Bank holiday SSD sale at Aria

If you saw our story on the first UK stock of 1TB Samsung 840 EVO SATA III SSDs and thought to yourself, “those are way too expensive!” even if they are approaching 50p per gigabyte, then don't fret, as Aria has your back once again. This weekend, which is a bank holiday for those of you who have forgotten (hurray!), Aria is doing discounts on all EVO drives.

Starting today and running until Tuesday the 27th, this deal should draw plenty of attention – but don't fret low stock, as Aria already has a second batch of drives on the way.

I'll just use the one image, as despite some being a lot bigger than others, they all look the same.

The discounted drives currently available are:

• 120GB Samsung EVO: £79.99
• 250GB Samsung EVO: £134.99
• 500GB Samsung EVO: £259.99
• 750GB Samsung EVO: £389.99
• 1000GB Samsung EVO: £494.99

All drives feature maximum read/write of 540MBps and 520MBps respectively, though 500GB and upwards drives have slightly better IOPS, with 98,000 as opposed to 97,000 and an extra 512MB of cache.
