Dell's new 34-inch monitor is perfect for users who require efficient multitasking capabilities. Its highlights are the IPS Black technology, Thunderbolt 4 connection with up to 90W power delivery, and TÜV Rheinland five-star eye comfort certification. Moreover, it features iMST, allowing you to multitask by splitting the display into two displays from a single PC source. There's also a Network KVM feature that enables you to work across two PCs for increased productivity. Additionally, the monitor has an RJ45 connector that offers up to 2.5 GbE with PXE boot, Wake on LAN, and Mac Address pass-through capabilities.

As for the U4025QW, it is the world's first 40-inch 5K display certified for TÜV Rheinland five-star eye comfort certification. Dell achieved this certification by doubling the refresh rate to 120Hz, adding a built-in ambient light sensor, and improving the Dell ComfortView Plus technology.

This ultrawide curved VESA DisplayHDR 600-certified monitor has IPS Black Panel technology for enhanced colour contrast and a 5120×2160 resolution. Covering 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space, users can use Dell Colour Management software to adjust the monitor colours to their liking. The U4025QW has a Thunderbolt 4 connection with up to 140W power delivery, a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet connection via RJ45, HDMI 2.1 FRL (Fixed Rate Link), and DisplayPort 1.4.

The Dell U3425WE and U4025QW will be available internationally starting February 27th. The former has a starting price of $1,019.99, while the latter will cost $2,399.99.

KitGuru says: Although pricey, their feature set is uncommon. The mix of IPS Black technology, 120Hz refresh rate, and high resolutions is not very common in the market, at least not yet.

Philips is back with a new SuperWide display. The new Philips 49B2U5900CH boasts a massive 49-inch display with 32:9 aspect ratio and 5120×1440 resolution, giving tons of screen space for productivity tasks.

The Philips 49B2U5900CH is geared towards productivity, with a USB-C docking station, a pop-up webcam with a Busylight function, enabling professionals to sync with Microsoft Teams so colleagues can quickly tell if there is a team call going on. The webcam also supports Windows Hello, so you can unlock your PC swiftly with a scan of your face.

Several functions make the Philips 49B2U5900CH ideal for work. Naturally, the most obvious benefit here is the large SuperWide display, offering the equivalent of two QHD monitors side by side with no bezels in the way. It also has a KVM switch, so you can manage multiple systems with one keyboard and mouse. The USB-C docking station enables 100W of power delivery too, so you can swiftly charge or power additional devices.

Other key features include DisplayHDR 400 certification, SmartImage technology, and TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certification. The Philips 49B2U5900CH monitor will be available for purchase from mid-November and with a MSRP of £949.99.

OLED gaming monitors are finally becoming more common across the market and MSI is at the forefront with its QD-OLED line-up. This month, MSI is introducing two more OLED displays, with ultra-low response times and high refresh rates.

It has taken a long time for OLED to make its way to the PC market, in part due to the risk of burn-in from static images. To combat this, MSI OLED Care 2.0 uses a passive cooling solution to keep the panel from getting too hot, as well as features such as Pixel Shift and Panel Protect to refresh the pixels on the display. You can set these features up to happen at regular intervals to reduce the possibility of burn-in as much as possible over the monitor's lifespan.

The two new QD-OLED gaming monitors hitting the market this month are the MAG 341CQP QD-OLED and the MPG 491CQP QD-OLED. Both models come standard with 0.03ms GTG response time and 144Hz refresh rate. The MAG 341CQP QD-OLED is equipped with a 34” UWQHD QD-OLED 1800R curved panel while the MPG 491CQP QD-OLED is equipped with a 49” DQHD QD-OLED 1800R curved panel.

Both models sport VESA ClearMR 9000 and DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, so you'll get great image clarity and colour depth. You also get two HDMI 2.1 ports with full 48Gbps bandwidth, making them ideal not just for PC gaming, but for 120Hz support with the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 as well. As you would expect, these monitors also offer Variable Refresh Rate, so you won't have to deal with screen tearing.

Both of these monitors will be available starting this month. In 2024, MSI will have more OLED goodness on the way, teasing new 4K and QHD OLED displays with refresh rates up to 360Hz. We expect to see these at CES next year.

