Cooler Master Seidon 120M RL-S12M-24PK-R1 AMD support

We just wanted to bring this matter to the attention of our readers. We received a few emails from readers saying they had bought the Cooler Master Seidon 120M cooler and were unable to fit it to their AMD motherboard.

Reader Jay Ford said “The CoolerMaster Seidon 120M is not compatible with AMD motherboards. I received it today, and the spring screws are way too short to reach the back panel. I thought this might be me just being stupid, but if you read the NewEgg reviews (which I didn't because I'm from the UK; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103179), then it's clear that it's the product as a whole that's got no AMD support.”

We brought the matter to the attention of Cooler Master who have responded this morning. They said “We have had an Engineering change for Seidon 120M in ww41 last year (OCT 8th 2012).

Before implement the change, Our factory produced 1K pcs of Seidon 120M which without AMD back plate.

You know that we created an accessory for Seidon 120M OEM models, the AMD back plate can be order for OEM or RMA service.”

We hope this helps some people who may have bought the cooler and are wondering why their Seidon isn't compatible with their AMD motherboard.
