MSI AE2420 AIO PC 23.6 inch announced

MSI have detailed the release of their upcoming 3D ready, all in one PC, which they have named the Wind Top AE2420.

The Wind Top machine comes with a 23.6 inch LED backlit 120hz screen which is also multi touch, it is 1080p resolution and will be a good partner with the bluray drive which is supplied as well. MSI also bundle a wireless keyboard/mouse combo with remote control for media center duties.

The internals are based around a core i5 650 3.2ghz processor paired up with a HD5730 1GB graphics card. To round up the hardware selection they have included support for 2 and 4GB of DDR3 memory as well as features such as USB 3.0, HDMI and eSATA. They even throw in a set of speakers and a subwoofer, which while not able to shake the ground should prove a good option for a bedroom.

Obviously as the system is 3D capable, it comes with a set of 3D active shutter glasses. No information on release date or pricing as yet.

KitGuru Games: DLSS 5 misses the point

It would be hard to argue that NVIDIA’s DLSS technologies haven’t been a net positive to the PC space, with the machine-learning based upscaler successfully translating lower resolution inputs into a final image which is perceivably sharper while hogging fewer resources. Though somewhat more contentious, the next evolution of DLSS came in the form of Frame Generation, using ML in order to generate additional frames for high-refresh rate gaming. Both techniques can have their issues, but generally speaking they’ve allowed for more people to experience higher-end titles at increased frame rates. DLSS 5, however, takes a sharp pivot, with a very different end goal in mind than the performance-boosting versions that came before.