Last week, Display Specifications caught wind of a new AOC Agon monitor, sporting a massive 45-inch OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate. AOC doesn't appear to have officially announced this monitor yet but from what we know so far, it sounds like it is going to be very good.

The AOC AGON AG456UCZD sports a 45-inch curved ultrawide OLED panel made by LG. Thanks to OLED technology, you get per-pixel lighting, making for perfect black levels and great HDR. The panel also has a very low 0.03ms response time and a very high 240Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for gaming.

According to Display Specifications, the monitor has a 1000 nits peak brightness, which would suggest HDR1000 certification. Like the Corsair Xeneon Flex, this is a 3440×1440 ultrawide monitor, so you'll get a lot of screen space to work with.

Other features include USB Type-C with 90W power delivery, two HDMI 2.0 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, four USB 3.2 Type-A ports, a direct headphone jack and two 8W internal speakers.

We unfortunately don't have pricing or availability information yet and the official product page is not yet live on the AOC website.

AOC is expanding its display options with a new curved gaming monitor, the CU34G3X. As of now, the monitor has only been announced for the Chinese market, but it should come to this side of the world soon.

The monitor is centred around a 34-inch VA panel with a 1500R curvature, a 180Hz refresh rate, a 1ms G2G response time, and 3440×1440 WQHD resolution. The panel has 10-bit (8-bit + FRC) colour depth, 300 nits of brightness with HDR10 certification, a static contrast ratio of 4000:1, and a dynamic contrast ratio of 80M:1. Colour coverage is quite extensive, covering up to 132% of the sRGB, up to 109% of the NTSC, and up to 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space. The screen comes colour-calibrated out of the factory (ΔE<2) and supports AMD FreeSync.

The AOC CU34G3X has two HDMI 2.0 inputs, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, and one headphone connector. The stand has a tilt range of -5º to 23º, a height range of up to 130mm, and a swivel range of -40º to 40º. Alternatively, there's support for VESA (100×100) monitor arms. Flicker-free, Motion Blur Reduction, Low Input Lag, PiP, PbP, Low Blue Light Mode, and the AOC G-Menu are some other features of the CU34G3X.

This monitor was already launched in China, but there's still no word about a worldwide release. However, seeing that its predecessor, the CU34G2X, is available in Europe, the UK, and the US, there's a good chance the CU34G3X will follow suit.

KitGuru says: On paper, the CU34G3X looks like a good monitor for those who play on curved displays. What do you think of the CU34G3X?

The screen has a refresh rate of 120Hz by default, but with an overclock, it is capable of reaching 135Hz.

As a FreeSync Premium-certified monitor, you can benefit from tear-free gaming. The height of the stand can be adjusted by up to 100mm, and it can tilt from -5 degrees to 20 degrees. Unfortunately, most ultrawide gaming monitors with a display size of over 38 inches are curved. Although there's a market for these, some people just prefer their displays flat. That's where the AOC Agon AG405UXC comes in, featuring a 40-inch flat ultrawide display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

The AG405UXC features a 40-inch flat ultrawide IPS panel with a resolution of 3440×1440. The 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time (MPRT) ensure smooth and responsive gameplay. The monitor is VESA DisplayHDR400-certified, meaning peak brightness should at least reach 400 nits. As for the contrast ratio, it's rated at 1200:1. These specifications allow the display to cover 100% of the sRGB colour gamut and 94% of the DCI-P3 space.

The AG405UXC's size and ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio offer a distinct advantage for some gamers. The additional screen real estate allows gamers to have a wider field of view and allows them to access multiple menus simultaneously without cluttering the screen.

The AG405UXC also supports AOC's intuitive G-Menu software, enabling easy customisation of monitor settings, including colour, overdrive, and gaming-specific features like Shadow Control, Low Blue Mode, PiP, PbP, Dial Point, and Frame Counter. It also offers settings for low input lag, ensuring rapid and responsive gameplay, as well as Adaptive-Sync (AMD FreeSync Premium) support for tear-free and stutter-free gaming.

