Nintendo is hosting an indie game showcase later today

Nintendo has been very active recently as it begins ramping up promotion for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Today, the company will be turning its attention to third-party studios, with a Direct focused on upcoming indie games.

The Nintendo Indie World livestream returns today at 5PM BST. The stream will entirely focus on upcoming indie games for the Switch, lasting roughly 20 minutes. Given the runtime, we can expect to see quite a few game announcements, most of which should be releasing on Switch this year.

The video above is a direct link to the livestream. Nintendo's last Indie World stream took place in late 2022, and led to 20 new games being announced for the Switch.

This will likely be the last major livestream we see from Nintendo until June, at which point we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for summer showcases from all three major console makers, alongside other games publishers.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
