The Chinese Room, the studio behind the PC indie hit Dear Esther has revealed some information about Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture, a first person adventure developed for the Playstation 4.
At the official Playstation Blog, the co-directors of the story driven title Dan and Jessica have detailed more about the game which involves taking control of a scientist who is trying to work out why an apocalypse has taken place.
The Chinese Room say “It’s all about the end of the world. You play the role of a scientist, trapped in the very second of the apocalypse, and the game is about discovering what has happened. You do this by exploring a large open-world environment, and interacting with the objects, places and people you find to gradually unlock and put together the story.”
The developer details that the game is a non-linear adventure focusing on a well scripted storyline and the ’emotional journey’ of the characters. Check out the trailer on this page.
Kitguru says: It certainly looks interesting, but we reserve final judgement until we get time to play it.