Moreover, the monitor comes with a versatile stand that allows a wide range of tilt, swivel, and 150mm height adjustment. Additional features include a USB-C port with 90W power delivery, support for HDMI and DisplayPort, a USB hub for convenient peripheral connectivity, and two 5W built-in speakers. The AG405UXC will be available starting in June for £569.99.

Philips will soon launch a new business monitor on the market – the 40B1U6903CH. This monitor offers a range of features that make it an excellent choice for professionals seeking fast data transfers and high-quality visuals.

The 40B1U6903CH's standout feature is its Thunderbolt 4 docking solution, which allows users to transfer data at a rapid speed of 40 Gbps with bidirectional bandwidth. The ports are compatible with previous Thunderbolt cable connections, USB, and DisplayPort, meaning you can connect a wide variety of devices to the monitor. With this technology, professionals can benefit from fast data transfers, a speedy Ethernet connection (1 Gbps), and the ability to deliver 90W of power to connected devices, so you can charge up your portables, like a laptop, smartphone or tablet.

Another noteworthy feature is its built-in 5MP webcam optimised for video conferencing. The monitor also includes a noise-cancelling microphone, perfect for reducing unwanted background noise during a call. The 5MP webcam is certified with Windows Hello, allowing users to log in to their Windows accounts quickly and securely using advanced facial recognition sensors. The 40B1U6903CH is certified as TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe RPF 50, which means it has a built-in blue light filter to reduce potential eye strain caused by long exposure to blue light. Additionally, the monitor boasts a peak luminance of 400nits, 5120×2160 resolution, and 75Hz refresh rate, and is certified with VESA DisplayHDR 400.

The 40-inch monitor is designed with user comfort in mind. It features an earphone hook and Compact Ergo Base that allows for tilt and swivel adjustments. Furthermore, it packs a MultiClient Integrated KVM switch, allowing you to control two systems from a single keyboard and mouse set. Additionally, the PowerSensor feature helps reduce energy costs by automatically adjusting the screen's brightness when the monitor is not in use, resulting in potential energy savings of up to 80%. The Philips 40B1U6903CH business monitor will be available for purchase starting this month with a price tag of £1499.99.

KitGuru says: Although pricey, the 40B1U6903CH offers a very comprehensive set of business-oriented features that would make it a perfect companion for many jobs.

Asus ROG is expanding its OLED gaming monitor lineup with the ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD. Like MSI, Asus is also making a massive 49-inch superwide OLED monitor for the high-end market.

At a staggering 49 inches, the ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD boasts a 144Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time and 5120×1440 resolution, the desktop real estate equivalent to two separate 16:9 1440p displays. With a peak brightness of 1000 nits, the monitor is prepared for HDR content too. The monitor offers true 10-bit colour depth and covers 99% of the cinema-grade DCI-P3 gamut, meeting the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification requirements. Additionally, it supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro eliminating screen tearing and ensuring minimal input lag.

Thanks to a KVM switch, users can effortlessly control two PCs with a single keyboard and mouse. Splitting the screens across the wide display allows you to seamlessly switch control between devices as the mouse moves from one side to the other. Moreover, it will enable fast file transfers between the connected devices, courtesy of USB 3.2 connectivity.

The PG49WCD has various DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports for video and USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports for peripheral and storage device connectivity. A USB Type-C port with 90W power delivery is also available, allowing for simultaneous charging and display connectivity.

To ensure longevity and minimise burn-in risk, Asus has incorporated a cooling solution into the PG49WCD. Featuring a sizable custom heatsink to cool the mainboard, it eliminates the need for a noisy fan. In addition, a graphene film is placed behind the OLED panel to dissipate heat and reduce the risk of image retention.

The ROG-exclusive Uniform Brightness setting further enhances the viewing experience. Unlike standard OLED displays that dynamically adjust brightness when resizing windows with white backgrounds, causing noticeable fluctuations, the Uniform Brightness setting ensures consistent levels.

KitGuru says: On paper, the ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD looks like a great ultrawide monitor. However, considering its specs, don't expect it to come cheap.

