Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake won’t be at E3, delayed to 2022

Ubisoft is getting some expectations in check in time for E3 this weekend. While the company does have new projects to announce and updates for previously announced games, some big names won't be there, including Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake.

Over on Twitter, Ubisoft announced that the Prince of Persia remake won't be appearing during Ubisoft Forward, which is taking place this weekend as part of E3 2021. The message reads: “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will not be in Ubisoft Forward. We are making great progress for our game to release next year, but we are not ready to share any additional information yet”.

The statement confirms that the remake has been officially pushed out of the 2021 release window. When Ubisoft first announced the game last September, it came with a January 2021 release date, which was later pushed to March 2021. Now, the game won't be coming out until 2022.

While delays are disappointing, this is likely good news to many fans. When the remake was first shown last year, many took issue with the art direction and graphical quality. The game is likely going to look quite different when it finally returns to the spotlight.

KitGuru Says: Prince of Persia will now return in 2022 instead. Are many of you looking forward to the remake?
