Ubisoft now has its own game library subscription service

Over the last few years, we have seen a few major games publishers adopt the Netflix model with subscription services that grant access to a library of games. Xbox Game Pass and EA Access have both been quite successful in this area and now, Ubisoft is joining the ranks too with uPlay+.

uPlay+ will be a PC only service for the time being and it essentially offers the same benefits as EA’s Origin Access Premier. The deal is if you give Ubisoft $14.99 per month, you will get access to the ‘deluxe edition’ versions of all Ubisoft titles, including brand new releases when they launch.

The library will feature over 100 games at first and will grow over time as new games come out. Big releases like Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Watch Dogs Legion will be included, as will future Assassin’s Creed games and more.

You will be able to download all games and run them locally on your PC. However, in 2020, there will be a cloud streaming option, which will run on Google Stadia.