LG is expanding its monitor lineup with a new ultrawide curved monitor for professionals. Based on its specs alone, the 40WP95CP-W looks like a good choice for anyone looking for a big curved screen, especially considering it has a 5120×2160 resolution.

The LG 40WP95CP-W packs a 39.7-inch Nano IPS curved display with a typical contrast ratio of 1000:1, 5120×2160 resolution, 5ms G2G response time, and a 10-bit colour depth. Capable of covering 90% of the DCI-P3 gamut, the monitor tops out at a brightness of 300 cd/m² and has a maximum refresh rate of 72Hz, with support for AMD FreeSync. The display can be daisy-chained with a second, identical display. However, this drops the refresh rate down to 60Hz on both panels.

The monitor has many other features, including support for HDR 10 content, an HDR effect display mode, flicker-free technology, Black Stabilizer, and Auto Input Switch. Moreover, it supports PbP, PiP, hardware calibration, Dynamic Action Sync and low-blue light mode. Furthermore, the display comes factory-calibrated out-of-the-factory.

Connectivity options include a single DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI ports, a pair of USB 3.0 ports, and a headphone jack. It also features a Thunderbolt 4 interface that can deliver up to 96W of power, enough to power most notebooks without a discrete GPU. Additionally, the display has a pair of integrated 10W speakers and a stand that allows for height, tilt, and swivel adjustments. The monitor can be found in retailers for around €1,400.

LG is back with another impressive ultrawide monitor. With a 32:9 49-inch panel, HDR and a 240Hz refresh rate, the LG 49GR85DC-B offers many of the features gamers will be looking for.

Packing a 49-inch curved (1000R) VA panel with 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms G2G response time and 5120×1440 resolution, the LG 49GR85DC-B has everything you need out of a gaming monitor. The display uses a 10-bit panel that can cover up to 95% of the DCI-P3 gamut. Typical brightness is rated at 450 nits, but it can peak at 1000 nits in HDR content, as shown by the VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification. As is common for VA panels, the typical contrast ratio is decent, sitting at 2500:1.

The LG 49GR85DC-B supports AMD Freesync Premium Pro, so you can avoid screen tear while gaming. Other features of the monitor include PiP and PbP picture modes, Black Stabilizer, Color Weakness mode, gaming-oriented overlays, reader mode, flicker-free technology, auto input switch, VRR and HDR10 support, HDR effect, and Dynamic Action Sync.

The monitor comes factory-calibrated, ensuring acceptable colour accuracy right out of the box. Connectivity inputs include 2x HDMI ports, a DisplayPort, a 4-pole (audio+mic) jack, and 2x USB-A 3.0 interfaces. In addition, it supports the DTS HP:X standard. The included stand offers good ergonomics, including tilt, swivel and height adjustment, but there's support for a VESA 100×100 monitor arm if you prefer. Lastly, the monitor has a mouse holder behind the stand and customisable hexagon-shaped RGB lighting strips on the back of the monitor.

KitGuru says: Considering the feature set it packs, the LG 49GR85DC-B seems to rival the Samsung Odyssey G9. In fact, the specs of both monitors are basically the same. We wouldn't be surprised if they packed the same panel.

Back in October 2022, Philips launched its new Evnia brand, with plans to deliver a trio of high-end gaming displays. Now, we're starting to see the rollout, with two Evnia displays hitting the market this week – a 175Hz QHD ultrawide, as well as a large 4K OLED display.

We'll start off with the Philips Evnia 34M2C8600. This monitor comes with a Quantum Dot OLED panel, measuring in at 34 inches. You get plenty of speed for gaming thanks to the 175Hz refresh rate and 0.1ms response time. The panel also boasts HDR capabilities, with this monitor being DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified. Other key features of the monitor include a USB-C port, a KVM switch and a height-adjustable stand.

The second monitor launching today is the Philips Evnia 42M2N8900. As part of the Evnia 8000 series, this is one of the flagship monitors in the Evnia line-up. Like the name implies, this is a 42-inch OLED display, so you'll need a large desk if you plan on using it as a day-to-day monitor.

