Game Pass Core is getting three more games next week

In 2023, Microsoft officially did away with Xbox Live Gold, replacing it with a new entry-level version of Game Pass. At the time, Microsoft confirmed plans to update the Game Pass Core library with new games every few months. Now, we've got our first update of 2024, bringing in three more games.

On April 23rd, three more games will become available to Game Pass Core subscribers, which grants access to less than 50 titles, many of which are considered to be ‘Game Pass hits'. The list naturally includes a good number of first-party titles from Microsoft's game studios, like Bethesda, 343 Industries, Playground Games, Ninja Theory and others.

The three new titles joining Game Pass Core are Deep Rock Galactic, Superhot: Mind Control Delete and Wreckfest. Having played all three titles, I can recommend each one. Wreckfest is silly racing fun, where destruction is the goal, while Superhot is a fantastic little puzzle game and the Mind Control Delete expansion brings even more content to play through.

The best game here is perhaps Deep Rock Galactic, one of my favourite co-op games. In this game, you and up to three other players team up as a band of Dwarves, sent out on missions to mine resources throughout space.