The OLED display is 10-bit, so you'll get decent colour accuracy. For gaming, the display has a 0.1ms response time as well as a 138Hz maximum refresh rate for smooth and responsive gameplay.

Both the Evnia 34M2C8600 and the Evnia 42M2N8900 feature Philips Ambiglow lighting too, so you can add some extra visual flair to your setup.

The Philips Evnia 34M2C8600 is available starting now, priced at £1,149. The Philips Evnia 42M2N8900 is also available as of today, priced at £1,499.

Succeeding the three-year-old CU34G2X, AOC has now announced the CU34G2XP. The updated version has the same display size and still uses a curved VA panel, but there are other upgrades in place to make this worth picking up over the older model.

Packing a 34-inch ultrawide VA panel with a 1500R curvature, the AOC CU34G2XP sports a 3440×1440 resolution, 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms G2G response time. The typical brightness is around 350 nits, and the contrast ratio is 4000:1. These paired with an 8-bit colour depth allow the monitor to cover 99% of the sRGB gamut and 91% of the DCI-P3 spectrum. It's worth noting the monitor factory calibrated with a ΔE<2 (sRGB).

HDR10 content and FreeSync Premium are both supported by the CU34G2XP. In addition, it features a blur reduction mode, PiP, PbP, black stabiliser and an overlay function that lets you put a crosshair at the centre of the screen or add an FPS counter. Bluelight mode and flicker-free technology are also packed within the monitor.

On the back of the monitor, you'll find 2x DisplayPorts 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.0 interfaces, a 3.5mm headphone-out jack and a USB 3.2 Gen1 hub. The included stand has rotate, tilt and height adjustment. The option to use a third-party 100×100 VESA-compatible monitor arm is also present.

Philips has been launching many gaming monitors in the last few years, and that trend continues this month. The company has recently introduced the Momentum 34M1C5500VA, a curved gaming monitor with an ultrawide panel and a high refresh rate.

The 34-inch VA panel has a 1500R curvature and 3440×1440 resolution. With 4ms G2G response time (1ms MPRT) and 165Hz refresh rate, gamers should have a decent experience with this monitor. Typical brightness is set at 300 nits and the contrast ratio at 3000:1, which is commonplace for VA panels. With an 8-bit colour depth, the screen can cover 120.7% of the sRGB colour gamut and 100% of the NTSC spectrum.

Besides supporting Adaptive Sync, PiP, PbP and low blue light and EasyRead modes, the 34M1C5500VA also features SmartImage HDR, which includes various HDR presets to choose from. Moreover, the two 5W speakers might come in handy to watch content without your headset/headphones/earphones on.

Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.0 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4, a 3.5mm audio-out jack and a USB hub with four USB 3.2 Gen1 ports. The included stand offers height adjustment, as well as tilt and swivel capabilities, which should be more than enough for the average consumer. However, there's always VESA 100×100 mount support if you prefer to mount the monitor on a different stand. The new monitor is already available to order at some European stores, with prices around the €500 mark.

AOC has made some decent ultrawide gaming monitors over the years, but the new AGON Pro AG344UXM might be its best yet. The new monitor sports a Mini-LED display with 1152 dimming zones, DisplayHDR 1000 certification and 170Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth gaming – you'll need deep pockets to afford it though.

The AG344UXM expands the AGON PRO portfolio of high-end monitors with a new ultrawide model. The Mini-LED backlight and number of local dimming zones allow the panel to achieve deeper black levels and provide an excellent HDR viewing experience, with up to 1000 nits peak brightness. The main panel is IPS too, so you get great viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth and wide colour gamut coverage, including 99% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB.

As an AGON PRO monitor, very few compromises are made here, so you get a maximum 170Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth gaming at 3440×1440 resolution, as well as 1ms GtG response time, so input latency will remain low. You also get support for Adaptive-Sync technology, so you can use G-Sync Compatible mode on Nvidia PCs or FreeSync on AMD systems to eliminate screen tearing.

The display has a DisplayPort 1.4 connection as well as HDMI 2.1 connectivity, so it will play nicely with new-gen consoles too. Users will also benefit from a USB-C input, which supports display signal and up to 90W power delivery. Other features include a 4-port USB hub and a KVM switch to control the device connected via USB-C.

The AOC AGON Pro AG344UXM will be available starting in July 2022, priced at £1,429.99.

AOC is launching a new ultrawide monitor this month, complete with a 100Hz panel and 3440x1440p resolution. While this might be spec'd like a gaming monitor, it is actually geared towards multi-purpose users, including office work and enterprise. Aesthetically, the monitor would also fit right at home in that environment.

Featuring a 34-inch curved (1500R) VA panel, the new AOC CU34P2C offers 3440x1440p resolution, 100Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT/4ms G2G response time. Like most VA displays, it has a 3000:1 contrast ratio. Moreover, it features 300nits of brightness and an 8-bit colour depth, allowing it to cover 120% of the sRGB spectrum, 89% of the AdobeRGB colour space, and 85% of the NTSC gamut.

AOC's new monitor features flicker-free technology to reduce eye fatigue and a low blue light mode that removes harmful blue light without significantly affecting displayed colours. In addition, it supports Adaptive-Sync for a tear-free gaming experience.

Connectivity options include a 4-port USB hub, a 3.5mm headphone output, 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, and a DisplayPort 1.2. In addition, it has 2x 3W speakers. The included stand allows you to tilt, swivel, and adjust the height. Alternatively, you can also mount the monitor on a VESA 100x100mm monitor arm. The AOC CU34P2C will be available starting this month for £479.99 with a three-year warranty.

iiyama's new curved monitor looks to be quite versatile. In addition to the large display area, it also brings a decent refresh rate in a VA panel and pairs a KVM switch, making the new monitor useful for gaming as well as work.

The iiyama Prolite XCB3494WQSN has a 34-inch VA panel with a 1500R curvature, 120Hz refresh rate, 0.4ms MPRT, and 3440×1440 resolution (21:9 aspect ratio). Like most VA panels, it has a decent contrast ratio of 3000:1, but the brightness is only 300 nits (typical). In addition, the panel has an 8-bit colour depth and covers 99% of the sRGB colour spectrum and 82% of the NTSC gamut.

Image quality and colour can be adjusted using multiple tools featured in the OSD. These include a black tuner, a 6-axis colour adjustment tool, and gamma settings. The monitor also supports AMD FreeSync Premium and features multiple colours presets to try, including a low blue light mode to prevent eye strain.

The monitor has an HDMI port, a DisplayPort, a headphone connector, and a USB-C 3.0 port with 65W power delivery and DP alt mode. Moreover, it features 2x 2W speakers, a LAN port, a USB hub with 3x USB-A 3.0 ports, and a KVM switch. With the latter, you may connect peripherals to the USB ports and use them on two PCs connected to the monitor with a simple change of a setting on the OSD menu.

Pricing and availability details are still to be confirmed. Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

LG is expanding its monitor portfolio with a new ultrawide curved monitor. The 34BP65C is a well-rounded monitor with a high refresh rate and large display, making it a suitable solution for gaming and work.

Packing a 34-inch curved (1800R) VA panel with a 3440x1440p resolution, the monitor features a 160Hz refresh rate and 5ms G2G response time. With a typical brightness of 300nits and a 3000:1 contrast ratio, the pre-calibrated 10-bit (8-bit + dither) panel can cover 99% of the sRGB colour gamut. Unfortunately, the monitor doesn't seem certified by VESA for HDR content, but the spec sheet still lists it as supporting HDR10 content.

As you may have expected, it supports Adaptive-Sync (AMD FreeSync Premium) to prevent tearing. Moreover, it also features flicker-free technology, a Low Blue Light (LBL) mode, a black colour enhancer and multiple colour modes. Lastly, it has a Motion Blur Reduction (MBR) mode and supports Dynamic Action Sync (DAS) to reduce input lag.

The 34BP65C packs 2x built-in 7W MaxxAudio speakers and features a DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The included stand is reasonably ergonomic, allowing users to tilt and adjust the height. Still, you can improve your options with a compatible VESA 100x100mm arm.

The LG 34BP65C is available for sale at the company's official US website for $520. Pricing and availability in the UK and Europe is still TBD.

The 43-inch IPS panel of the Acer XV431CP offers a 120Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and a 3840×1080 resolution. Those interested in gaming on the Acer XV431CP should know it features AMD FreeSync Premium, so you can switch on adaptive refresh rate to avoid screen tearing.

The 10-bit (8-bit +FRC) panel is capable of displaying over a billion colours, covering 93% of the DCI-P3 wide colour spectrum. Moreover, it features a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 350nits typical brightness, peaking at 400nits, enough to get it certified with VESA DisplayHDR 400.

The included ErgoStand allows users to tilt, swivel, and regulate the height. If the user wants to adjust beyond the stand's capabilities, it will need a compatible VESA arm monitor. For connectivity, there's a DisplayPort 1.2, an HDMI 2.0 port, an HDMI 1.4 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Additionally, it features 2x 2W speakers.

The Acer XV431CP is already available at some retailers, priced at €799. Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

HP's gaming monitor line-up is getting a new entry this month, the HP X34, not to be confused with Acer's own ultra-wide X34 monitor. The HP X34 packs an ultra-wide IPS panel with 1ms response times and a 165Hz refresh rate.

The HP X34 comes with a 34-inch IPS panel with 3440×1440 resolution, 1ms G2G response time, and 165Hz refresh rate. The panel features a 1000:1 contrast ratio, up to 400 nits of brightness, and 8-bit colour depth, covering 99% of the sRGB colour space.

Thanks to AMD FreeSync Premium, the HP X34 can offer a tearless gaming experience. Additionally, it features HP Eye Ease with TÜV Eyesafe certification, offering flicker-free technology and low blue light emission, and Gaming Console compatibility, allowing PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners to play at 1080p or 1440p and 120Hz in supported games.

On the back of the monitor, users can find an HDMI 2.0 port, a DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The included stand is quite limited, you can adjust height and tilt but there is no swivel functionality. Fortunately, VESA 100x100mm monitor arms are supported, so you can upgrade to a better stand or arm.

The HP X34 is compatible with Omen Gaming Hub, allowing users to configure the monitor from within Windows instead of using the OSD. The HP X34 is now available for purchase, priced at £400.

Asus is on a monitor announcement spree. Following the Strix XG43UQ and the XG27AQM, the company has now announced the Strix XG349C, featuring a curved panel with a 180Hz refresh rate and a UWQHD resolution.

The Asus ROG Strix XG349C features a Nano IPS panel with a 1900R curvature, a 3440×1440 resolution, and 1ms of response time (G2G). The monitor features Adaptive Sync, including support for both AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync Compatible mode. Additionally, it also comes with ELMB Sync that can be used simultaneously with G-Sync to further reduce motion blur.

The Nano IPS 10-bit (8-bit + FRC) panel has a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400nits of brightness, and comes factory calibrated with a ΔE<2. This allows the monitor to cover up to 98% of the DCI-P3 wide colour spectrum and receives VESA's DisplayHDR 400 certification. Moreover, specifications also show that the monitor features ‘Dynamically Local Dimming', but the number of dimming zones is unknown.

Like the other ROG Strix monitors, the XG349C comes with a lot of gaming-oriented features, including Shadow Boost, GamePlus overlay, GameVisual colour presets, flicker-free technology, and low blue light mode.

As for connectivity, there's an HDMI 2.0 port, a DisplayPort 1.4, 2x USB 3.0 ports, a USB-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a KVM switch. There's also a pair of 2W speakers for users that may not enjoy the use of headsets/earphones. The included stand emits a ROG logo to the desk and allows users to tilt, swivel, and adjust the height. There's also support for VESA 100x100mm mounting brackets.

We've known for a while now that Days Gone is the next major PS4 console exclusive to be coming to PC. Now, we have a date and our first look at the PC version in action ahead of launch next month.

Days Gone is coming to PC on the 18th of May on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Similarly to last year's Horizon Zero Dawn release, Days Gone will support 21:9 ultrawide displays, third-party controllers like the Xbox gamepad, as well as keyboard/mouse with remapping functions.
